I know all about the SS and the SA as well as the Holocaust. So did about 1/3 of my aunts, uncles, and cousins that lived in Germany at the time. My grand father was on the beaches of Normandy and was there when Mathausen was liberated. I saw the pictures that he took of the death camp. My grand mother still has them. Please don't attempt to lecture me about this subject.

Oh yea I forgot I also remenber my great grandmother talking about how it was to live under Nazi rule. I also remeber Mr. and Mrs. Kilstein talking at the sabbath table about the camp they were interned to...if I remember right I beleive it was Dacouh. They still had their tatoos you know. Of course, in the next edition of the campus newspaper, Hill was portrayed as a beautiful, brave, noble saint, and the College Republicans were all portrayed as a bunch of horrible, evil monsters.

CO2 is not poison. It will cause death just as will water, nitrogen, argon, vacuum, neon, and chicken soup if it is present in such a way that it causes a mammalian critter to not get enough oxygen. It actually is essential to life. If there were no available CO2 in the atmosphere, we would eventually as a species become room temperature as we would not have anything to eat. (In the end, we live because photosynthesis converts CO2 to Oxygen and in the process makes plant tissue). CO2 is a biproduct of the consumption of food and the conversion of food to energy so we and everything else that depends on the Krebs cycle give off CO2. We need oxygen also as long as we don't get too much for too long. The astronauts need an atmosphere with oxygen in it and not too much CO2. If there is no way to recycle, a living organism in a closed space will use up the oxygen and convert it to CO2. This will eventually cause loss of consciousness and eventually death. It is so painless that it is frequently used to euthanize animals (dry ice and confined space or pressure cylinder of CO2). One could also fill the closed space with chicken soup and cause death, but it seems to be more painful and a waste of good chicken soup.
