7 bids! Some people really want that seat, despite it now being a piec of crap.

Posted by: Big_Daddy at December 12, 2008 9:18 AM

whoever gets it should feel dirty.

Posted by: nanc at December 12, 2008 9:36 AM

Ebay pulled the Prison Toilet auction. I wonder how long until this one is pulled? Especially with the bid so high.

The Russians will probably buy it and place it next to Lenin's tomb. It's a symbol/relic of their success.

Shameful prick

Diff. topic: Didn't Dingy Harry say yesterday, in response to the Repub. senators balking on the auto bailout,"I shudder to think what the Dow will look like tomorrow, because of you" or some such. The Dow is actually up 34 points.

I wonder about the symbolism of the most radical democrat in the senate using a red chair.

I would like to talk about something I heard on the radio this morning. I googled it and tried to find the article on-line, but I couldn't find it (not a recent one, anyway).

There are some school districts in this country that are banning (or thinking about banning) "giving" a student a zero if that student does absolutely nothing. They think it's unfair and harsh. If a student does absolutely nothing on an assignment or a test, some districts want the lowest grade to be 50%.

I had a principal once who "suggested" to us that the lowest grade should be 69% (since we use the grading scale where 69% is the highest F). Unfortunately, that guy was a complete moron, but he got moved up to a higher post at the school board district office.

As a teacher, I will NEVER do that. EVER!! If I give a test, and a student turns it in with nothing but his/her name on it, guess what...big fat ZERO!!! If I assign an essay or project, all students will earn a big, fat ZERO who turn nothing in to me (or who try to turn it in late).

If this crap ever makes it to my school district, I will lose my job before I contribute to the welfare mentality....Give me something for doing nothing!!! (also the "I'm not responsible for my actions or inactions" mentality)

just wanted to get that off my chest.
Thanks for listening.

Ted Stevens and the fact that almost half of Pal-alaska still voted for him

I got to thinking about what the 180 degree difference in policy for terrorists would be from what Obama suggests.

I think after a terrorist attack the only objective would be to find out from which country the attack was launched. That country would then have 72 hours to find and execute everybody involved. If they required torture, interrogation drugs, etc to locate and find the terrorists--that would be their problem. If they proved to us that everybody involved was dead, we forget it. If not, we attack. We destroy their infrastructure, kill all their leaders and terrorists and probably a lot of innocent people. We totally blockade all access to their country for goods, travel, and information for 10 years. We do not send aid, we do not permit anybody else to send aid. Any vehicle, ship, or person trying to enter or leave the country is destroyed.

At the press conference after it is announced that all the leaders and terrorists are dead, the president walks out to the microphones and looks into the camera and says one word, "Next?" He then turns on his heel and stalks away.

Good news for the Third World, money for nothin'!

Poor nations to get funds to fight climate change

http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2008/12/12/poor-nations-get-funds-fight-climate-change.html

Some of this money is going to go to building sea walls (rising sea levels, you know). Imagine those little South Pacific islands with sea walls built around them. The world has gone completely insane.

This is an excellent comment from another poster, on Newsbusters.org. I like it:

DScott said:

"The real issue for Obama is not that he didn't like the idea of paying to get his choice for the senate seat, the real issue is that Obama did not contact the proper authorities, the FBI, to report Blagojevich for attempting to engage in fraud, i.e. enterprise corruption. This is particularly troubling since as the President-elect, the leader of our country, this man chose to allow a corrupt politician to carry on with his activity with no opposition. As the POTUS, we expect him to uphold the Law, set the example and not tolerate those who feel they can use their position for personal gain. By Obama not outting Blagojevich to the FBI, what he has essentially said by his deliberate inaction is his loyalty to the Democrat Party is greater than his loyalty to the United States of America."

Here's a daily roundup of what Kos is talking about today (a real snoozefest)
1) UAW vs. GOP
2) Possibility of having an intellectual as Energy secretary.
3) MN senate race
4) Arlen Specter
5) Intelligence Nominations
6) Jobless claims
7) Little section on Blago

They're like the networks..."don't talk about it, it'll go away!"

"the mainly the current party of the arrogant and greedy"

What the hell kind of a sentence is that? Sounds like a translation; a bad one.

But 12:39? Links. Proof. Just something to keep in mind; when you want to make a point, you make the case. I'm sure I could make a damning list of democrats, if I had all their names to start with; the media always seems to omit their party affiliation when they get caught.

Why is that?

Posted by: comet at December 12, 2008 2:26 PM

He missed Barack Obama D-IL on that list, too.

Posted by: Karin at December 12, 2008 2:45 PM

The poor little anonymous Obamamoonies are already trying to spin the topic away from their Dear Leader ... the first administration in history to become a train wreck before it even leaves the station.

It looks to me like Anonymous troll (or wherever he copy/pasted from) just made a list of Republicans he didn't like and threw in a few too-obvious Democrats to give the illusion of balance.

Hey all you Moonbattery moonbats! Get out yer "I love Gitmo" T shirts and show Rumsfeld some support... he may need it, I very much hope.

Hussein and First (time proud of country) Lady now part of the birth of Jesus

President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are appearing in Italian nativity scenes this year, alongside the baby Jesus and wise men, according to Naples craftsmen selling figurines in the run-up to Christmas

ALL politicians are weasels. Getting into "my daddy can beat up your daddy" crap is childish.

The difference in the Right and Left is the Right generally recognizes the fact that politicians are weasels, while the left writes worship songs and teaches their children to pray to their Obama-like fool-idols.

Liberals are very scary. All cults are.

As I indicated, ALL politicians are weasels.

Check this out:

For a mere 50K, you get a 4-day inauguration trip

WASHINGTON – The inauguration committee of President-elect Barack Obama, who ran on a platform to change the way business is done in Washington, is selling four-day packages of four tickets to his historic swearing-in ceremony and parade plus some extras in exchange for $50,000.

The deal does represent a change. President Bush charged $250,000, selling his supporters a much bigger menu of inaugural goodies that featured candlelight dinners.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081213/ap_on_go_pr_wh/selling_the_inaugural

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll sit home, clean my guns, wax my riding lawnmower, eat some boiled possum belly, brush my tooth, wipe my butt with a corncob, kiss my dog, read my bible and go to bed early so I can get up and meet my cousins for some noodling down at the swamp.

LOL! At least Bush was smart enough to get 200k more for nothing extra but a candle and a filet! Oh... I forgot - Bush is the stupid one. *snicker*

Posted by: Jimbo at December 12, 2008 9:23 PM

But then -
KFC and Church's must be booked, so where would Obama sell candlelight dinners to? :-)
