Global Warming Hits Houston
As international bureauweenies meet in Poznan, Poland to plot ways to exploit the global warming hoax to rob us of our freedom, our standard of living, our national sovereignty, and our money, here's what's happening in normally balmy Houston:
Falling snowflakes glimmered in streetlights, so wide that they billowed to the ground like parachutes, and so tantalizing that even awestruck adults reached out their hands or stuck out their tongues to catch one.
By Wednesday evening, the flakes were big enough to hold their shape for a moment on the street before melting into the pavement, and a dusting had collected on parked cars in some parts of town.
The flurries tied a record for Houston's earliest snowfall ever and warmed the hearts of winter weather lovers who have pined for snow since it last made an appearance on Christmas Eve 2004. … Since 1895, records indicate, snow has fallen this early just once — on Dec. 10, 1944.
If they can sell us Barack Obama, maybe they can sell us global warming. But as temperatures keep falling, it isn't going to be easy. The "global warming causes global cooling" ploy doesn't pass the laugh test.

On a tip from Al C.

I hear global warming has now moved on to Louisiana ...
If the current solar trends continue, it will soon be so cold, that Al Gore will be the only person on planet Earth that doesn't think Al Gore is nuts.

I heard that whenever Al Gore makes one of those hand-wringing global warming speeches, it's always super chilly in the town where he's making his appearance. Don't tell me that God doesn't have a sense of humor.

I have lived in Houston for 23 years, and never in my life had I seen anything comparable with what happened last night.

On that note, the latest environmental disaster caused by global warming is... the coral reefs are vanishing. Courtesy of the Communist News Network, of course. I like particularly that they note that most of the losses are near third-world countries, where, coincidentally, they also practice dynamite fishing. I'm sure lighting dynamite and dropping it into the water has nothing to do with damage to the coral reefs. Nope. It's global "climate change" (ptooi).

BTW, global warming must be real. It got all the way up to 30 degrees in Milwaukee today. Thank God, just think how cold it would be without it.

Right on bill-tb. My niece in Baton Rouge reported snowfall. It was a giggle for them as they grew up in Minnesota.
CoderInCrises, don't forget they also use bleach bombs as well and several types of poison. None of that is healthy for the reefs. The other thing is that corals grew, prospered and came to us through CO2 levels a full order of magnitude higher as well as global temperatures at both ice-age values wa-a-a-y below today's and inter-glacial temperatures well above today's. They're still here. Imagine that. Gosh. Hardy little buggers... except when I drive my F150 pickup of course. That'll kill 'em for sure. </sarc>
