Karl Rove Praises Chairman O's Economic Team
Until recently, it has appeared obvious that Obama is a radical leftist who duped moderates into foolishly voting for him. But as he selects his cabinet, the possibility has arisen that it's the hard left kooks he's used as stepping stones who've been duped. The recent improvements in the stock market suggest that investors are starting to believe he will govern not as reckless radical, but as a mediocre centrist — albeit a big-government mediocre centrist. In other words, he may govern like liberals' conception of Satan incarnate, George W. Bush.
If any human being could be more hated by moonbats than W, it's Karl Rove, whom liberals used to accuse of being "Bush's brain." Their monitors must be growing blurry behind specks of spittle as they read Rove's endorsement of Obama's economic team.
The team even includes Larry Summers, who was driven out of Harvard for politically incorrect thought crimes, and who attempted — like a Republican — to rein in the excesses of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Maybe this will cheer up disheartened moonbats who are beginning to suspect we haven't elected Vladimir Lenin after all: The Guardian has moved beyond comparing The One to famous presidents, finding him reminiscent of Cicero. After he takes office and actually does something, he'll no doubt be compared to Zeus.

On tips from V the K and mega.

Looks like the Obamamoonies are getting their third Bush term after all. Bwah-ha-ha-ha-hah-ha.

Obama is a con man, clearly. Now we just have to wait to see who was conned, Americans or liberals.
A major force driving Obama toward pragmatism may be racial: he probably doesn't want the first black President to be a disaster. If so, that impulse will make him govern from the center. Americans will find watching liberals' heads explode just an added benefit.

V the K,
You were right we are going to enter a win win situation here. He's going to screw the people that got him to the White House. LOL LOL!! Let the real fun begin 1-20-08!!!!!

K Rove has now gone the way of the entire Republican intelligentsia in declaring Obama to be off to a promising start and not necessarily being a scary Marxist after all. I think they are all wrong, and they should wait for him to actually DO something before they declare him not-so-bad-after-all. True, his appointments are not as scary as they might have otherwise been, and yes, the stock market has taken a bounce off the climactic sell-off low (which it was going to do no matter what the news, but anyway...), but Obama remains an unqualified near-Marxist meddler with statist, globalist, blame-America instincts, and these Repubs should really STFU. I realize they all want to be on or at least in proximity to the winning team, now, but our political system requires a functioning, non-slobbery opposition.

KKKarl Rove = Fox News employee.
Fox News is now trying to lean to the center (and maybe even a little more left) so they get access to the Whitehouse and Obama Administration.
Fox news will literally stick the knife in the back of Conservatives in order to ensure they have the same access as CNN/MSNBC.
Posted by: xantl at November 28, 2008 1:57 PM
We will just have to wait and see. This could be a ploy but I'm hoping for the center. I want to see the hard left Sqirm like a worm.

Sounds nice. But I'm still buying more bullets.

I second that.

Looks like 0bama is going to be copying the worst aspects of Bush, Clinton, and Carter. This is not the change you are looking for.

Your guys? Dino, this isn't a sports forum or a 360/PS3 debate. You are simply a democrat fanboy with nothing of substance to add ever.
Posted by: Smoke TNT at November 28, 2008 5:17 PM
Fox News will try to "show" it is going to the center... But any real conservative who watches religiously knows the 2 guys that run prime-time, O'Reilly and now solo-Hannity are true-blue Conservatives that will never waiver...

Dinko,
Don't you have an inflate-a-date to take care of? Oh by the way if you are going to post please bring relevant points to the forum. You're just pissed because obaba has given you leftists bungholes the shaft. SUCKERS!!!!

Now lets see him twirl his head around
Posted by: Spurwing Plover at November 28, 2008 8:00 PM
That's the name of the game, Farmer. Obama pulled the biggest switcheroo in modern politics, so all the left has left (!) is to say "oh YEAH, well you just wait and SEE! You guys are toast! Ha! We beat you and...and...HA! So there, nya nya nya..."
I'm under no illusion that Obama has suddenly become Reagan. But this is no "Fox News" spin (you guys...for the record: Not every conservative is a TV robot. I don't take what Fox says as gospel, I actually hear and think and make up my own mind. Yes I do). Anyone with a brain sees what Obama is doing, and if it benefits us, takes us less far to the radical left, and pisses off the Ultra Lib Lefties at the same time, then I am real pleased!
Oh, and Dino? If you think it's going to be "generations" before conservatives are back (and by the look of your man Obama's moves lately, we're not all that far GONE), I'll make you a little wager: Big Conservative Wins in 2010, Newt in the White House in 2012. Care to bet?

Oh yeah...hate. People "hate" him. If you are referring to the left, where more vitriol and bile have been hurled (a lot at me from folks who used to be friends) then I guess you are right. The Daily Kos will never support Gingrich. Neither will Soros or move on or you. Oh well, can't get EVERYone's vote.
And this is no crystal ball working here. You guys haven't even got your man in there yet and he's "centering". Now, I wonder why? OH YEAH! Because he isn't stupid and wants to last as long as possible...like any typical politician does. Why isn't he going balls-out to the left? OH YEAH, because you guys are noisy, and that's about it.
This ain't the 30's, you haven't got a mandate, he just alienated most of the rad-left base, coming events will require true leadership (which "O" ain't got) and people are going to figure out real quick that prosperity doesn't come from "the bottom up".
PS We have a whole stable of new faces that will be big by '12. Good people, too.
PPS Your hatred of Palin only proves your elitism, and what a crock the "Feminist" thing is. No matter WHAT her credentials, she (Palin) should be embraced by feminists (hey, they like Maya Angelou and she hasn't got any perceptable talent OR accomplishments). No matter what her (Palin's) politics, she should have been CELEBRATED. No matter what her religion (diversity and tolerance like you give the Moslems, remember?) she (Palin) should have been lauded. But no..."feminist" women turned on her like the hateful, vindictive, totally agenda-driven phony shrews that they are.
Sorry Dino...things just don't look so hot for the libs from where I sit.

"Back then the repubes hadn't brought on a Depression..."
We didn't bring on a depression this time, either. Just because W. was in the White House at the time doesn't necessarily mean our economic troubles are his fault.
As I've explained to you on several occasions, our country's economic troubles are largely due to two factors:
1. The housing crisis, caused by banks granting a lot of hefty loans to a lot of people who they knew fully well would be incapable of paying them back, which in turn was caused by Obama and numerous other liberals in the government forcing the banks to do so in the name of "social justice."
2. The Democrats in Congress allowing Fannie and Freddie to grow ever more bloated, ignoring the warnings of Bush, McCain, and other Republicans about what the inevitable consequences would be for such a decision. Then again, I can see why they did it: A lot of the Democrats turned out to be so deeply in Fannie's pocket that it's a miracle they weren't covered in lint.
matt, good point. If the feminists truly were about female empowerment, they should have been the leaders of the Sarah Palin fan club. She was a woman who proved herself to be strong, capable, competent, and caring. She helped clean up corruption in a state that was loaded with it (Including confronting those in her own party who turned out to be corrupt), and did well enough to garner an 86% approval rating. Sarah Palin proved that a woman can do well in politics, yet the feminists rejected her because she wasn't an ultra- liberal like them.
It is interesting to see so many liberals realize that Obama will not be the Communist Messiah they had hoped for (Or at least not as much of one as they had hoped for). It'll be amusing when dino and his kind get that rude awakening, and turn on Obama at the drop of a hat.
Posted by: Adam at November 29, 2008 6:32 AM
Obama is going to try to be all things to all people and thats why he will fail. Bush did the same thing and that was his undoing.
Obama is an empty vessel into which people pour their hopes and dreams - unfortunately the vessel has alot of holes in it along with a huge crack.
I think Rove is just trying to get under the skin of liberals by saying good things about Obama, more than anything else.

Dino's comment was pulled. Poor Dino. Getting too hot in here I guess...HEY DINO, the door to the kitchen is that-a-way. (People who can't be rattled and make sense are SUCH a bother!)

I think Rove is just trying to get under the skin of liberals by saying good things about Obama, more than anything else.
I didn't think of that, but it makes huge sense. It's quite brilliant, in a Rovian way.
The other possibility, that Rove himself has now gone native, is too terrible to contemplate.
Posted by: mega at November 29, 2008 12:46 PM
Rove is a sharp enough cookie that it's highly possible- maybe even probable- that he crafted his statements to act as Primacord among the Left's psychotic ranks, as well as to cause us on the Right to watch the situation even more closely.
Posted by: Toa at November 29, 2008 2:18 PM
You guys could be correct, but no matter how you slice it, Obama has gone way more "center" left than anyone imagined. As I've said before, not great, not what I'd want, but way better than it could be. I could slog through another Clinton-esque administration, but not through a Stalin-esque one. So let's hope "O" is savvy enough to know that he was just BSing the far left to get their vote, and now he'll just be another run of the mill Democrat.

Dino,
Unlike you and those like you, we have no problem with opposition. Someone who disagrees with us yet at least remains polite, tolerant, and respectful about it is always welcome here. What we DO have a problem with, however, are jerks like you who have nothing of substance to say, and just spew out blatant hate- mongering against all those who disagree with you and your warped ideology. That's why you'll notice that you are one of the only lefty trolls here who has actually been banned. Even many of the more obnoxious trolls at least do not puke out as much bigotry and venom as you do in every post. When you start advocating that all Republicans be put in concentration camps and all Christians be thrown to lions, as you have in your past posts, that's where we draw the line.

"How pathetic that you're reduced to this childish deleting of opinions you can't refute."
1. Your childish behavior prompted the deleting.
2. By definition, an opinion cannot be refuted. You can attempt to sway someone's opinion, but that's obviously not your intent here. I wouldn't expect facts to get in your way though; it's not like they have before.
I appreciate you admitting that it bothers you, though. Do get help, please. Your sick compulsion to blindly post ignorant and insulting rants (even though you should be celebrating your team's "win") by using different computers, masking your IP, and posting at all hours, everyday, on every single one of Van Helsing's posts demonstrates a disturbing mentality. I shudder to think of the possibilities were you not to have this outlet to vent.
