New York Times Desperately Borrows Against Its New Headquarters

Despite the political success moonbattery has enjoyed recently, it isn't thriving on the marketplace. The New York Times — the top dog of leftwing journalism, from which the alphabet networks take their marching orders — continues its decline:

The New York Times Company plans to borrow up to $225 million against its mid-Manhattan headquarters building, to ease a potential cash flow squeeze as the company grapples with tighter credit and shrinking profits. …
Standard & Poor’s recently lowered its credit rating on the Times Company below investment grade, and Moody’s Investors Service has said it was considering a similar move. Times Company stock, which has lost more than half its value this year, closed on Friday at $7.64, down 30 cents.

Maybe it wasn't such a hot idea for the Gray Lady to build this massive moonbat temple as revenues were declining. But then, if the Times showed sound reasoning, it would print news instead of leftist propaganda, and wouldn't be losing its advertisers.

As the Gray Lady sinks, her ego climbs to the sky.

Van:

MSDNC/NBC has the same problem...

By making decisions to get in bed with the left and show only 1 side of the argument, the public has turned away in droves....

I wrote an article recently about the fairness of the media in the elections and MSNBC had 73% of its stories negative about McCain while only 14% of the stories were negative towards Barry!!!

On the flip side, FoxNews (who the libs claim is a Conservative Network) had the split amazingly even at 40% for McCain and 40% for Obama - That truly is fair and balanced...

Fox always has liberal voices on as well as conservatives, while MSLSD never has a conservative....

The public is smarter than they think and it is showing them the error of their ways - right in the wallet...

One also notes that the New York Times are big cheerleaders for the Obama New Deal.

The Obama economic team: Marxist university professors who've never held real jobs, bankrupt newspaper economists and the governor of the state with the worst economy in the country.

Years ago there was a submarine movie Gray Lady Down. They should remake it, this time make it about the NY Times sinking beneath the waves.

when are they just going to roll over and play dead?

Buying somebody a gift subscription to the New York Times would be much on the order of leaving a three day old fish in their mail box, catching and shaving their dog bald, or placing a burning bag of feces on their step and ringing the bell. In other words, it would be a stupid, foolish and irrespondsible act. It would put their name on a thousand liberal lists, identify them as moonbats, and make them so embarassed when their neighbors found out that they might be forced to sell their house and move.

Don't think they're going anywhere. Do you really think the Dems would allow one of their major propagandad centers to fail. It will be bought out by the government, and called "The people's paper of New york." Or something stupid like that.

LOL, nanc! (A thousand liberal lists...shudder).

snowsnake, you don't suppose New York State would buy it and do the same, do you? That would mean MY tax dollars. Would I get a say in what goes in it, then?

Karin

Would I get a say in what goes in it, then?

Only if you are an insane moonbat with no integrity, honor, or love for America. And I don't think that describes you.
