Green Energy Bubble Bursting Already
Now I get why global warming hysteria has been going into overdrive lately, despite falling temperatures encasing the country in ice:
A slackening in the growth rate of fossil fuel consumption gave comfort to environmentalists in 2008, as recession began to grip global economies. But, in most respects, this year was awful for the green bandwagon, which came to a halt as debt and equity finance dried up.
Clean energy stocks crashed by two thirds. The chart of the WilderHill New Energy Global Innovation index resembles the Nasdaq Technology index in 2000.
The quality of management for projects has come into question, with analysts saying enthusiasm for a good cause has been getting in the way of operational efficiency.
Operational efficiency is hardly the strong suit of "green energy" proponents. They rely on hype, panic, and government coercion. Their main hope now is that Obama will impose draconian restrictions on efficient energy production. If a recession provides them with "comfort," the depression the Moonbat Messiah may cause in the name of the polar bears ought to put them in a state of pure bliss.
On a tip from Burning Hot.

Clear that the author does not know the difference between weather and climate.

Weather is just short-term localized climate, so they are the same. Accumulate enough weather and you have a climate. Notice that controls in your car are climate controls, not weather controls. Is this some sort of weak attack intended to discredit the author, or just one made to make yourself seem smarter than the author? Either way, it's a failure.

Even the mainstream media (albeit this was from Fox, but others are carrying the story) can't avoid the truth forever:

Hey, wake up dude! The whole environmental global warming is pushed by Marxist/Socialists, (once known as the Democratic Party) to create a crisis. Nothing provides opportunity for change ("we can believe in") as a huge manufactured crisis. Raham Emanuel and Saul Alinsky said so. See how the entire US financial system is now nationalized with one crisis, sparked by the Marxists social engineering scheme -- The Community Reinvestment Act of 1977.
Now the auto industry is soon to be nationalized and the type of cars we buy will be dictated to all Americans. Next health care (1/9 of the economy is soon to be nationalized), then energy. This leads me to my point.
Global warming is touted as a national crisis. The scientific data is pouring in, and it's overwhelmingly showing GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT MAN MADE! (To think we actually gave a Nobel Prize and Oscar to a raving lunatic for this fraudulent claim, perpetuating this junk science around the world.)
So to reduce the carbon footprint, the so called culprit, no clean coal energy, no oil drilling, no nuclear. Obama tells us to rely on conservation (and tire pressure) until we get windmills and solar power, the least reliable, most expensive, least efficient means of generating power. That's the national energy plan! Think about this, presently, wind and solar comprise a little over 1% of all the energy production in the country. Listen to how stupid this is, it's been estimated that to generate anything near to meeting the energy requirements of the country using wind, the shear number of windmills would change the weather patterns of the entire country! But it's not about energy efficiency, it's about government (Marxist/Democrats) power and control.
Do the math yourself. Then prepare for a huge crisis and government nationalization of energy, including oil. Especially oil, because in the end that's still the basic energy source after all the BS and "hope and change" slogans. Oil will be the energy source for a very long time. So welcome to Socialism and the end of prosperity. By the way, for those who don't know what Socialism is, it's important to look it up and know. You won't like it. No ever has in the history of the planet. But our uninformed "American Idol" voters wanted "Change We Can Believe In", and boy are we going to get it!
