Sarah Palin Accused of Inspiring Death Threats Against Moonbat Messiah

We are now asked to believe that Sarah Palin's daring to mention that Obama has long associated with terrorists (Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Rashid Khalidi, who knows who else) has inspired death threats against the Moonbat Messiah. Under a headline screaming "Sarah Palin Blamed by the US Secret Service Over Death Threats Against Barack Obama ," Britain's Telegraph unleashes a blast of hyperbolic propaganda:

The Republican vice presidential candidate attracted criticism for accusing Mr Obama of "palling around with terrorists", citing his association with the sixties radical William Ayers.
The attacks provoked a near lynch mob atmosphere at her rallies, with supporters yelling "terrorist" and "kill him" until the McCain campaign ordered her to tone down the rhetoric.
But it has now emerged that her demagogic tone may have unintentionally encouraged white supremacists to go even further.
The Secret Service warned the Obama family in mid October that they had seen a dramatic increase in the number of threats against the Democratic candidate, coinciding with Mrs Palin's attacks.

The report that someone was inspired by Sarah Palin to yell "Kill him!" at a rally has been revealed to be a lie by that same Secret Service. But truth isn't the point; this is:

The revelations, contained in a Newsweek history of the campaign, are likely to further damage Mrs Palin's credentials as a future presidential candidate. She is already a frontrunner, with Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, to take on Mr Obama in four years time.

The media campaign to destroy any potential challengers to Obama's reelection has already begun.

On a tip from Byron.

Sarah Palin is my hero! She don't know nuthin' bout nuthin but she's got all her teeth!

Ya know, Andrew Sullivan hasn't denounced this so that means he wholeheartedly agrees with it.

Posted by: RNC at November 9, 2008 11:56 AM

Uh huh, the Secret Service must be lying because you obviously know more about it than they do. Yeah, no wonder you're a Sarah cultist, because compared to you, she doesn't look QUITE as stupid?

Posted by: icarus at November 9, 2008 12:03 PM

"Sarah cultist"

LOL!!! The obama-worshippers ARE a silly bunch of glazed-eyed little bitches, aren't they!

Let's see - I'm trying to remember some of the worship-songs written for Sarah... and I can't think of a single one! Where as YouTube is FULL of the nutty liberals' obama-worship songs.

Tell us some more, icarus. We need more good laughs, fool! LOL!

Sixties radical William Ayers? I was a sixties radical. Ayers and his squeeze, Bernadine were murderers.

Ah, but the British elites hate our guts here in America. Why should we expect anything different.

The Palin-Hate is something to behold. I wonder how she held back on mentioning all the Obama-material for so long, there is so much to sift through.
She didn't say ANYTHING that isn't true.....

The chatrooms are full of idiots screaming for her head.
Of course, they all voted for THE ONE

You just know tears of betrayal are on the horizon......

Posted by: Antara at November 9, 2008 12:20 PM

Sarah Palin is too simple minded. She should have known better than to accept the job offer. SHE put the country at great risk because of her own personal gain in all of it, the Vice Presidency. Sorry people, you should blame her and yourselves for supporting her. She destroyed an already crumbling party. Plus she's just too stupid, she didn't know what the Vice President's job is and still didn't during the election. I really wouldn't put it past her to not know the countries involved in NAFTA. lol
She looks great and that's about it, no substance.

Posted by: Michael Scott at November 9, 2008 12:44 PM

These news-dolts never cease to amaze me. Do they ever venture out of their comfy little cocoons and look at anything besides the AP wire? Millions of us have been reading about the Ayers-Oblabla connection over the Internet throughout the campaign. It didn't take Palin's mention of it to get people concerned. It's something that McCain should have started hammering on a year ago.

Posted by: ent at November 9, 2008 1:03 PM

Michael,

Cite your source you liberal tool. Show me one instance where Sarah Palin was incorrect about the job and duties of Vice President.

You must be thinking of Joe Biden.

The Vice-President holds positions in both the executive and legislative branches. Biden referred to Article II when he meant to refer to Article I.

And he laid out Vice-President's role in the Senate incorrectly. The Constitution is clear that, "The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided."

Maybe you should read something besides the N.Y. Times.

It's hardly Gov. Plain's fault that Obama's judgment is poor and that he chooses people who hate this country to be his allies. At least somebody tried to warn the swooning populace before he was voted in.

Now we get to see this armed, rolling convoy everywhere he goes. Luckily it's doubtful he'll come back to my state - too red for his tastes.

Posted by: JR at November 9, 2008 1:07 PM

I am willing to bet Palin was smart enough to know that FDR wasn't president in 1929 and definitely did not go on television to comfort Americans after the Stock Market crash.

The problem with the left is that most of them are too stupid to even realize how truly stupid and ignorant they are.

But, at the end of the day, Sarah Palin is still Governor of Alaska. Sarah Palin can still draw crowds of 60,000 people. Sarah Palin still has a beautiful family. And Michael Scott and Icarus are still pathetic trolls left to shoot spitwads at people who have accomplished more in life than they ever will.

Posted by: V the K at November 9, 2008 1:30 PM

She looks great and that's about it, no substance.

Good point. She should have run with Obama, who also looks great and has no substance, never having accomplished anything - anything - in his life. He's always been a moving target, moving from job to job checking off boxes, never lighting long enough on any one job to accomplish something. The Presidency will be first job he's ever had that he can't use as a stepping stone to another job. He'll have to actually stick to this one for a while. I bet his sphincter puckers at the very notion.

Just a quick reminder here that the distressing bilge emanating from the British press doesn't actually represent the views of all of us Brits. Europeans. Former Brits. Whatever.

Why the so-called-conservative establishment all decided to become Conservatives For Hopechange, I don't know, although it seems to be some kind of sheer spite. The hatred of Palin is of course pure untrammelled elitism, which ought to be an indication of why she is such an asset. The elites are terrified of people from beyond their class gaining power.

The battle in my view, for all of us in the western world (welcome to the New Labour club, America) is not so much between nebulously defined socialism and conservatism, as between people and the elites. Because that is all that socialism, this progressive socialism we are actually dealing with, is. A belief among the intellectual, political and business elites that they have the right and obligation to rule, because they despise the rest of us as knuckle-dragging untermenschen. Nothing could have shown that more clearly than the naked ferocity of the attack on Palin as a "hick", a "hillbilly", a "redneck".

People are waking up, I think, to the recognition here in Blighty that organised conservatism- the conservative establishment- are no use to us. If liberty is to be revived and saved, we need to recognise new battle lines. In the USA, Sarah Palin was and is a good start.

"The attacks provoked a near lynch mob atmosphere at her rallies, with SUPPORTERS yelling "terrorist" and "kill him" "

As I recall, it was one guy who said "kill him", and Palin wasn't even there when he said it.

PS:Chicago is creepy. They got Obama's "Hope" picture hanging from lightpoles and stuff. Freaky stuff. I'm glad my dad doesn't have to commute there anymore. It'd drive him nuts.

I know the left have always HATED TRUTH and FACT but to perceive them as "death threats" take some really sick brainless people. Ayres and Dorn were America hating pieces of shit (Hmmmmm fits right in with the liberals). The patients have literally taken over the democratic asylum.

Posted by: TED at November 9, 2008 3:10 PM

Good point, Ian. I'd really like to know if Palin is as stupid as she's being made out to be, or whether this is just a smear job by the communists who are afraid of her running in 2012. It's hard to say when it's painfully apparent that the media suffer from a galloping leftwing infestation.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at November 9, 2008 3:34 PM

No, Sarah Palin is that stupid.

Joe Biden does stick his foot in his mouth and he may be stupid but that doesn't make Palin any smarter, does it?

"If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media." Sarah Palin, getting First Amendment rights backwards while suggesting that criticism of her is unconstitutional.

"I'm the mayor, I can do whatever I want until the courts tell me I can't.'" --Sarah Palin, as quoted by former City Council Member Nick Carney, after he raised objections about the $50,000 she spent renovating the mayor's office without approval of the city council.

"[T]hey're in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom." --Sarah Palin, getting the vice president's constitutional role wrong after being asked by a third grader what the vice president does.

"We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. ... We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation." --Sarah Palin, speaking at a fundraiser in Greensoboro, N.C., Oct. 16, 2008.

That last one was the final nail in the coffin of the McCain campaign because, unfortunately for John, 80% of the population of the US live in cities and suburbs. That's where the voters are.

So, Sarah Palin? Thanks but no thanks for THAT bridge to nowhere.

Posted by: Anonymous at November 9, 2008 4:34 PM

Let's see, refute the idiotic assertions of a cowardly, lying, anonymous troll, or get back to work? Well, let me keep it simple.

1. Poorly phrased, but not inaccurate.
2. No proof that she said it.
3. She was simplifying things to answer a third grader who had asked the question.
4. Nothing I disagree with. Most of our major cities are hellholes, and the ones run by one party Democrat hegemony ... Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, Newark, Philadelphia, Chicago... are the worst of the worst.

Posted by: V the K at November 9, 2008 4:45 PM

The first comment IS ABSOLUTELY inaccurate. It's backwards. The first amendment prohibits [among other things]laws that infringe the freedom of speech and laws that infringe the freedom of the press.

LAWS

So, she is free to blab away and the press is free to criticize.

Number 2, it's on the record.

Number 3, WRONG! You don't simplify by giving the wrong answer.

And number 4, you may not like the cities but if you are running and you want to win you better not alienate them. Stupid is as stupid does.

Posted by: Anonymous at November 9, 2008 4:58 PM

For the cognitively challenged, the reference to the First Amendment in the first Palin quote refers to her right to criticize Obama or future leaders.

Her point, and I'll try not to use big words here, was that if the media sufficiently demonize Obama critics they may eventually persuade voters to enact measures that will curtail freedom of speech - as in, e.g., Canada and Europe, where criticism of Muslims is labeled as hate speech.

She made a perfectly valid point. She wasn't suggesting at all that criticism of her was unconstitutional, but rather that when the media are uniformly and totally in the bag for one candidate/party that a) they are not doing their investigative jobs, and b) they may induce the electorate to suppress viewpoints that do not coincide with theirs.

Ask yourself this question: what do you know about Obama's days at Columbia, when he and Ayers both worked in the anti-apartheid movement, and they lived three blocks apart? Answer: nothing. No one does. No one has asked those questions. But we know all about Palin's wardrobe, and her husbands DUI 22 years ago. Isn't the naked partisanship of the media a little...troubling?

I won't bother with the rest of your post, except to note that Obama voted for the Bridge to Nowhere.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at November 9, 2008 5:01 PM

What is the real nightmare for the Wizard of Ooze is that Hispanics will figure out that screaming racist at everything works. (It got him the White House, didn't it?) So why can't it work for Hispanics? If every program in his administration that doesn't favor them is met with protest marches, mass demonstrations, wild and crazy accusation to the media and statements that Blacks are against Hispanics, we could be in for some real entertainment.

And as Ooze will quickly find out, there isn't a thing you can do against real and false allegations of racism. As in just about everything--there will be enough truth in it to get the fires going and even have some real flames here and there. And if it works for Hispanics, then why not Jews, American Indians, Samoans, and Inuits? Eventually, when you meet somebody on the sidewalk instead of saying, "Good Morning," the traditional response will be to point at the bridge of their nose and scream, "Racist."

Posted by: SnowSnake at November 9, 2008 5:05 PM

WRONG

Remember way back when the left was criticizing the Iraq war and the right said the protesters were committing treason for saying it in public - comfort to the enemy and all that? So, by your argument, "and I'll try not to use big words here, if the media sufficiently demonize protesters they may eventually persuade voters to enact measures that will curtail freedom of speech".

I didn't hear you grousing then. [Oh, sorry, I used a big word.]

Posted by: Anonymous at November 9, 2008 5:10 PM

So, she is free to blab away and the press is free to criticize.

You've missed the point. Her point was that when the media are this unbalanced they could potentially mobilize the electorate to support "hate speech" legislation, where "hate speech" would be defined as criticizing the Dear Leader. Criticize Islam in Canada (as Mark Steyn) did, and you'll be facing the Human Rights Commission - as he did. That was her point.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at November 9, 2008 5:14 PM

Well I see my fellow conservatives handily took care of the leftard business here, but what of McCain's camp and their attacks on Palin? Why hasn't McCain come to her defense? He's the one who asked her to serve, not vice versa. The only truly stupid thing Palin did was to accept "son of Cain's" invitation. He's a loser, he was the wrong choice for the GOP candidate and his silence on the matter only proves he was the wrong man all along. If McCain has come forward to say anything on this I'd love to see it.

Posted by: fellowes at November 9, 2008 5:16 PM

Why hasn't McCain come to her defense?

Because McCain is a prick and he has always been a prick.

It's more interesting how the left is still obsessed with Sarah Palin. It's obvious they are terrified of her. Jealous, too. I mean she has a great family, and she has accomplished much. While all these poor little cowardly trolls can do is post anonymous little snits about her.

Posted by: V the K at November 9, 2008 5:23 PM

Remember way back when the left was criticizing the Iraq war and the right said the protesters were committing treason for saying it in public - comfort to the enemy and all that?

It wasn't the criticism of the war that led to that charge, but rather such sentiments as supporting the Iraqi "resistance" and characterizing the troops as murderous raping thugs - when they knew it wasn't true.

Here’s the kind of stuff that led to the treason charge.

A few choice signs:

"If we support our troops, aren't we supporting the terrorist(s)?"

"US military bases are terrorist training camps"

"Drive the imperialists out of Iraq"

"I (heart) Iran"

These sound treasonous to me. Or are you OK with these sentiments?

You ALL miss the point. Palin or any other conservative will be endlessly destroyed by the Obama-media. They will never allow another conservative voice to be heard, so the quicker then can smear any possible right-wing contender for 2012 the better.

The media is giddy with power now. They've attached themselves to Obama and work exclusively for him now. They feel like they won the election for this guy and are beyond reproach.

The hate will only get worse now. I personally have had enough. If anyone starts in on Obama-worship in front of me, they're going to be in for an unpleasant surprise: I did not drink the Kook Aid.

I will say what I think.

I will never worship the beast.

I will never surrender to tyranny or socialism.

Some speech is already illegal in this country for example incitement to riot and defamation. But "hate speech" specifically refers to a public act that encourages or incites others to hate people because of their race, gender, nationality, country of origin, religion, color or ethnic origin. You can't say things like "All Muslims must die. We need to round them up and kill them." Ann Coulter came close which is why the National Review Online fired her.
