A note on Dino posts:
The exceptionally obnoxious troll Dino has been banned, but he has been putting up comments by masking his IP address. Since I don't want to put treasured Moonbattery readers through the hassle of registering or waiting for comment moderation, I'm going through and deleting the Dino posts as I find them.

Good policy!
Making sure that brainless, hateful twit is able to annoy us as little as possible, yet doing so in a way that won't inconvenience the rest of us. Nice job.

Nice work Van Helsing. Dino did teach all one thing. He/She/It showed us the true colors of the angry radical left and what their intentions are and will be. Take down our great nation and turn it into a nanny state.

I guess we all know that Hillary Clinton is going to be our Secretary of State. I can see it now,"hey Osama lets sit down...have a nice chat" Oh boy this is truly a let down. I don't think the world is going to take her seriously. Vladimir Putin would eat her lunch. The clintons are back in power. What a drag.

I hear Atty. General Mukasey is expected to recover from his fainting spell, thus depriving the sub-human leftist ghouls from the opportunity to dance on his grave.

Well done Van. An excellent solution to a truly obnoxious and pointless troll.

Don't reckon the way he's pulling lefties out of the Senate for cabinet positions we might have a bit of a chance of some improvement there, do you?

In regards to the IBD article link posted by Watching, do you think that Israel will expect any support from an Obama Administration or do you think they will go earlier and hope for some late help from the Bush Administration?
And if Israel goes early, will the MSM/Democrats clammer (sp.?) for Bush to step aside to let the Chosen One ascend to his ruling throne? So the Chosen One can calm the waters?

Iran has threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the map. The Israelis have been doing military excersises since June. I'll bet they will do the same thing to Iran's Nuclear reactor as they did to Iraq's reactor in 1983. In 1983 the Reagan Administation publicly act like they were pissed off at Israel but behind closed doors you could hear sighs of relief. I beleive the same applies here at this time. As far as any support from the Obama Administation that remains to be seen. Don't forget that Obama's cheif of staff was born in Israel so that could be a supporting factor. I think Israel will attack at any given moment.
Posted by: Watching at November 21, 2008 10:06 AM
I have a bet going that Israel will ruin Iran before the end of the year.
I have no idea how bad the ensuing battle will be of course, but imagine if Peru hated America and wanted it wiped off the map...
We would've bombed the hell out of them when they were even drawing up blueprints for a nuclear reactor.
I'm suprised Israel has waited this long.
Posted by: cowlove at November 21, 2008 10:42 AM
I'm with you on that cowlove. I am surprised as well that Israel has attacked yet. I thought they would attack before summers end.
I wonder what Obama would do if Hugo Chavez got nukes. He's all buddied up with Iran and Russia and I think there is a Russian destroyer docked in Argentina now. Maybe our new secretary of state Hillary Clinton could site down with these thugs and have a cup of tea and "chat" with them.

Does anyone know what the inscription says on the Che Guevara statue in Central Park?
Posted by: jomama at November 21, 2008 12:37 PM
Dear Van Helsing,
Would you please take the pictures of Henry Waxman off this site. He so ugly that he turns my stomach. He's looks like one of those monsters that hid in your closet when we were kids.

How would the left would have reacted if McCain had won? Pretty much like this.

Look up the new article titled, 'It was controlled pandemonium', by Martin Dyckman for a glimpse at old school media bias and lunacy. (no link, on cell phone)

That's the one I was talking about. I can't find a translation of the inscription, though.
Posted by: jomama at November 21, 2008 8:55 PM
I just read that it's not exactly Che, but of a street performer. Info seems pretty scarce at the moment though. Dunno why.
Posted by: Smoke TNT at November 21, 2008 9:57 PM
Because the City does not want to openly admit that they erected a statue to honor a murderer, though all Obama supporters would find it OK.
Posted by: Oiao at November 21, 2008 10:27 PM
Yeah, it's by Christian Jankowski, and it's a street performer as Che, to give them an out no doubt.

TEEN SEX–SEX EDUCATION VIA ENTERTAINMENT
Do violent video games incite teens to commit violence?
That’s like asking whether a child who witnesses violence in his home or is the victim of domestic violence would be more prone to act out violently in schools and elsewhere.
Of course, video games as well as movies and television shows incite violence. Isn’t that why we have the MPAA movie ratings and, until recently, largely self-imposed network restrictions on violent, and sexual, content during the early hours of prime time programming?
Likewise with the effect of movies and television and top twenty lyrics on a child’s budding sexuality.
Seeing young teenieboppers stroll the malls and head to schools, sometimes wearing outfits which would have befit a hooker a few generations ago, it’s sometimes difficult to remember that teenagers are still chldren, struggling through what shrinks like to call their formative years.
They’re also very impressionable years and those same movies and television shows and songs make a great impression, not necessarily good impressions, but great impressions.
What can society do to counter all those negative forces? We know, said the National Association of Educators (NEA). Introduce sex education to our schools and set kids on the right path: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=70464. Check out that website and you may discover that the NEA path is a far cry from your chosen path.
Most secondary schools are now required to teach sex education but it’s rarely needed anymore, at least as far as the, umm, mechanics of intercourse. That lack of necessity today is in part attributable to the assumed necessity of teaching sex education yesterday.
Those courses were originally intended to inform and educate youngsters on such issues as reproductive health, sexual anatomy, interpersonal relationships, avoidance of pregnancy and std’s, etc., which were worthwhile goals, in the abstract.
However, since most school districts were permitted to design their own curricula, guided by the NEA, such courses evolved into efforts to restructure social opinion on gender equity, homosexuality, and as virtual school-sponsored sex clinics replete with instruction on using bananas to learn the proper usage of condoms.
Today, for the most part, most of the material in those courses is redundant since kids have already seen graphic scenes in R-rated movies and are bombarded with not only sex references but with social brainwashing all over the small screen.
Cited earlier in this series, the article, “Study: Sex on TV Linked to Teen Pregnancies: Watching lots of racy shows can affect adolescents over time,” (http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/27506234/), makes an obvious point in its opening sentence, “In the world of television programming, sex sells — perhaps a little too well with young viewers, a new study suggests.”
As the iconic Homer Simpson might say, “Well, duh!”
The contemporary entertainment industry has known about the fact that sex sells for as long as there has been an entertainment industry and it has capitalized on that truism since its inception.
Clara Bow, the “It Girl” of the silent film era, wasn’t a star for her acting ability...

Do you think that censoring someone's comments is a smart thing to do? It means he won the debate when you have to silence him to beat him.
You should try and argue your point on it's own merits instead of in the absence of opposition. That's what a blog and the free expression of ideas is about. Otherwise you never learn anything. Judging by some of the opinions here it seems that many could stand to learn a thing or two.
Posted by: yoda at November 22, 2008 9:13 AM
I'd be more than happy to argue a point on it's own merit. I'm just having trouble finding a lib that doesn't resort to name-calling or blind faith.
Posted by: jomama at November 22, 2008 9:37 AM
yoda, I dare you to take that same argument and go over to the HuffPoo and pretend to be a conserative.
See how long you last.
Please come back and tell us that you experienced total "inclusiveness" and that they celebrated "diversity" by engaging you in rational debate.
Posted by: Oiao at November 22, 2008 9:49 AM
Honestly, I've never seen someone censored for their opinions except on a conservative blog. Even in regular life, when a conservative gets backed into a logical corner they can't escape they start yelling. You can see this behavior clearly on Bill O'Reilly's show.
I've not seen the bad behavior and censoring on liberal blogs. Perhaps it happens and I just haven't been aware of it. Just by virtue of the ideological differences, liberals are more accepting and willing to hear both sides. Conservative rigidity isn't as open to new ideas.
Posted by: yoda at November 22, 2008 1:05 PM
On Huffpo, maybe you have seen where it says 'pending comments'? Honestly Yoda, has Dino ever made a valid point? There is a big difference between simply disagreeing, and being an outright ass. VH wouldn't ban someone for having a different opinion, but he would ban someone for saying 'kill republicans' and such repeatedly with no justification.
