Liberal Niceness
Liberals don't need morality, because they have something that serves them better: niceness. Forget that old-fashioned stuff about right and wrong; if we just always do what's nice — i.e., politically correct — we'll have a better world. But whereas morality is a sturdy bridge supported by pillars sunk deep into the earth, "niceness" is a pretty piece of flotsam that floats at random on the surface.
Niceness being so flimsy, it isn't hard to discover what lays beneath it. The demonic hatred evoked by Sarah Palin has provided numerous examples, such as websites that go after her family by ridiculing Trig Palin for having Down syndrome, encouraging Bristol Palin to abort her child, and urging Levi Johnston to abandon Bristol. Mainstream journalists have also allowed their loathing of Saracuda to spill over to the whole clan, wrinkling their noses in disgust at a loving gesture by Piper.
Not all of the children dragged into this seething cauldron of niceness are members of the Palin family. Check out this moonbat baby fashion:
During the campaign, the most intense niceness was focused on Sarah Palin herself. Sandra Bernhard publicly fantasized about her being raped by blacks. Heather Mallick of Canada's public CBC took hatred of Saracuda to the verge of crapping in her hand and flinging it. West Hollywood homosexuals hanged Palin in effigy. Moonbats have vindictively claimed, contrary to the highly convincing evidence of our eyes, that she isn't a woman. Yet a HuffPo moonbat fantasized:
Basically, I want to have sex with her on my Barack Obama sheets while my wife reads aloud from the Constitution. (My wife is cool with this if I promise to "first wipe off Palin's tranny makeup." I married well.)
Even the venomous Bill Maher was taken aback by the blistering hatred libs like Andrew Sullivan have spewed at Sarah Palin:
Not only Palin, but any decent, normal American identified with the opposition is subject to the Left's sulfuric niceness: take Joe the Plumber, for example. Nicey-nice progressives have been mean to the Girl Scouts, the Cub Scouts, and even inanimate objects.
For opposing The One, liberals' former favorite Republican found himself in for a heaping dose of progressive niceness. A photographer hired by the Atlantic to take pictures of McCain for a cover story produced this:
McMaverick wasn't the only senior citizen to fall prey. In their overwrought niceness, liberals physically assaulted a 75-year-old man, as well as a 69-year-old woman for holding a cross. Their dime store messiah got laughs by ridiculing Ronald Reagan's widow.
At least they're tolerant — except toward those they don't like, e.g., people of faith.
Yet by some grotesque feat of self-delusion, liberals seem to feel they hold the moral high ground for being too nice to have morals like judgmental Republicans.

Also the faithful who believe human beings are destroying all of creation with CO2, but are somehow simultaneously incapable of basic self reliance and accountability. Destroying the world - no problem. Taking care of one's self - impossible.

These idiots are very selectively tolerant. I know...the phrase selectively tolerant doesn't make much sense, but then again, neither do bleeding heart liberal ideals.
Bash anyone you like, as long as they're not part of the "untouchable liberal circle", i.e. other races, homosexuals, hippies (sorry--"ambitiously challenged Americans"), pro-choice advocates, etc.
I don't know how these hypocrites can look at themselves in the mirror.

It's common knowledge that moonbats are the exact opposite of everything they preach to be.
Or more accurately, they are the exact opposite of what they preach everyone else ought to be.
They have transformed the Democratic Party into the party of, "Do as I say, not as I do."

As Camille Paglia, a bright lady who's not exactly a conservative, has noted (to paraphrase): Those who think Sarah Palin is "dumb," are the truly dumb ones.
Gov. Palin may not, ultimately, be the nominee in 2012, but I have no doubt she will kick Dummycrat ass, big time, once the political season gets going (assuming we still have a country by that time).

It is not that progressives have standards. Otherwise, we can peg them for their hypocrisy. The only reason that they can successfully peg conservatives for hypocrisy is because we actually have standards we try to achieve. Progressives have no standard at all except what fits them at the time. As one commenter noted, it's convenient now for them to play nice and ask us to rally around His Holiness after eight years of calling President George W. Bush Chimpy McBushilter, Christofacist, King George, etc.
