Spooky

The Evening Pick 3 numbers for the Illinois Lottery on the day after the election were 6-6-6. The Devil has all the luck lately.

Did you read the news post on FOX (I think) where someone is saying/predicting the next Pope will be black?

Hey - I'm not saying... I'm just saying... I've read the Book of Revelation BUNCHES of times...

I'm not saying... But it is interesting to contemplate...

Now - I'm certain some libTroll will jump ALL over this... But I'm just supplying food for thought. I don't want the libTrolls burning my house in the name of tolerance... I'm just saying...

Ah, never mind - I opened my mouth, I'm conservative, I'm bound for a deathcamp under Heir Yomama. Come and get me. (But be prepared to lose at least four at the door.)

So now your a rigorous nutjob too?

Posted by: Mrethiopian at November 6, 2008 11:49 PM

I think this is an omen. Better get ready for Jesus. Seriously, get ready.

Posted by: Patrick at November 7, 2008 3:51 AM

Mrethiopian, you call us stupid on other threads, yet you can't even spell "Religious."
Yes, there are many Christians on this board. We're not perfect, but who is?

Devil-shmevil... he's just a fund-raising tool for the earthly underwriters of Hay Zeus.
Boo!

You want to see the devil, I'll upload a picture of my mother in law.

Another weird coincidence: My online-banking at my bank requires a 4-letter code in lieu of a PIN number that randomly scrambles every time you log on. Today the letters were VdaK

jimbo - OFF TO THE GULAG WITH YOU!

me, i want a room that faces south for the best exposure...

A few months back I was walking past a local church that was having brickwork done and there was a boom lift (JLG 600A, orange) out in front. Serial Number 666. I wonder if the people going to that church got the creeps? Then the job finished up and it was gone. Then as I was going into work I noticed a school about, 10 miles from the church, was being painted. Out in front was the very same boom lift, serial number 666.

V the K, has it occurred to you that the VdaK is a sign from the socialist/leftist/fascist conspiracy that they're watching you? That they monitor these posts and your bank account through their control of the worldwide computer network via Russia and they're saying, "We know who you are." lol.

I have been reading these post and comments for more than a year and have thought racist, fascist, conspiracy theorist, rightist, survivalist and about a half-dozen other "ists" but realize that that isn't accurate. What appears here is mostly just plain old garden variety stupid. There may be a few PhDs among you, some Masters in something or other and ordinary hard-working people, but by and large it's mostly just dumb-as-a-fencepost, couldn't-find-your-own-ass-with-two-hands-and-a-map stuff.

I'll give you this though — it's very entertaining. I just thank God there's only a few of you, judging by the frequent repetitions of the same posters.

Jimbo: The next Pope will be "Peter the Roman".
He'll be the last one.

Pope Benedict, "For the Glory of the Olives" - the Benedictine Monks use an olive as their symbol.

Should this scare anyone? Only non-Christians.

Watch the skies, my friends.

Jimbo I'm disappointed in you. Only four?? I would imagine four going down with the first burst. You know, they have slugs that will make it through walls and doors at a high enough velocity to wreck whoever's on the other side. 7.62mm and 5.56mm rounds will do the same. ;)

Posted by: cowlove at November 7, 2008 7:49 AM

wayne you've been lurking for over a year and the best you can come up with is, "you guys are super stupid." Pathetic.

Posted by: cowlove at November 7, 2008 8:01 AM

Actually, cowlove, I didn't say "super" stupid, I said plain old garden variety stupid ... as in the standard "socialist, Leni Riefenstahl, Nazi, wailing and knashing of teeth" stuff. "Super" stupid would be creative and new. Which you're not.

Posted by: waynewrite at November 7, 2008 8:16 AM

Now it's stupid to identify a socialist as a socialist? I'm confused. Or am I just stupid? I can't tell anymore. Gosh I wish you had just stayed a lurker. Now I can't compete with your flowery rhetoric and nuanced arguments.

Posted by: cowlove at November 7, 2008 8:46 AM

Upon review we should also have a look at your grammar and spelling. We are talking about intelligence here right? What better way to express your superior intelligence than through superior grammar and spelling?

Your first "sentence" is a combination of three sentences into one, big jumbled mess of nonsense connected by random commas and periods. I'm also unfamiliar with the word "knashing." Enlighten me.

You end with a fragment. This would've been a prime spot for a comma. I know, I know. I'm being a grammar Nazi. However, when you profess to enjoy lurking here reading about all of us, "plain old garden variety stupid" folks, you better have all your ducks in a row when hurling less-than-intelligent insults. It makes you look, well, stupid. Ya know?

Posted by: cowlove at November 7, 2008 8:55 AM

No more, cowlove, than it is to call an alarmist an alarmist, or an extremist an extremist, no matter which extreme end they come from. But socialism is a fairly strictly defined political ideology, and I don't see that in the U.S., Obama or no Obama. Too many checks and balances. The people speak (as in Prop. 8), and in the U.S. they speak loudly and clearly, thank God.

When my son was little he believed that the bogeyman was going to come and get him and take all that he loved away. He's 14 now and doesn't believe in the bogeyman anymore. Maybe it's time some of you guys stopped believing in the bogeyman.

Posted by: waynewrite at November 7, 2008 9:12 AM

If your son had evidence of a bogeyman living in his closet then you may have made some marginal point with your analogy. He stopped believing in him, however, because as he grew up he realized there was no reason to believe in such a thing.

I wish the same were true for Obama's socialist desires. I wish that we were making things up. Unfortunately for all of us, he's been very clear about his desire to "spread the wealth." I don't need to make anything up. I just need to quote him.

Posted by: cowlove at November 7, 2008 9:17 AM

The point is that for a child there's ALWAYS evidence of a bogeyman. It's as we grow up that we learn to interpret that same evidence differently.

Obama will have to deal with all that every other pres. has had to deal with — lobbyists, businessmen, bankers, the stock market, as well as unions and special interest groups, Congress or no Congress, Senate or no Senate. Democrats own businesses too, and run corporations, and own guns, and have money they want to keep.

Posted by: waynewrite at November 7, 2008 9:40 AM

Democrats, per se, aren't the problem. I've voted for many democrats over my last 35 years of voting.

Socialist LIBERALS are the problem.

Posted by: Jimbo at November 7, 2008 10:52 AM

Waynewrite, you mention "checks and balances"... such as....??? The Senate Filibuster? That's the only one I think might stand, unless the kook-wing of the Dems decides to change the filibuster rule. I doubt they will, since it's they're only "out" when they try to pass known garbage as legislation.

SCOTUS? Interesting. Thanks to previous incarnations (courtesy of the likes of FDR), it's generally accepted that the Constitution no longer means what it says; it means what the Supreme Court says it says, and if Obama packs the court with leftist radicals (rubber-stamped by his Senate majority), the Second Amendment might as well say, "There being a need for a well-emulsified fish sauce, the cost of the rubber-band shall not be gravy".
