Obamania Already Getting Tired?

Despite the extravagant spending, the media's hyperbolic hype, and the apocalyptic ruin Obamatron hordes made out of DC, the numbers show that people found Reagan's inauguration much more interesting:

Preliminary Nielsen estimates show that 29.2% of U.S. households were watching the presidential inauguration — easily the largest in decades but below the 37.4 household rating for Reagan. Obama's figures include viewership on roughly 15 broadcast and cable networks, while the Reagan ceremony was viewed only on ABC, CBS and NBC … In primetime, Fox's "American Idol" scored the biggest numbers Tuesday, as auds seemed to tire of inaugural coverage.

If the hype was getting too old to compete with tired trash like American Idol even as the Anointed One ascended, wait until the media demands we worship him despite the plunging living standards that will inevitably result from his moonbat policies.

On a tip from The MaryHunter.

I wondered who was watching that bore fest besides unemployed Obama cultists.

I saw about 3 minutes of that old civil rights guy dredging up out-dated racialist BS, and that was more than enough for me.

I just glanced at your headline, Van, and I thought it said "Obama Already Tired?" I expected a report of signs that he realizes he's in. over. his. head. Maybe curled up in a little ball in the corner.

Let's not forget that when Reagan was elected the Iranians waited until he has signed some papers accepting the Presidency before the plane with the hostages went wheels up in Teheran....I was watching for that. And breathed a sigh of relief that Jimmu was out...

I'm glad you eternal scrooges have your little chunk of internet(s) wilderness here where you can be angry and hateful, rant and rave and type shit and stay out of the way of the rest of us while we get on with the work of deBushification, unReaganizing and putting Dixie down in her grave once and for all ....in this new day (hey...nice concept for an alt-country song, "Dixies Grave")

Just keep pretending it matters and punching those keys, working on those ulcers and that high blood pressure. Someday it will all be over. May god have mercy on your souls.

United Socialist America... yes we are!

Were taking your women too... they naturally prefer us flaming liberals... were happy to have them on top too if thats what they're "into"... you guys always have to be on top or you think your not being manly enough... pretty SMALL minded..

Get used to it ...United Socialist America... yes we will!

In fairness to our Dear Leader, I think comparing the ratings of Reagan's 1980 inauguration to Obama's '08 one is not a very good indicator of interest. For one, folks had the option of watching on the internet (or attempting to anyway). Secondly, the coverage dragged on for so long that even die-hards would be tempted to switch over to something else for a while, kind of like what has happened to the Super Bowl pre-game coverage and half-time show, which have ballooned to more time than the actual game.

As for the latest troll, USA, don't you just love how when conservatives voice their opinion, liberals knee-jerkingly label it as "hateful"? However, when liberals viciously attack a woman and her family non-stop for two months, they show not the slightest self-awareness that their attacks could be fairly described as "hateful"?

Hey, dude, whatever you do with "Inflatable Irma" is your business. We don't care.

OK folks I'm sorry... It's just so tempting to mess with your heads, not that I'm necessarily any good at it... but really I feel sorry for you people sometimes ...you're all so miserable apparently... you take it all much too seriously... what is it your worried about... not enough money for retirement? Just can't handle a black man as President when it comes down to it?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm quite sure most of you live away from big cities, in the far out burbs, if not in the country, away from those things you don't like and nothing Obama does is really going to change in your lives. If you make enough to actually have to pay 2% federal taxes... and you don't have enough...I think YOU have a problem and should go back and read the Sermon On The Mount ...if the economy really tanks... we will have our own pursuit of easy money, easy wealth, to blame... If you cant handle the black man in charge... if he pulls us through this mess which will be no small task... maybe you'll change your minds.

I was just kidding about United Socialist America thing... though maybe, we could all just get along...NAHHhh!....

Anybody glean anything coherent out of USA's ulcer-induced, rage-driven rant of projection other than it lives in a city and is most likely angry that his mother hasn't brought his lunch down to the basement quite as fast as he likes.

Odd thing I've noticed from the lefties, 'specially the trolls. How can us eeeevil old conservatives be simultaneously making less than what it takes to pay 2% federal taxes, and at the same time hogging all the wealth (necessitating the Messiah "spreading it around")?

Kinda like how Bush was simultaneously an ignoramus AND an evil genius bent on world domination?

Also, it's always the other side that brings up race & racism... apart from the occasional nutjob, conservatives are more concerned with policy than skin tone. I don't care if he's got polka-dots; what are his policies going to do?

As for those policies:

USA, if history is anything to go by, doing what Hoover and FDR did in the same situation will produce the same or similar results. The worst year of the Great Depression wasn't 1930, it was 1937 - fully 4 years into FDR's administration. The most he ever borrowed in a year, even in the deepest throes of socialist madness, was 6% of GNP. Obama is proposing borrowing 11% this first year of his administration.

When you talk about the pursuit of easy money, easy wealth... look in the mirror. We worked for our money, and liberals want to steal it (legally, of course) in the name of the 'common good'. Don't be surprised if it pisses us off a little.

"Just can't handle a black man as President when it comes down to it?"
Ah, the true sign of both a radical moonbat and an obsessive, fawning Obamunist: If anyone dares to disagree with Barack Obama or criticize him or his policies in any way, that person is automatically an evil racist who REALLY only opposes Obama due to race.
Of course, our problem with Obama couldn't have anything to do with:
1. His immense lack of experience.
2. His economic policies which reek of Socialism.
3. His close personal association with numerous highly questionable people.
4. His massive support of abortion.
5. His elitist attitude towards "Bitter" small- town people.
6. His support as a Senator of projects like the Community Re-investment Act which contributed largely to the housing crisis that was one of the foremost causes of our current economic problems.

No, forget all those reasons: We all must REALLY have a problem with Barack Obama just because he's black (In fact, he's technically mixed- race, not black), right USA?

Someone please let me know where the magical "Unicorn Land" is that I only have to pay 2% in taxes. PLEASE, I'm begging you.

I'm ready to pack up the family and move there tomorrow, unless it means that I have to be a liberal or illegal alien, or wealfare dude and not have a job, but get free Tax Rebates (on money I never payed taxes on).

You are a First Class Idiot - and you know who I mean.

Hey Idiot, even most useless Democratic Party wealfare voters and illegal aliens still pay up to 10% of their income, like the rest of us, on sales tax, property taxes, fees.......

Your a real tool and Idiot. I really hope your parents did not waste too much money trying to get you an education, because they failed you.
