Liberal Denounces Parenthood, Calls for Extinction of Humanity
The Guardian recently published a piece showcasing the cutting edge political correctness of Guy Dammann, who denounces parenthood as "parentitis" and expresses sympathy for the notion of the human race volunteering for extinction.
Parentitis is the well known if scarcely documented condition that transforms polite, environmentally-aware, socially co-operative adults into pushy bigots who, when they're not making innumerable short journeys in their 4x4s, are to be found at home amassing toxic nappy mountains, cooing noisily over waste matter and £500 pushchairs.
The cure for parentitis has been discovered by the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, which calls for an end to having children on the grounds that they are harmful to the planet. Dammann is impressed:
[T]here is something magnificent about the thought of an entire species simply switching itself off, without violence or force of anything other than will, to make way for something more lasting. … But the absurdity lies not in the aim, which is in many ways laudable, but in the idea that the compassionate motivation in which it originates could possibly see the project through.
In less pretentious language: great idea, if only it could work.
The moonbats are right about one thing: it would be best for everyone if people who have degenerated to the level of thinking of children as a blemish on the planet refrained from reproducing.

The guy should get one of those bad writer awards they hand out every year.

By the way, it's always crazy white moonbats who are in favor of voluntary human extinction but you never hear them chiding the minority groups who have more kids per family than whites. Why is that?
