Nappy Napolitano to Head Homeland Security

To the disillusionment of anyone who imagined Obama would even pretend to take the War on Terror or border defense seriously, Arizona's unsuccessful governor Janet "Nappy" Napolitano has apparently received her pieces of silver for backing The One in the form of the top spot at Homeland Security.

Michelle Malkin explains what this means for border security:

Napolitano's heart lies with the shamnesty crowd. She vetoed a bill cracking down on phony matricula consular cards for illegal aliens and rejected efforts allowing more cooperation between local law enforcement and the feds. She opposes assimilationist measures on English language and ID requirements to prevent voter fraud; she supports in-state tuition discounts for illegal aliens.

Crappy Nappy, as some fondly call her, can be expected to do for the DHS bureaucracy what she did for Arizona's state government: bloat it with flab until it can't be sustained. She has turned a $1 billion surplus into a $2 billion deficit.

Nappy the Troll's exit will be the best thing to happen in the Grand Canyon State since Barry Goldwater was born. But as Phoenix talk host Bruce Jacobs points out, Arizona's gain will be America's pain.

Nappy also managed to squander the $6 Billion reserve fund that previous governors had built up.

Every time Chairman Zero announces a cabinet pick, I get a wee bit more optimistic about a GOP renaissance.

Every day I feel more and more like I've slipped into the Twilight Zone.

0bama is determined to make people view George W. as the greatest president ever, just by sheer relativity.

This is a joke... right ?

I Can't Belive People Voted For Her!

Im still waiting for Pope Gore to be installed as head of the EPA.

So Napolitano might be a lesbian? So what - people do not choose their sexual orientation. They are born with it.

Who is the one who makes the issue out of a person's sexual orientation? Looks like the radical right does.

Start respecting the science behind sexual orientation - or is that too challenging for you.

V the K,

Unless the GOP dumps the radical religious right there will be no renaissance.

This is not about "crappy nappy". I went to the link you provided about Bruce Jacobs. I do like the pictures of the "Ladies of the Republican Party". The "Dogs of the Democratic Party" look like they are bitter about something.

this would be akin to putting the children in charge of the daycare?

Obama is turning all of these positions into a mockery.

To "Anonymous"

Why would you support such an idiot to help guid this country? I'd like to see the reasoning behind it...

Posted by: ster!nn at November 20, 2008 3:04 PM

the secret service must be twisting in their suits - they were not favorable to the clintons.

If you have nothing to say about THE TOPIC, kindly shut your Liberal pie-hole. For years you Liberals insisted that we conservatives were afraid to "debate" you, yet every time we did, you started in with personal attacks, cries of "unfair", "racism", ect and avoidance of the subject.

I question the timing.

(I know it doesn't make sense, but I'm trying to get into the spirit of the times and pass as a liberal.)

Is the Gov a Dyke?

Posted by: Oiao at November 20, 2008 7:45 PM

What does Dom Imus have to say about her?

HEY! Someone HAD to ask...

Posted by: Jimbo at November 20, 2008 8:29 PM

Don Imus has certainly learned his lesson about speaking freely.

Sharpton and Jackson made sure of that.

Posted by: cowlove at November 20, 2008 9:24 PM

And what exactly qualifies her for the job? The fact that she was a Governor does not make her an expert, governors are executive's they are nort experts on security or counter terrorism a cabinet secretery is supposed to be an expert. The one is showing just how seriously he takes the terrorist threat but then I already knew that after all we have the Clinton Admin part II forming up here and so terrorism will be a law enforcement problem as a matter of policy in this Admin. We will see another 9/11 because of this.

Qualifications??!?! They don't need no steenking qualifications!!! Apparently, now that a possibly non American citizen has gotten his meathooks into the highest office in the land, the mask comes off and a crew of incompetents will flood the government with entitlement, and an utter lack of responsibility, unless you're a conservative, because obviously it's OUR fault. We have an unmitigated terminal foot in mouth disease Vice President elect ONE heartbeat from the top office, and a speaker of the House who makes Stalin look like a choirboy TWO heartbeats away. Makes me all warm and tingly all over. The Obamination of America is now rolling in all it's facinating and grotesque, dare I say it?.....glory.... The only silver lining is that Nappy is the president's problem, although consequently, still ours. Don't let the doorknob hit you in the behind when you leave Nappy!

I love it! Obama finally did something right. The sooner Crappy Nappy is out of our state the better. Goodby, good luck and good riddance.

Thanks Barack!
