Muslim Terrorists Bask in Obama Victory

Abu Omar al-Baghdadi leads the Islamic State of Iraq, an umbrella radical group with ties to al Qaeda. Like everyone else who bears ill will toward America, he's delighted with the Moonbat Messiah's victory. From Obama's own enablers at the New York Times:

The leader of a jihadi group in Iraq argued Friday that the election of Barack Obama as president represented a victory for radical Islamic groups that had battled American forces since the invasion of Iraq. …
Mr. Baghdadi also said that the election of Mr. Obama — and the rejection of the Republican candidate, Senator John McCain — was a victory for his movement, a claim that has already begun to resonate among the radical faithful. …
And other commentators echoed Mr. Baghdadi's view that the election was a victory for the insurgents in Iraq, the Taliban in Afghanistan, Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
"It would be no exaggeration to say that we Arabs and Muslims were the main unseen voters who decided the outcome of these elections," wrote Abdelbari Atwan in Wednesday's issue of the London-based pan-Arab daily newspaper Al Quds Al Arabi.
He wrote, "The transformation that will begin in the U.S. starting today in various political, economic, military, and social domains may well have been delayed for decades, had the new American century been crowned with victory, and had the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan taken the directions sought by the neo-cons — in other words, had there been political stability and economic prosperity…"

Political stability and economic prosperity are bad news for Islamists, who stand to inherit the ruins when civilization collapses, having been eaten away from within by the moonbattery Obama personifies.

They now see Americans as weaker than ever before.

"AL QAEDA PLANNING ATTACK ON AMERICA LARGER THAN 9/11 ATTACK
I guess they haven't gotten the memo on hope and change.

OSAMA bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will "outdo by far" September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.

And according to a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative, the terrorist organisation has entered a "positive phase", reinforcing specific training camps around the world that will lead the next "wave of action" against the West.

The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi - and widely reported in the major Italian papers - quotes a person described as being "very close to al-Qaeda" in Yemen.

The source also said that during the next few days the terrorist organisation may send a sign of its violent intentions.

The warning has emerged at the same time as publication of a report leaked to The Telegraph newspaper which reveals that a document drawn up by the intelligence branch of the Ministry of Defence says that thousands of extremists are active in the UK.

The document says the operatives are predominantly UK-born and aged between 18 and 30. Many are believed to have been trained in overseas terrorist camps.

Security officials, The Telegraph reports, are convinced al-Qaeda cells will attempt another "spectacular" inside the UK with major transport centres, such as airports and train stations, the most likely targets. Other targets include the Houses of Parliament, Whitehall and Buckingham and St James' palaces, with the threat level described as "severe"."

Hey, mabye Joe Biden was right about something. They'll test him alright. Its scary, because I live near Chicago, and it's now in the top five targets for a terrorist attack.

Biden was referring to the US intelligence report on Iran which indidates they could have a nuke ready by February. Specifically, what Israel will do if they set off a nuclear test.

Anon (get a name will you), then why didn't he just say that? Is it because Obama had danced around and said Iran isn't a serious threat but Iran is a very grave threat? Hmmmmm...

I've had countless arguments with my wackjob European colleagues about this dubious distinction of O'Bama's. Still, they basically can't STAND Bush and simply saw McCain as more of the same. So frustrating, the ignorance... not only here BUT abroad. For all his flaws and frustrating non-conservative acts, Bush is largely the reason why we haven't been hit again in 7 years. The One will be THE reason we will probably be hit again soon, as telegraphed by Biden.

Happy 233rd Birthday, Marines.

We have not had another terrorist attack in the U.S. bc Bush demonstrated a clear willingness to remove thugs and countries.
There will be no such consequences with BO.

With any provocation to America, BO's first response will likely be to ask both "sides" to chill.
Probably, he will then take a nuanced approach... that is, once the global point of view weighs in and only after tea with Iran.

MB - I love your opinion! You tell 'em :) If more of us stick together, then we will make it through. We should smartly support the President-elect, which is why I co-wrote an Obama survival book. You can check it out at www.HowtoSurviveObama.com

"Political stability and economic prosperity are bad news for Islamists"

You said that!

Neither political stability nor economic prosperity exists at present. In other words, the current situation is not bad news for them.

"Bush is largely the reason why we haven't been hit again in 7 years."

I thought it was Cheney in control of that_

9 Sep 2004 04:42 PM , Dick Cheney told an audience that if Americans make the “wrong choice” on election day, “the danger is that we’ll get hit again and we’ll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States.”

Now he's going to punish us all for making the wrong choice this time and let us get hit... what a Dick!

Maybe we should bomb a few more wedding parties over there? I'm sure if half your family members were wiped out, you would all surrender immediately and realize it was for your own good, that "we're from the (US) government and we're here to help you" isn't scary when its arabs your saying it to... and, as we can all see... we've really helped a lot

Posted by: doG at November 10, 2008 9:56 PM

What does Dick Cheney have to do with this? He's out of office with Bush and won't be able to stop the inane foreign policy direction the Obamessiah will take us in. You know, I thought the libs were all for freedom and liberation from oppression, yet they're obviously cool with leaving Saddam Hussein in power.

Posted by: cubedweller at November 10, 2008 10:16 PM

Stupid BO. I hate him for doing this us. I have never wanted time to pass so badly. I can't wait for 4 years, that's if we make it that far.

Posted by: chris at November 11, 2008 2:10 AM

As for a NAME, why are people so obsessed with that. Ok, Im making one up. Hows that? LOL!

So why didnt Biden come right out and say he would be tested by the Iran situation? Mainly because he wasnt supposed to say anything about it. Of course, it leaked anyway, a few days later. The US government is terrible at keeping secrets. Which is why so many conspiracy theories (UFO's, 9-11, JFK) are so silly.

We didn't need Biden to tell us anything....Anyone with an ounce of common sense should know that while America is full of "hope and Change" our enemies are celebrating the weakness of Obama's stance on protecting America. Of course they will try and take advantage of him...Ask Carter.

"So why didnt Biden come right out and say he would be tested by the Iran situation? Mainly because he wasnt supposed to say anything about it."

Do you read your words and slap your forehead for being such an idiot? You should, with a 2X4.

So Biden said something about it, but not in very much detail, because he wasn't supposed to say anything about it...

I get it, you're a plant. You're just pretending to be this stupid to try to make the rest of the trolls look dumber. I'm on to your game!

Posted by: cowlove at November 11, 2008 10:12 AM

The request for a name, "Name", is so we don't have to keep responding to 'Anonymous at (time)'. Makes it easier for everyone here. Also, it helps keep things straight, so we're not responding to the wrong person. You know, like an actual debate about thoughts, ideas, and issues & not like some random drive-by troll spewing a random firehose of radical "talking points" (a.k.a. shit), and then disappearing into the night.

We'll gladly debate you. No prob. But if you want to be taken seriously, as opposed to a leaking septic truck, do the following:

1. Pick a name. "ObamasSwinginDick". "NewportNews". "JellyRollSocialist". "Bob". Even "Name" will do just fine.

2. Stick to it. Use the same name when you post.

3. Form coherent sentences and arguements.

I think that's about it. Unlike most of the Lib blogs, VH goes to great pains NOT to moderate this site. I think in the last year I've seen 2 (count 'em, two) instances of posts removed.

Now THAT's freedom of speech. With freedom comes responsibility... in this case to be civil and at identify yourself at least enough that we can tell one lib troll from another.

Unless you want to be considered by everyone as just another tanker truck of feces passing by.

Maybe you didn't notice what went down in NYCNY, Washington, D.C. and a field in PA over 7 years ago. Radical Islam is a threat and that threat has to be addressed. That is, unless you're another moonbat who thinks that the Mossad did 9/11 or like anti-American stain Jeremiah Wright that America 'derserved' 9/11?

As the 'insurgents' in Iraq are demonstrating, they could have taken out Hussein on their own had they had to balls to do so.

These radical Islamists started this fight and the USA, God willing, will finish it. If they do not want to take the fight to their REAL oppressors and if they are not willing to crawl into the 21st Century and act in a civilized manner, then they can expect to be bombed into atoms.

I say this as a USAR non-com (Ret.)and someone who has been there and knows that the US & coalition forces ARE doing good.

Yeah .. because that TOTALLY DID HAPPEN. And, it was deliberate. And Bushitler did it.

Anyhoo. The fact that you are too stupid to realise that preventing a genocidal Baath socialist dictator gas minorities to death by the tens of thousands is worth the tragic risk of collateral damage, which is a risk that is present in every single battle that has ever occurred anywhere and is unfortunately a reality of war. Sadly for you the Iraqis are not that stupid which is why their leaders called out your douchebag progressive messiah when he presumed to tell the rest of the world that they wanted America out asap.

Oh but we don't expect you to be embarrassed over that, as the shame impulse in lefty brains is veistigial.

Posted by: mandible claw at November 12, 2008 1:08 AM

Oh and Kevin "Kevin Rudd" Rudd, supreme progressive leader of Australia who bravely Brought The Troops Home from Iraq, is STILL demanding John Howard apologize for saying terrorists celebrated Obama's win.

What. A. Douche.

People are fucking rediculous. Why would we elect him PRESIDENT of the greatest nation in the world just to fuck it up?

Posted by: Karen at November 12, 2008 6:29 PM

Karen if I thought you had voted for him because you thought he would f#ck America up, we would be at war right now. That would truly be "rediculous [sic]."

Instead, I think you voted for him because you don't know his policies are going to f#ck America up.
