Obama's Global Warming Czarina Carol Browner Makes Money on Offsets
Communists do have one thing in common with capitalists: they like money. Take Carol Browner for example. Obama's choice for Global Warming Czarina is an actual Marxist, but that doesn't mean she's above making a buck off the global warming hoax, which she will soon be in a position to prop up with all the force and stolen riches of our monstrously bloated federal government.
Browner is a board member of APX, a leading carbon offset trading company.
Here we were thinking no one could be more disqualified by conflict of interest than impending Secretary of State Shrillary Rotten.
There's more to the climate change farce than crippling our economy to pave the way for socialism, while granting unprecedented power over every aspect of our lives to evil bureaucrats like Browner. There's also money to be made — but only by a few, at the expense of all the rest.

On tips from Burning Hot and LT Nixon.
Update:
William Teach at Pirate's Cove posted on this too, and was told the following by APX:
We will take you up on your request for further info, and would like to clarify that Ms. Browner immediately resigned from the APX board and has no financial interest in the firm, to ensure that there is no conflict of interest.
To clarify another point, some blogs have referred to APX as a "trading" company. This is incorrect. APX Inc. is a provider of market technology and infrastructure services, and is not a broker, marketer, trader, or an exchange. In fact, APX revenue is unrelated to the price of the environmental certificates that we track and record, and the firm takes no position in these markets. We are policy neutral, except to the extent that we believe market-based approaches can be an effective means to achieve environmentally important objectives. Our aim is to ensure that there is the greatest level of transparency and integrity in environmental markets, and ensuring a level playing field for all market participants. A European firm and an Australian firm with similar names (unrelated to APX Inc.) are involved in trading and exchange activities, so that may have caused confusion for some bloggers.
Now where would bloggers get the idea that left-wing environmentalist demagogues would profit from the global warming hoax?

They have to be aware of this. My bet is that they think no one is paying attention.

Human corpses as alternative power? If Hitler had thought of this and turned concentration camps into power plants Moonbats of today would probably be praising him as a visionary.

Truth is stranger than satire: Dead people to provide "alternative energy heat" to crematorium
Not even two weeks has passed since GORE LIED linked to a post from The People's Cube regarding a satirical proposal to burn dead people as an alternative fuel:
Comrades, we all know that the dead workers and peasants of the USSA have voted many times for our socialist fraternal brothers and sisters in government. However, other than voting, these dead comrades do nothing for us. Is there not a way we can reanimate these corpses and put them to work? Perhaps feed them into one of Algore's new zero emission clean power plants? NecroPower anyone?
Kinda funny. Until today. Cleantechnica.com reports:
If you’re dead and worried about the carbon emissions created from your cremation, relax. The Swedish town of Halmstad has a solution. After an environmental review showed that Halmstad’s crematorium was pumping too much smoke into the air, the facility’s director decided to re-use heat from the cremations to warm up the crematorium’s buildings.
The plan will both eliminate the crematorium’s heating bill and allow it to save money on cooling smoke before it is released into the air.
Locals in the town of 55,000 approve of the crematorium’s system, so it should be up and running soon. If the plan is successful, the crematorium eventually wants to pipe heat from its facilities to area homes. And while some may protest Halmstad’s plan on moral grounds, I’m sure that the potential monetary savings for the town will ultimately keep them quiet."

This looks like a conflict of interest. I'm sure the Messiah will set it straight.

Conflict of interest? No, no, no. They'll explain this is a feather in her cap, it gives her even more expertise. No one that's truly qualified wouldn't have some ties to the "industry."

I worked for a paper mill when Browner was EPA chief. I blame her, among others, for the shutdown of this mill, with her onerous and inflexible environmental demands of older factories. She tossed 600 people out on their asses, into a locale where there was no other game in town. They all had to uproot and move away. Joads, anyone? Where were the bleeding hearts then?
I hate Carol Browner.

I'm sure there are countless other stories just like yours, Karin. If we had anything like journalists anymore we would have read about thousands of such things from all over the country.

For a Democrat to be unqualified, they would have to foam at the mouth, roll their eyes back until only whites showed, have screaming conversations with demons they can only see and go into spasms of ecstasy where they roll on the floor and chew on the carpet while urinating and defecating all over themselves. Even then it would be a close call (Schumer, Dodd, and Reid would consider it normal). If they are only a little crazy like Browner is, there aren't any questions.

I see that the temps are as low as -40 in the northern US. Is Algore touring up there?

25 below on the way to work this morning. More of the same expected.

Hey, Van, check your email. I forwarded it something I got from APX on Browner.

Let me see if I have this right. A member of the Socialist International has been appointed as a Czar. In the United States government.
That has got to be a joke.

Send the greenpeace wackos and AL GORE to the planet ALPHA 177 where they have a comfy night time tempeture of 120 below zero and still they would blame it on global warming

Consuming our dead for heat?
Well… I sure hope they have a
“Cannibalic Carbon Capture System!”

"...we believe market-based approaches can be an effective means to achieve environmentally important objectives"
What a crock. These "markets" only exist due to government coercion. More regulation means more "business" in the "market". We can't let socialists co opt the language of free markets. People are liable to get confused.
Posted by: forest at January 15, 2009 5:48 AM
Damn straight, D. King. Hearing moonbats utter "market solutions" and "level the playing field" is just scary.
Envirobats talk about a global warming tipping point. Here's a real tipping point: when expensive and ineffective policies get implemented and the democrats point to the lack of global warming as evidence that those policies are working. Once we reach that point, those policies will be in place for the rest of our lives.
