British Pub Owner Busted for Putting Up Newspaper Clippings
What's left of freedom of speech in politically correct Britain:
A pub landlord has been arrested on suspicion of committing a racially-aggravated public order offence because of newspaper clippings on the wall.
Peter Mailer was arrested after a complaint from a senior Notts Police officer who visited the Black Bull in Warkworth, Northumberland, while on holiday.
Mr Mailer, who admits he is an active supporter of the British National Party, was hauled into the nearby Alnwick Police Station. …
The 52-year-old said he was stunned to learn that the complaint had been made by the Notts officer. He said the officer had been in the pub with a friend and their wives. They chatted to him, but never mentioned the cuttings, which are mainly from national newspapers. Three days later, police arrested him and took everything off the walls.
Can we call it totalitarianism yet?

Just to make you aware, the story carried on This Is Nottingham has been cribbed from our exclusive published last Thursday.
They obviously got a wire/google alert on Nottingham linking to our site. They didn't have permission to use the copy.

I agree with Robert Brooks. The link he listed is a much better story. Maybe for the benefit of us Yankees we would still like to know what kinds of clippings he had posted.

If the clippings are an Offense then how is it the writer and publisher are not arrested????
I cry for (not so) Great Britain. I was there for three years on the 60's and loved every minute. I still love the Sci-Fi stuff that they make, but I doubt I'd visit again until a dose of sanity takes over.

England is damned.
That they allowed Sharia Law to have even a minor say in their lands was their second mistake.
Their first was allowing an alien religious population (muslims) in that will likely out compete them by fecundity alone.
Once a proud bastion of democracy and strength, England is now a nearly used up whore for the multiculturalism cult.
Maybe they will pull out of it, but I am not as hopeful as I once was. This story is just another nail in the coffin.
The UK is canary in a proverbial mineshaft if ever their was one...
