There hasnt been a truly free market since the 1930s.
Its no accident that the economy collapsed after the Democrats won control of Congress in 2006. No accident at all. Its all part of their master plan to turn America into Cuba.

Sigh. Hi Dino. I see you're back to regurgitate MoveOn.org's "Manifesto Talking Point #6".
Pray tell, exactly what examples of "pursuit of free-market economics", et al, which supposedly brought us here do you have? Shall we once again show you the videos of all the Democrat scumbags saying on the floor of the US Congress that there's nothing wrong with Fannie & Freddie?

My apologies to anyone who replies to a comment that subsequently disappears. All Dino droppings are being deleted.

The program that Fred Thompson is describing sounds like the economic equivalent of a perpetual motion machine. Those things never work.
Barring someone doing something monumentally stupid, we'll probably be out of this recession by this time next year. We will have been no matter who won. The economy seems to be on about a seven year cycle, with the last downturn being in about 2000-2001.

THE BACKSIDE OF THE DOLLAR BILL
I don’t know the author of this gem but as we prepare to shell out lots of them for Christmas presents, it’s an interesting and informative disection of the lowly American one dollar bill and the meanings behind all the patriotic and religious symbols and doodads thereon. At the bottom of this post is a repeat of an earlier link for the music and story of an American classic, “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” which is worth another listen or if you missed the initial posting. (Please excuse the font changes.)
THE ONE DOLLAR BILL:
Take out a one dollar bill, and look at it. The one dollar bill you’re looking at first came off the presses in 1957 in its present design. This so-called paper money is in fact a cotton and linen blend, with red and blue minute silk fibers running through it. It is actually material. We’ve all washed it without it falling apart. A special blend of ink is used, the contents we will never know. It is overprinted with symbols and then it is starched to make it water resistant and pressed to give it that nice crisp look.
If you look on the front of the bill, you will see the United States Treasury Seal. On the top you will see the scales for a balanced budget. In the center you have a carpenter’s square, a tool used for an even cut. Underneath is the Key to the United States Treasury.
That’s all pretty easy to figure out, but what is on the back of that dollar bill is something we should all know.
If you turn the bill over, you will see two circles. Both circles, together, comprise the
Great Seal of the United States. The First Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and a group of men come up with a Seal.
It took them four years to accomplish this task and another two years to get it approved.
If you look at the left hand circle, you will see a Pyramid. Notice the face is lighted, and the western side is dark. This country was just beginning. We had not begun to explore the West or decided what we could do for Western Civilization.
The Pyramid is uncapped, again signifying that we were not even close to being finished. Inside the capstone you have the all seeing eye, an ancient symbol for divinity.
It was Franklin’s belief that one man couldn’t do it alone, but a group of men, with the help of God, could do anything.
“IN GOD WE TRUST” is ...
