Or worse ...
Can you stomach the idea of President Biden?
I'll have to keep my barf-bag handy.

The country now has about the choices an animal has with a leg caught in a trap. It can just lay beside the trap and suffer until an outside element comes and bashes in its head and takes its fur, or it can chew its leg off and hobble off leaving a bloody trail. The latter will leave it alive, momentarily, but crippled forever.

Looking forward to 4 years of tears and fears from you idiots.
Posted by: Chris at January 19, 2009 2:24 PM
I don't tend to see tears or fears from the people on this site, Chris. I see perfectly reasonable dissent and protest against an encroaching socialism and liberal fascism. But by all means, come back often and try to convince us of the wisdom of your views.
Posted by: Karin at January 19, 2009 2:42 PM
Dissent is patriotic. Remember that?
Posted by: Archonix at January 19, 2009 2:51 PM
Agree with Karin's excellent response.
Chris - unlike Lib sites and media, Moonbattery does not need to disguise its intent. It is free of the fear of discovery that forces Libs to cloak themselves with Green, political correctness, academic doublespeak, political pork and socialist do-good entitlements.
We welcome you here to join in the discussion and set us straight on what it is we're missing.

My fear is less from Obama and more from the weak-kneed Republicans in the Senate who are perfectly willing to go along with Obama-mania. I fear that there will be no loyal opposition to capitalize on Obama's mistakes and propel the Democrats out of power in two or even four years.

Sal
That's the chewing off of the leg part (I mentioned above). If they would fight in the Senate and the Floor and the talk shows and give speeches at every forum they could get invited to against the Obama crazies, we might survive with just a terrible crippling.
Watch McCain! Whatever he does is probably the absolute wrong thing--he has an instinct for surrender and compromise that makes him a walking talking orgasm for libs.
Posted by: SnowSnake at January 19, 2009 3:13 PM
Anybody else notice the promos for CBS prime time shows during the AFC Championship? They borrowed the creepy Obamunist poster art and slogans.
Posted by: forest at January 19, 2009 3:19 PM
Sal,
The weak-kneed Republicans and moderate Democratic Party reps in the House/Senate are going to be steamrolled by the Obama "grass roots" organization, not answering to anyone but his monkey handlers.
The fine and often not so subtle art of Chicago style political intimidation and control is now becoming a national method of controlling Congress.
There will not be a true checks and balance between the Executive and Representative Branches of the Gov't.
Any Rep or Senator, regardless of political party affiliation, will be told what to vote on, or be thrown under a bus with 20 wheels.
I can only imagine what dirt they pulled on Nancy PolPotLucy, prior to the election, to get her to shut her garbage mouth and play ball with the One. Must be dirt and filth worthy of J. Edger Hoover notarity.

I suspect White Nationalist is the one who will be "purged" - from this site at least - for that comment.

As for you, white nationalist, would you rather have Biden as our president? I wouldn't...

Forrest Gump Attacks Mormons on Prop 8
I confess that I don’t know an awful lot about Mormons aside from the fact most of them live in Utah and, except for small bands of renegades, they gave up believing in polygamy over a century ago.
I’m not even certain they were ever true polygamists since by definition that word refers to the practice of having more than one spouse and, as far as I know, Mormon women weren’t permitted multiple husbands although the men folk could have as many wives as they could handle without the question of bigamy or trigamy entering the picture.
Personally, I think one wife is more than sufficient but that’s not the issue. I do agree with a Dutch proverb which holds, To marry once is a duty, twice a folly, thrice is madness.
Point is, if Mormonism didn’t permit women to wed and bed more than one hubby, were Mormons ever true polygamists? I feel there should be a better term since polyandry, if not strictly forbidden, was certainly not encouraged.
All that aside, the vast preponderance of Mormons today are married to one spouse. They seem to be a very industrious group as well as clean people, much like President-elect Obama was considered a clean African American by Vice President-elect Joe Biden. They also seem to be very religious people, I’d have to say an offshoot of Christianity but still Christians.
On and prior to November 4th, 2008, they demonstrated that religious fervor by generously funding the drive to pass California’s Proposition 8. That initiative was innocuous enough, a re-affirmation of the obvious, namely that a marriage consists of one male and one female, and not any other combination thereof. In any event, Proposition 8 passed in very left wing California and by a substantial majority which re-affirmed my fervent hope that Americans, and Californians, hadn’t gone totally off the deep end of common sense and of fundamental morality.
That passage, however, infuriated the gay community which was incensed that American citizens had exercised their constitutional prerogative and had endorsed the time-honored principle that a male wedding another male or a female wedding another female, or a guy marrying his pet frog, were distortions and aberrations of the institution of marriage, notwithstanding the views of the State of Massachusetts.
Gays went on a national rampage of protests, intimidation, and violence to show they disagreed with the Californian electorate. The rampage got them nowhere except free water and cupcakes when they demonstrated outside Pastor Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church.
So, the protests petered out and homosexuals regrouped and probably began planning their next effort to overturn the majority beliefs of Americans in 2010.
At this point, Forrest Gump entered the picture...

$5,000 Paper House is the World's Swankiest Hobo Pad
"Aside from having a convertible closed/open-air kitchen with table and benches, the Universal World House has a hidden killer feature:
It has been designed so that a family can slaughter an animal on the veranda, wash it in the shower and hang it, along with fish, on an integrated washing line."
With our spiral into third world status commencing sometime tomorrow, these may be luxury accommodations soon.
Nigeria and Angola already have their orders in.

I think White Nationalist is a child. The child should know if he reads material on this site, that there are several hundred reasons to dislike Obama and his policies as well as the policies of those who follow him and sing his praises. And it is not necessary or appropriate to mention his race. I suspect there are some of his race that aren't to keen on him or what he stands for. We wouldn't ban them from joining the struggle to save our country--it is their country too.

butlerj - sissors beats paper.
Gee - think there might be a mold problem in those.

"white nationalist" is obviously a liberal troll. They do this all over the internet to try and bring the wrong kind of attention to conservative sites.
I've seen boneheads like this guy everywhere, trying to discredit reputable conservative forums. Van Helsing should delete this trolls bile, and all of our comments mentioning his. Erase his ass from memory like leftists governments do to their enemies.

"So, will you support Pres. Obama?" I am so sick of this question.
Rush tackled this today and stated clearly that no, he won't, because he doesn't agree with Obama's policies. But I just heard Sarah Palin say on Glenn Beck's new FNC show that Yes, it was very important to support the President and she would... but then agreed with Beck that one should speak out about and fight against policies one doesn't agree with. We're in a nut-cracker, those of us who want to sound cordial and say "Yes I'll support the pres... but not regarding policies I disagree with." What is there to agree with? The only thing I've heard from him that rings true is his Cosby-like message of responsibility to Black dads regarding their children. So... am I just being disingenuous when I say "Yes, I'll support Pres. Obama" when I know I'll disagree with 99% of his policies?
I found myself falling into a similar hole with Bush, as he kept turning his back on so many key conservative principles. And, if McCain had won, he'd only be good for 50% of my supportat best - and me hoping for a Pres. Palin to take over sooner vs. later.
Humph. Thinking too much. Still bummed about the Ravens losing last night. Need more burbon.

THINGS TO REMEMBER ON INAUGURATION DAY
1. Barry Soetero (aka Barack Hussein Obama) has hired a team of lawyers to keep us from seeing his long form birth certificate.
2. He spent a great deal of his childhood in Indonesia as an Indonesian citizen.
3. He attended high school in Hawaii and went to Harvard with dubious financial backing.
3. He has not released a single sheet of academic records.
4. He traveled to Pakistan in 1981 on what must have been an Indonesian passport.
5. We don't know why he moved to Chicago.
6. His IL senate records have been "lost".
7. He spent 20 years agreeing with racial hate speech up. Including virulent Antisemitism.
8. His extremely brief U.S. Senate record is so far left it's almost communist.
9. Is a rabid supporter of partial birth abortions to the point of alienating other liberal Democrats.
10. One of his chief mentors and associates is unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground.

INAUGURAL REFLECTIONS
Just some random musings on the big event that is to occur in the nation’s capital on January 20th, 2009:
…The oft-heard expression, What would Jesus have done . . . can be applied to Obama’s record-splitting, $170,000,000 inaugural festivities and based on President Obama’s abortion record alone, I’m guessing He wouldn’t show up even if He were invited. If He did grant an appearance, He may ask Obama how many poor that 170,000,000 would feed, clothe, and shelter.
…..Abraham Lincoln no doubt would have gotten an invite but honest-to-a-fault Abe, Obama’s presidential hero and model, should be the last person to be invited. As Leonard Pitts of the Miami Herald has pointed out, Lincoln, the Great Emancipator, was adamantly opposed to mixing races and believed African Americans were inferior. Maybe he could be assigned a seat in the back somewhere?
…..Obama may show the world how much he believes in change by showing up at one or more of the dozen or so inaugural balls tie-less, maybe even shirtless to show off his abs as he did on that Hawaii beach last month. The man repeatedly proclaimed he wanted a still undefined “change” so this would be a great way to get the change-ball rolling. Instead of top hat and tails, this could be Obama at the planned at the “Hip Hop Inaugural Ball” at the Harman Center:
…..Last we heard, Obama’s half-bro, George Hussein Onyango Obama, is still eking out a meager survival on $2.00 a month in his shantypad outside Kenya’s capital and will probably be a no-show in D.C. He will just have to be content with having a mention in Barack’s autobiography as a “beautiful boy with a rounded head.”
…..Rev. Jeremiah God-Damn-America Wright will be in attendance, however, since now there’s no need for the pretense that he and “Barry” have been on the outs. The charade need not be continued that Obama and family sat in the pews of Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ for 20 years and never noticed Wright was an America-hating fruitcake. The election is over and Jeremiah is free to crawl out of his rathole and resume dissing America. . . .

THINGS TO REMEMBER ON INAUGURATION DAY
16. 8 years of George Bush and the state we are in, right now, at the end of 8 years of George Bush ...and how on earth people could be so stupid to vote for 4 more years of George Bush after the first 4... OK, I know you were afraid of Arabs with box cutters but still... George Bush??? What were you thinking???
Posted by: DeBushification at January 20, 2009 3:56 AM
I'm wearing black today to show my mourning for the passing of what was once a great nation--a spectacular experiment in human freedom that gave birth to a blessed Republic. I fear for its future because of how this new President--America's first Marxist Commander-in-Chief--will begin its slow decline into a socialist state. And I fear that the socialism will be just the beginning of the eventual death of our country. We will have a bigger issue facing us when we have to stand in judgment for what we have allowed to happen since the passage of Roe-V-Wade--the continuous genocide of our weakest, most dependent citizens. And this total won't slow down with this man sitting behind the President's desk. B.O. actually voted against a measure to permit caregivers from helping babies born after a botched abortion instead of allowing them to die on a cold table in a soiled linen closet. How heartless! God will not be merciful and shed His light on a country that has, since the passage of Roe-V-Wade, legally killed 50 million of its own children. Maybe Jeremiah Wright was prophetic when he screamed from his pulpit, "God damn American," because the Almighty surely cannot continue to bless a land that in its daily inner-workings allows the killing of the unborn and, in some circles, actually celebrates this as a civil right. America, no matter what, each of us needs to begin to change our hearts. It's only through God that true Hope and Change will occur.
Posted by: catholicdude at January 20, 2009 6:28 AM
Let the festivities begin......170 million and counting should buy a lot of bling for the brothers and sisters of the new America of hopey-changey no more mortgage bills era. The over spending is Bush's fault of course. Barry the unicorn rider with glistening pecs, is, of course, mentally unstable with pathological narcissism, but alas that is Bush's fault too. I broke my baby toe once in 2006 and that was Bush's fault, that weasel. He is soooo omnipotently evil!!
Posted by: cathy at January 20, 2009 6:52 AM
Debush...
Hell, I'd take 40 more years of Bush before I'd take 4 more years of Carter, which is what YOU voted for. You're probably too young to remember Jimmuh and his Keynesian nutball spending policies. Don't worry; you're about to learn. We're all about to get a refresher course.
In four years, you're in for a harsh wake-up call when Mom & Dad can't afford to help (or totally support) you after having their savings & incomes wiped out by runaway inflation & their retirement funds destroyed by a crashing stock market.
Good luck, kid.

Dissent is patriotic? That's funny, when did this happen? Everyone dissenting the last 7-8 years were called Anti-American by you moonbats. I'll make a mental note that the definition has been corrected.
More entertaining, is the constant whining about Wright. It's completely fine for Falwell and Robertson to blame the US for 9/11, but not Wright? Was it because he was yelling?
I know you guys are afraid of everything, but, seriously, it's just a black man yelling in church.
Also, have you guys been fitted for burqas yet?
Posted by: Chris at January 20, 2009 7:45 AM
"It's completely fine for Falwell and Robertson to blame the US for 9/11, but not Wright?"
Bush did not attend Fallwell or Robertson's church for the last 20 years, like Obama did for Wright's church.
Posted by: Adam at January 20, 2009 7:52 AM
Haha
That's supposed to be a difference?
Ted Haggard advised the White House, but, that doesn't make Bush gay, or agree with the lifestyle.
Posted by: Anonymous at January 20, 2009 8:13 AM
And who said it was fine? I thought it was nutty, myself. Anyway, you're equivocating, and that's not a compelling arguement.
Chris, can you please explain your Burqha comment?
Posted by: Karin at January 20, 2009 8:17 AM
I'm referring to the countless emails I received from McCain/Palin supporters claiming we're to become an Islamic state.
Of course, then there were the "we're going communist" from the same folks, which means that they couldn't comprehend that communism isn't compatible with a theocracy.
Oh, I almost forgot...Obama will declare himself the anti-christ.
You guys are so cute when you are scared.
Regardless, have a nice day.
