Prop 8 Tantrums and Respect for Democracy
Militant homosexuals don't seem willing to wait for moonbat judges to overrule the will of the people. Chuck Norris summarizes their response to the passage of a ban on the tasteless travesty of homosexual marriage:
Protestors of Proposition 8 in California (the marriage amendment) shoved aside a 69-year-old woman who was bearing a cross. They reportedly spit on her and stomped on her cross. They then aligned themselves in a human barricade, blocking the media from getting to or interviewing the woman.
Prop. 8 supporter Jose Nunez, 37, was assaulted brutally while distributing yard signs to other supporters after church services at the St. Stanislaus Parish in Modesto.
Calvary Chapel Chino Hills was spray painted by vandals after they learned that the church served as an official collection point for Prop. 8 petitions.
Letters containing white powder (obviously mimicking anthrax) were sent to the Salt Lake City headquarters of the Mormon church and to a temple in Los Angeles. (Thankfully, the FBI said the substance was nontoxic.)
The 25-year artistic director of the California Musical Theatre, who also happens to be a Mormon, was muscled to resign because of his $1,000 donation to the campaign to ban gay marriage in California.
A pro-homosexual, pro-anarchy organization named Bash Back marched into the middle of a church service and flung fliers and condoms to the congregants. They also hung a banner from the balcony that featured two lesbians in provocative positions at the pulpit.
And lastly, the tolerance-preaching activists also have taken their anger to the blogosphere, where posts have planted ideas ranging from burning churches to storming the citadels of government until our society is forced to overturn Prop. 8.
Rather than throw tantrums, conservatives distraught over the catastrophic presidential election are buckling up for a rough ride and making plans to drive the RINO mediocrities out of the Republican Party so that we can field more electable candidates in the future. This is in part because conservatives tend to be grownups, whereas liberals live in perpetual adolescence. But it is also because one of the main things conservatives want to conserve is the democratic process that allows the people to exert control over the government.
As evidenced by the rampant voter fraud on behalf of Obama and the reaction by liberals to not getting their way on Prop 8, this respect for democracy as an end in itself is not shared by the left.

On a tip from Murff.

Are there no armed conservatives in California?
I can only imagine what would happen to a bunch of angry perverts who surrounded my car and threatened me. How ridiculous that they're carrying on like this, crying over a democratic vote in a democratic country.
Posted by: cowlove at November 21, 2008 10:56 AM
There are armed conservatives in CA (at least there were when I left 13 years ago). Problem is, it's a crime to carry a loaded firearm in your vehicle. While concealed permits are available, they're issued by the local Sherriff. If he's a moonbat (or just a dick), guess what Mr. Law-Abiding Citizen? You ain't gettin' one.
Depends on which county you live in whether you're free or not.
Posted by: hiram at November 21, 2008 11:18 AM
Their just hurting their cause by acting like angry freaks. The voters spoke and they feel discriminated against? What ever. marriage is between a man and a woman and that just how it is. The homos need should stop this shit. They just move in together and pretend to be married.

Drought, the worlds highest income taxes, the worlds most expensive real estate, earthquakes, fires, no smoking in public, smog, mudslides, wind storms, hollywierd, brownouts, water shortages, flooding, all the penalties the green earth society can put on people, intollerance, pestilence, greed, violence, worlds highest insurance, finatical liberal moonbats on every corner.
Welcome to California!! the golden state. Have a nice day. Pick that up.
When will this place finally drop into the sea? Have I missed anything?

They want MORE rights than the rest of the populace. They already can marry a woman. Just like me. I did, (probably will again.) If these dorks came into my church and disrupted the service They'ed be glad its right next to the hospital because my pastor goes into hard neighborhoods after services and "carries".

How the heck did that happen, two-faced Democratic Party Voters?
Posted by: Oiao at November 21, 2008 11:49 AM
Nah, Eric, there isn't.
See we had us a little war well nigh on 150 years ago 'bout this very same thing. Kinda settled the matter.
I also find it interesting looking at the historical record... didja know that after the War Between the States (yankees call it the "Civil War"), there wasn't a single prosecution of those who were in 'rebellion'? Not one. A lot of noise was made about "healing" and "not dragging out the past", but only AFTER the ones clamoring for trials realized that they would lose in court... since the war was unjust and illegal.
If the South had won, y'all might have somewhere left to flee to...

This is a repost of some comments I made on this topic before:
Scripture should never be studied in isolation from the rest of the Bible. Compare scripture to scripture and you will find consistent treatment of homosexuality throughout the Bible.
Practicing homosexuality is an abomination to God.
Only by twisting a single passage or making unsupportable stretches of logic can you conclude that Jesus thought practicing homosexuality is acceptable.
Those claiming Jesus never had anything to say about homosexuality always omit his repeated references to Sodom and Gomorrah as examples of what awaits those who do not repent. Matthew 10:15, Matthew 11:23-24, Luke 10:12, Luke 17:29.
The apostle Peter, who no doubt heard Jesus' teaching, says virtually the same thing in one of his epistles. 2 Peter 2:5-7
And no, Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed for the sin of "inhospitality." Everyone in Jesus' time knew what Sodom and Gomorrah were about:
". . .Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire." Jude 1:7
BTW, I don't hate homosexuals but I will not exculpate its sinfulness or danger to the public well being; both cultural, economical, biological, etc.
Remember hate the sin, not the sinner.
The liberal 'Christian' obsession on whitewashing Jesus Christ's teachings is saddening.

Yet another liberal troll who thinks that the Word of God is 'hateful'.
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; they put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
Unlike militant Muslims, Christians are not going to harm anyone.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. -- Proverbs 3:5-6
Hopefully, you will come to embrace the word of the Lord before you find yourself before him.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Mike,
You have a free will - so give up sex and intimacy. Do it.
People are BORN with an homosexual sexual orientation. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with free will. Sexual behavior does - so give it up.
And then come back and rant about gays.

Your argument is specious nonsense. Please do not try to make reality contort to fit your sad views.
Again, you have a choice in this. If you choose sin and perversion over godliness, then I do pity you.
You will be in my prayers.

Science Shows That Homosexuals Are Not "Born That Way."
December 13, 2004
Posted on Monday, December 13, 2004 12:51:59 PM by Laissez-faire capitalist
1.)Dr. Dean Hamer who failed to find a "gay gene":
"Homosexuality is not purely genetic. Environmental factors play a role. There is not a single master gene that makes people gay. I don't think that we will ever be able to predict who will be gay."
2.) Dr. Dean Hamer was asked by Scientific American if homosexuality was rooted solely in biology. He replied:
"Absolutely not. From twin studies we already know that half or more of the variability in sexual orientation is not inherited. Our studies try to pinpoint the genetic factors, not negate the psychosocial factors."
("New Evidence of a "Gay Gene," by Anastasia Toufexis, Time, November 13, 1995, Vol. 146. Issue 20, p.95)
3.) British researchers generated comparable results in an identical-twin study. Their conclusion? The suprisingly low odds that both twins were homosexual.
The study by them: "confirmed that genetic factors are insufficient explanation for the development of sexual orientation."
(King, M and McDonald, E. Homosexuals Who Are Twins: A Study of 46 Probands. British Journal of Psychiatry. 160: 407-409 (1992).
4a.)Homosexual researcher Simon Levay, who studied the hypothalamic differences between the brains of heterosexuals and homosexuals:
"I didn't show that gay men are born that way the msot common mistake people make in interpreting my work. Nor did I locate a gay center in the brain."
4b.)Dr. Simon Levay: The most widely held opinion [on causation of homosexuality] is that multiple factors play a role.
Levay, Simon (1996). Queer Science, MIT Press.
5.) Dr. J. Satinover:
"Research studies on homosexuality by Dr's Dean Hamer, Michael Bailey, Richard Dillard, Simon Levay. Laura Allen and Roger Gorski have failed to show proof of a gay gene. There is no scientific evidence that shows that homosexuality is genetic. The media has sensationalized and perpetuated the myth of a homosexual gene."
Satinover, J. M.D. (1996) Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth. Grand Rapids. Baker Books
6.) Another of Dr. Jeffery Satinover's conclusions in "The Gay Gene":
"There is no evidence that shows that homosexuality is genetic--and none of the resaerch itself claims there is. Only the press and certain researchers do when speaking in sound bites to the public."
(Jeffery Satinover, M.D. The Journal of Human Sexuality, 1996, p.8)
7.) The American Psychological Association:
"Many scientists share the view that sexual orientation is shaped for many people at an early age through complex interactions of biology, psychological and social factors."
(The American Psychological Association's pamphlet "Answers to Your Questions About Sexual Orientation and Homosexuality."
8.) The American Psychiatric Association (2000):
"no replicated scientific studies showing any specific biological etiology for homosexuality."
9.) Sociologist Steven Goldberg:
"I know of no one in the field who argues that homosexuality can be explained without reference to environmental factors."
(Goldberg, Steven (1994) When Wish Replaces Thought: Why So Much of What You Believe is False. Buffalo, New York: Prometheus Books.
10a.) Science, 1994:
"Time and time again, scientists have claimed that particular genes or chromosomal regions are associated with behavioral traits only to withdraw their findings when they were not replicated. "Unfortunately," says Yale's [Dr. Joel] Gelernter: "It's hard to come up with many findings linking specific genes to complex human behaviors that have been replicated...all were announced with great fanfare, all were greeted unskeptically in the popular press; all are now in disrepute."
(Mann, C. "Genes and Behavior." Science 264: 1687 (1994), pp. 1686-1689.)
10b.) "The interactions of genes and environment is much more complex than the simple "violence genes" and "intelligence genes" touted in the popular press."
Mann, C. op. cit. pp. 1686-1689
11.) Two genetics researchers, one at Harvard, commented in Technology Review, July 1993 p. 60 concerning twin study's.
"While the authors interpreted their findings as evidence for a genetic basis for homosexuality, we think that the data, in fact, provide strong evidence for the influence of the environment."
(Billings, P. and Beckwith, J. Technology Review, July 1993. p.60)
12.) P. Scott Richards:
"Some environmental and psychological factors that may play a causal role in the development of homosexuality include: (1) cross-gender effiminate behavior in childhood. (2) gender-identity deficits (3) hostile, dteached or absent fathers (which leads to "defensive detachment" from the father and other males) and (4) overly close, controlling or dominating mothers.
(P. Scott Richards, "The Treatment of Homosexuality: Some Historical, Contemporary and Personal Perspectives," AMCAP Journal. Vol 19, No. 1, 1993, pg. 36)
13.) Lesbian biologist Dr. Anne Fausto-Sterling of Brown University, responding to the "born that way" argument:
"It provides a legal argument that is, at the moment actually having some sawy in court. For me, it's a very shaky palce. It's bad science and bad politics. It seems to me that the way we consider homosexuality in our culture is an ethical and a moral one."
14.) Camille Paglia, lesbiam activist: "Homosexuality is 'not normal'. On the contrary it is a challenge to the norm. Nature exists whether academics like it or not. And in nature, procreation is the single, relentless rule. That is the norm. Our sexual bodies were designed for reproduction. No one is born gay. The idea is ridiculous. Homosexuality is an adaptation, not an inborn trait."
Camille Paglia: " Is the gay identity so fragile that it cannot bear the thought that some people may not wish to be gay? Sexuality is highly fluid, and reversals are theoretically possible. However, habit is highly refractory, and once the sensory pathways have been blazed -- a phenmenon obvious in the struggle with obesity, smoking, alcoholism or drug addiction...helping to learn how to function heterosexually, if they wish, is a perferctly worthy aim."
Camille Paglia: " We should be honest enough to consider whether homosexuality may not indeed be a pausing at the prepubscent stage where children anxiously band together bt gender...current gay cant insists that homosexuality is 'not a choice'; that no one would choose to be gay in a homophobic society. But there is an element of choice in all behavior, sexual or otherwise. It takes an effort to deal with the opposite sex; it is safer to deal with your own kind. The issue is one of challenge versus comfort."
Boys victimized by older men are far more likely to be homosexual as adults, and the cycle often repeats itself. More environmental factors.
15.) Noted child sex-abuse expert David Finkelhor found that "boys victimized by older men were over four times more likley to be currently engaged in homosexual activity than were non-victims. The finding applied to nearly half the boys who had such an experience. Further, the adolescents themselves often linked their homosexuality to their victimization experiences."
(Bill Watkins & Aaron Bentovim, "The Sexual Bause of Male Adolescents: A Review of Current Research, " Journal of Child Psychiatry 33, (1992); in Byren Finkelman, Sexual Abuse(New York: Garland Publishing, 1995), p. 316
16.) The Archives of Sexual Behavior:
"One of the most salient findings of this study is that 46% of homosexual men and 22% of homosexual women reported having been molested by a person of the same gender."
(Marie, E. Tomeo "Comparative Data of Childhood and Adolescent Molestation in Heterosexual and Homosexual Persons." Archives of Sexual Behavior 30 (2001): 539)
17.) A study of 279 homosexual and bisexual men with Aids and control patients reported:
"More than half of both case and control patients reported a sexual act with a male by age 16 years, approximately 20% by age 10 years."
(Harry W. Haverkos, "The Initiation of Male Homosexual Behavior," The Journal of the American Medical Association 262 (July 28, 1989): 501)
18.) A stduy of 229 convicted child molesters found that:
"86% of offenders against males described themselves as homosexual or bisexual."
(W.D. Erickson, Behavior Patterns of Child Molesters, Archives of Sexual Behavior 17 (1988): 83)
19.) A National Institue of Justice report states that:
"the odds that a childhood sexual abuse victim will be arrested as an adult for any sex crime is 4.7 times higher than for people...who experienced no victimization as children."
(Cathy Spatz Widom, "Victims of Childhood Sexual Abuse - Later Criminal Consequences, Victims of Childhood Sexual Abuse Series: NIJ Research in Brief (March 1995): 6)
20.) A Child Abuse and Neglect study found that 59% of male child sex offenders had beenvictims of contact sexual abuse as a child.
(Michelle Elliott, "Child Sexual Abuse Prevention: What offenders Tell Us" Child Abuse and Neglect 19, (1995): 582)

"how and a Christian theocracy is different than an Islamic theocracy"
Here are three differences between a Christian society and an Islamic society:
In a Christian society,
1. Gays do not have to fear being executed for their orientation. In Muslim theocracies such as Iran, the favored way of dealing with homosexuals is to have them buried in sand up to about their chests, then executed by stoning.
2. Women don't run the risk of beating or execution for refusing to wear a veil over their faces.
3. Courts punish rapists, rather than punishing the women who were raped, which is the custom in areas under sharia law.

If there was a "gay gene" perhaps one day science will create a "gay test" so that pregnant women could test if their child will be homosexual. Then abortions, and council could then be arranged if need be.
