Liberals Find God
It looks like liberals can't get along without God after all. They've created their own, out of lamentably low-quality materials:
Sooner or later it will seep through to all but the dimmest Kool-Aid–guzzlers that their god is a cheap little punk, a trinket out of a gumball machine that has been passed off to them as a holy relic. In the meantime, they've got our country on the sacrificial altar.

Wrong! This is the tipping point where the US slides into Third World status. In the next 4 to 8 years the socialist power grabbers will create so many new or higher paid leeches on the public's income that there will be no way to swing the Ship of State back to either neutral or right. The nationalizing of various parts of the economy will complete the disaster. First the lending industry, then the energy industry, then health, then a total grab of your retirement (mandatory deposit of your IRA/401k into government program), etc.
Much like '68 was the seminal year for lefties to take over government, 2008 is the new and improved 1968. The Reagan years were the only hope in hell of reversing this and the GOP managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. In 4 years we will be France. Then they'll like us, right?

The new president doesn't want to be merely President, of course -- he prefers to play at being Emperor. Our (and I use "our" very loosely) new Divinity come to Earth, His Enormity, is now free to let his fascism come to the fore, and we are all his "willing" servants (Obama is Amerika! Amerika is Obama! -- sound familiar to anyone even slightly learned in the history of Nazi Germany?).
Four years of Darkness, indeed -- we may never come back out of it, is the real problem, though . . .
