Congressman: Obama's Seat Must Be Filled by Black
As promised by Obamunists, the election of The One means we have now transcended race in politics. Or maybe not:
The race to replace Barack Obama as Illinois' junior senator heated up Tuesday as Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Ill., called on Gov. Rod Blagojevich to name a black man or woman to the seat.
By invoking race, Rush, who is black, drove a potential wedge between the prospective white and black contenders for the seat. Rush said it would be a "national disgrace" if Obama's seat were not filled by an African American.
Rush is a former Black Panther, who must be really feeling his oats about now.
Rather than transcending racism, we have plunged into it headlong by electing an unqualified candidate largely so that liberals can feel self-righteous about his skin color. Blacks will have ever more privileges showered down upon them in the short term, but even they will lose out eventually, because a backlash is inevitable. So much for judging by the content of character.

Yes, once you go black you can never go back, but it is OK to replace a white man with a black man.
