Johnny Taliban's Moonbat Mommy and Daddy Bleat for Pardon
Remember Johnny Taliban, the spoilt offspring of Marin County liberals who exemplified moonbattery by fighting with the Taliban against American troops? The lefties at La Times aren't the only ones who would like to see him free:
The parents of American-born Taliban fighter John Walker Lindh are asking President George W. Bush to set their son free before Bush leaves office next month. … At a news conference in San Francisco Wednesday, Lindh's mother, Marilyn Walker, asked the president to show mercy during the Christmas season by commuting her son's sentence.
Given the insanity into which our political system is disintegrating, Lindh is more likely to get a pardon than Jose Alonso Compean and Ignacio Ramos, the heroic border agents who were given draconian prison sentences for running a Mexican drug dealer back across the border with a well-earned lead souvenir in his bottom.

My favorite lefty multi-purpose argument, which they're probably making here, is "But he didn't mean it!" As if the deed were a legitimate accident, or the perpetrator is a child, or perhaps had "King's X" at the time.

I don't think Bush will pardon this one. He's too much of a symbol, and Bush does have tremendous credibility with the armed services. This would be a terrible legacy for a CIC.

I agree, pardon THEM for not raising the little snot to be an American.
Any wrong-doing Compean and Ramos may have done has been paid for. They should be freed with the full restoration of their rights and privleges as American citizens.
