...and now Blaggo is set to name the next Illinois Senator (just hit the headlines). This guy gives corruption a bad name!
If he stays on as Governor (nothing would surprise me at this point) maybe he could bring in Bernard Madoff as State Treasurer, appoint OJ Simpson as head of the Illinois Dept. of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Tony Rezko to run Housing & Urban Development.

This is hilarious, a right wing blog named for "moon" in any form pointing fingers at liberals. I guess you know the number one funder, the man who outpsent ANYONE over the last 30 years funding, promoting, propping up and molding the conservative movement as we see it today was none other than Sun Myung Moon.
You ever run any posts about how the Bush family supports Moon's messianic mission? So does the conservative movement as a whole since they have been formed into his homophobic, authoritarian, theocratic image.
read down here about where billions came from to mold conservatism. And you thought Soros was trying to buy the democratic party? Look who your number one financier is, or hasn't Rush told you yet?

matter of opinion dg.

No, dg, we don't talk about Bush's connection to Moon, or the Saudis, or the Ancient Order of Illuminati, or the space-aliens beaming microwaves at your tinfoil hat either.
The blog you link to appears to have an entire total of postings equalling 1, and that over a month old. Quite the authoritative source. It's primary reference is based in that hotbed of erudite and legitimate journalism, The Solomon Islands. Others include a brief snippet from a Phillipine newspaper and a Lefties-for-Jesus kook site called "Talk To Action", which manages in it's statement of purpose to pine about having a place for discussion that isn't agenda-driven right before it lays out it's agenda and 'no-go-there' topics. Then there's freedomofmind.com, run by a former moonie who's got a very large axe to grind (and not just against moon, this guy has a laundry list. Mormons are at the top.)
Some of this stuff I certainly agree with... but trying to tie Moon to conservatives... wtf? Why, because he professess anti-communism? Have you not noticed that lately the communists are professing anti-communism? I mean, seriously, this has to be a joke, right? Moonies are the puppeteers of the Bush Administration?
I think you need fresh tinfoil.

It ironic that an Obama follower would whine about right-wing connections to a cult.

And now dg can go put on his obamajamas, wash his hands with obamasoap, sip his obamatea, and rub his obamacoins for good luck while replaying The One's acceptance speech in the Greek Temple set and try to deny that he's not a member of a creepy cult.

2008–THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
As a tumultuous 2008 draws to a lurching close and a turbulent 2009 waits in the wings for the Times Square ball to drop tomorrow night, it’s an apt time to look back on the past year.
However, since every broadcast and cable network is already presenting its 2008 Year in Review, it would be redundant to do so here. Instead, I humbly offer my picks for the best, the worst, and the ugliest ”things” of 2008.
All of those categories feature multiple, worthy contestants although there are far fewer candidates vying for the peak of the good heap than there are for the bad and ugly top spots.
Far and away the best thing to happen to America over the past year would also have to be the choice for the past seven years as well, namely a non-event, the fact that the nation has not suffered another terrorist attack in almost 88 months.
That fact has led to a distinctly blase’ attitude among many Americans who have pushed memories of 9/11/2001 to back burners or have pushed it off the stove entirely, which is extremely unfortunate since those who forget the past historically ended up reliving it in the future.
Despite one’s view of President George W. Bush, he has to be accorded his due. Our national security programs and systems are deeply flawed, as has been pointed out in this space, but they have evidently been sufficiently effective, so far.
What the future holds, what 2009 and ensuing years have in store for us, is speculative at best but, as of now, we are relatively secure as a nation so the best thing not to happen to America in 2008 is easily the absence of another assault. For that, Americans should be deeply thankful and should be praying the situation continues. GWB deserves tip of the hat.
I struggled to choose the worst thing about 2008 because of the more subjective nature of such a choice....

dg wins the Sherlock Holmes award of the year. I was myself shocked to find it true. And to think I've been reading it for years now without an inkling.

dg,
Explain how any action or inaction committed by Bush and/or Sun Myung Moon excuses Blagojevich's corruption, or the general pervasive culture of corruption that permeates Chicago and Illinois government.

Screw Panda Internet Security for both spamming a comments section AND for failing to adapt their AV to screen non-MS mail browsers like Thunderbird. That's right, unless you use Outlook or Outlook Express, Panda cannot screen for malware of any sort in your incoming email.

Conservatism in the U.S. "molded" by the Moonies?
How 'bout that! Seem to recall since this country's inception that conservatives existed in our country, you know, the folks who created our government not to mention the vast majority who ran it before the real moonbats elbowed and cheated their way in.
The only people I know who were "molded" and mildewed by Moon are from Uranus, and I don't mean the planet.
