In the Face of Economic Crisis, Obama Will Push Global Warming Hoax

If you think the economy is bad now, wait until January, when the same foxes that gave us the Fanny/Freddy crisis will officially be in sole custody of the henhouse. From Roto-Reuters:

Barack Obama said on Tuesday the United States would "engage vigorously" in climate change talks when he is president, and he pledged to work to reduce emissions sharply by 2020, despite the financial crisis.
The Democratic president-elect, who regularly criticized the Bush administration's attitude toward global warming, reiterated his plans to start a "cap and trade" system that limits carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from big industries.

The global warming farce continues, although if anything it's cold we have to worry about. That and government by people who do not wish us well.

A small child could predict the effect "cap and trade" will have on an economy already heading into a severe recession. It will be similar to the effect on the already plummeting stock market of raising capital gains taxes — as Obama has promised to do even though the result will be less revenue for the government, in the interests of inflicting "fairness" by punishing people for investing.

Soon after Obama takes control, the American economy is going to crash. The policies he will pursue could have no other outcome — nor are they intended to.

The worse the economy, the easier it is to strip us of the economic liberty that made this country rich. Ask the liberal media that brought about his election; the current cover of Time equates Obama with FDR, who prolonged the Great Depression with his socialist policies, and whose heavy hand set us on our course toward communism by increments.

Just as Stalin deliberately engineered famines to advance his objectives, killing millions in the process, we will soon witness a deliberately engineered depression.

When the smoke clears, this will be a different country. Maybe it will be a totalitarian Marxist state, which is the explicit objective of the milieu that produced Obama. Maybe we'll just be given a hard shove further left, so that our standard of living is permanently lowered by crippling taxes, regulation, government dependency, and the inefficiency that inevitably results from nationalization.

Or maybe — just maybe — Americans will revolt.

We can't say they didn't warn us.

At this point, only a complete fool or someone with an agenda would be spreading the failed hypothesis of AGW. The ice core data, tropospheric readings, carbon cycle, Pacific decadal oscillation, water vapor percentages, world history, the current cooling trend, and temperature readings from other planets have buried this nonsense, as far as reality is concerned.

Posted by: Smoke TNT at November 18, 2008 9:10 PM

Smoke, There is no reality in Obama politics.

Except for the fact that Obama's number one supporter, Dino, is Gay.

AGW is the modern day Socialist method of control.

Oh, and Dino is Gay.

Posted by: Oiao at November 18, 2008 9:15 PM

You know - I heard Dino is gay. I dunno - it certainly sounds unhappy to me.

And Yomama can TALK 'temoerature' all it wants - but it tries to take MY temperature there's gonna be trouble.

I wonder if it will discuss the little "mix-up" in reporting the coldest October on record as the warmest?

If you can read fast, there is a video that shows the absurdity of global warming

They didn't include our Dino--probably didn't know about him.

Posted by: SnowSnake at November 18, 2008 9:26 PM

Hehe, I like Dino. Dino is actual proof that someone can make themselves believe anything, just by simply wanting to. It's like living in a Disney movie or something. Reality be damned!

It's like believing that you don't need gas for your car if you keep your tires properly inflated.

Posted by: Smoke TNT at November 18, 2008 9:30 PM

LOL Smoke!

Dino loser X 10². If it wasn't just a troll it would be one thing - but it seems to actually believe the crap it espouses - then it gets super loaded and makes absolutely NO sense.

Sorta like the Oral Office for the next 4 years (or until we can get it impeached).

Posted by: Jimbo at November 18, 2008 9:41 PM

Dino a loser?

Ironic coming from a member of the party that LOST IT ALL in 2006 and again in 2008. You have NOTHING to look forward to in the next 4 years but MISERY at watching the country you thought you controlled TURNED UPSIDE DOWN.

At this rate you people will be nothing more than a party of racist redneck white trash. Oh wait, you already are!

Yep, that was me.

Posted by: Dino at November 18, 2008 9:47 PM

Yanno, I thought this Dino might be more than the brainstem it's so fond of projecting from itself onto us, what with willingness to cite sources, no matter how easily refuted, and interest in history, however badly misinterpreted, but yeah, once again, just another troll, doesn't even have the imagination to try to moby us. What a lose.

In other important Obama news:

Obama brings change ... of wardrobe

NEW YORK (AFP) - - Barack Obama promised to bring change and may just succeed -- at least in the way Americans dress.

The 47-year-old president-elect promises to fix the economy, withdraw from Iraq, and catch Osama bin Laden. If nothing else, he'll go down as the man who returned elegance to the White House.
---
Tyler Thoreson, executive editor at men.style.com, says Obama's suits hang almost perfectly on a gym-trimmed body, unlike the ill-cut clothes common to men of President George W. Bush's generation.

This creates a modern, yet sober image appropriate to these perilous times and a stark change from Bush's championing of cowboy boots and Stetsons.

"It's a simple thing: his suits are actually tailored to fit him, whereas most middle aged men are swimming in extra fabric," Thoreson said.
---
"He's very comfortable with himself physically and emotionally ... and that's one of the key things that makes him appealing in a tough time," Thoreson said. "He's absolutely going to have a big impact on the way men dress."
---
But for Mike England, a 26-year-old banker visiting New York from Britain, Obama has the magic that can make an icon.

"It's not so much his dress sense as his personality. He's like Tony Blair when he first came in as prime minister -- young and full of ideas and that's what really makes him fashionable.
---

But of course to insinuate that in Obama people voted for a persona rather than a style of government or a set of policy positions they agreed with would be RACIST.

Posted by: mandible claw at November 18, 2008 9:48 PM

Oh yeah, one more thing. Put away any fantasies you have of doing to Obama what you did to Clinton. Obama has a MANDATE by winning a plurality of votes. He even snatched away some reliable RED STATES. He has VERY STRONG SUPPORT.

He's got LOTS of support from republicans, too. Too bad for you losers. We'll leave you behind like so much ROAD KILL.

This retards plan for a cap and trade system will turn our power grid into a 3rd world countries power grid. I've lived in a third world country before and know exactly what it is like for the power grid to go offline every day for one to six hours at a time. Try that here with our overtaxed power grid and you'll have problems with city hospitals during operations, etc. This retarded racist parrot that the left elected will end up killing more Americans than the 9/11 terrorists did. You can start taking bets on this one, I know it is a sure win for anyone who says this will happen.

BTW, where is the fucking warming? Right now I'm in Florida freezing my god damn balls off. And while I'm at it, orange trees have not been able to grow north of Orlando (which is where I am at) since the late 70s? Want to know why?

Because it is now too cold to grow them here, the area I live in used to be an orange grove some 40 years ago (long before I was born mind you) yet today you can't grow oranges in this area like you could 40 years ago, again, orange trees don't grow in weather this cold! I remember seeing icicles on trees here in the late 70s and early 80s, that crap killed the trees off. SHOW ME THE WARMING! PROOF! NOT RHETORIC LEFTIES!

While we Americans shiver at home without heat in the winter, or swelter in summer heat, we can all take pride in our GQ president looking so finely tailored. One idea I saw here on this blog was a bicycle-propelled electrical generator to provide light. We can all have our children peddling away every night so we can read. Also candles and oil lamps are great old invenions, horse-drawn carts, oxen, and windmills. I can't wait to do my laundry in a washtub.

Is Dino into buggery?

Posted by: hana1234 at November 18, 2008 10:37 PM

A lot of scientist advocates of GW will lose credibility on this one. The scientific method asserts that counter-hypotheses have to be dismissed in order to conclude that any one particular hypothesis is more likely to be correct.
Not done in the case of GW where the cause is assumed by popular demand to be industry (and largely U.S. industry at that).

In addition a scientific hypothesis must be falsifiable. Not possible in the case of GW where models predict cooling when warming doesn't occur and measurable temperatures do not exceed prior temperature ranges. This forces a shift in language from GW to "climate change."

So its not suprising to see scientists that have jumped on the Cargo Cult promoting false data to sustain an unfalsifiable hypothesis.

Dino there are plenty of gay Republicans. The ones who won't live in SF because of the stench. Your orientation is nobody's business and, I believe, not the government's either.

As the years add up, you will gradually understand the mechanics of why things work as well as they do in the world despite the efforts of a few to tear it down. You will slowly start to question those on the Left who have only destruction as their aim. Finally, you'll end up on Moonbattery making fun of these poor sots whose belief that they know it all shows how far they have to go.

To create a formal Moonbattery you need proper branding, as in "Green" or "Air America". "Global Warming" as a brand label is already well past its peak as we all know. There was a concerted effort to brand "Climate Change" which served the dual purpose of allowing the same campaign to continue, since there has been a curious lack of warming of late.

The GW camp has had to give up on the "Climate Change" moniker for the reason that it obviously implicated that "Global Warming" was not holding up.

It has been debated whether Obama will continue to be a far-left policymaker, or more likely, is a standard "bend in the wind" politician who will toe a centrist line to keep in power. Many Democratic candidates have used the far left neccesary idiots as a stepping stone, from Pelosi to Feinstein. Promise impeachment or surrender, and the lefties will flock behind you.

Obama has already violated his promises of immediate Iraq withdrawal. This is because he is not stupid. He knows this is an absurd idea that does not play in the real world. But he needed to get elected, by the most inept and ignorant sector of our electorate.

Posted by: Air2air at November 18, 2008 11:00 PM

IS Obama going to prove he is eligible to be President before he assumes dictatorial control? After all, this isn't Kenya you know.

Posted by: bill-tb at November 18, 2008 11:30 PM

A year ago he was in fact touting immediate troop withdrawal. That changed into withdrawal within 16 months, which became withdrawal 'starting' in 16 months, who will then be sent to Afghanistan. You only need to look at 0bama's past flip-flops to know that his words are meaningless. Gun control, campaign finance, Israel sovereignty, marijuana legalization, Iran as a threat, the Cuban embargo, and just in the past week, cabinet lobbyists and Guantanamo. 0bama is whoever you want him to be, Dino.

The way these cap 'n trade schemes have worked in other countries is that industries shut down and move to developing countries where pollution controls are less stringent, thus resulting in more pollution globally.

Add in Chairman O's determination to raise America's corporate tax rate (already the second highest in the developed world) and you are practically begging companies to move manufacturing to Mexico, China, and India.

Of course, the people most effected by this will be the dumb unionists who voted Chairman O in, so screw 'em.

Greens Spell Progress R-e-c-e-s-s-i-o-n
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Tuesday, November 18, 2008 4:20 PM PT

Climate Change: Great news for global warm-ongers: New data show the world is on target to meet the Kyoto targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The bad news: It took a major economic collapse to get it done.

SOME OF THE QUOTES

What has really happened is that major industrial economies aren't reducing their so-called greenhouse gas emissions at all. Indeed, the industrial economies excluding the former communist ones have actually increased greenhouse gas output by 9.9% since 1990. Supposed "progress" in meeting the Kyoto limits is an illusion.

The U.S., which has increased output by 14% since 1990, has actually performed better than most of Europe since 2000. We have never ratified the Kyoto treaty, so we come in for routine bashing because of our supposed dirty ways.

But many other countries that have signed the deal are doing far, far worse. Spain, for instance, is up a whopping 50.6%; Australia, 28.8%; and Ireland, the land of green, 25.6%. Canada, whose diplomats repeatedly score us for our ungreen ways, turns out to be quite a dirty bird itself, increasing greenhouse gases by 21.7%.

Just a bit more one WHO caused that economic crash in the first place....

Walking back Fannie Mae's cat

In 1997 President Clinton's HUD secretary, a man named Andrew Cuomo, claimed Fannie Mae had exhibited "racial discrimination" and proposed that 50 percent of the GSEs' (Fannie and Freddie) loan portfolio be made up of loans to low- and moderate-income borrowers by 2001. Of the steps he took Wayne Barrett at the Village Voice observed: Continue

Still wondering...

"Where is the Congressional Investigation?"

- Me. Just now.

Anyone wondering why there hasn't been an investigation of Fannie Mae's collapse? You know, the one that took out AIG and Lehman? And helped collapse the financial system? And then touched off our current global recession?

Could it be because of THIS?

Or THIS?

Or THIS?

And let's just pray that Jamie Gorelick is named to lead the commission investigating this mess. There's no conflict of interest! Kinda like when she was a 9/11 Commissioner.

(And Dino is Gay! - the Republicans won't have to do what they did to Clinton. The entire US will throw his worthless a$$ out before he completes his first year for finishing what the Dems started doing to the economy. Trashing it!

It's the burden of trying to reason with people who operate solely from the brainstem. Higher level intellectual cognition is not part of the equation.

If carbon dioxide traps heat, then how is cold beer possible? We are going to have CO2 emission controls forced upon us unless we marshal massive public resistance. This will not occur until the public comes to accept that man made global warming is lie. This can not be achieved by arguing the nuances of climate science. This can only be achieved by getting the public to understand that CO2 does not trap heat, thus making a lie of all the other claims. If carbon dioxide traps heat, then how can icy cold Coca Cola exist? Every Coors, Bud, Miller, and Pepsi advertisement should be our ally for getting the public to see the truth about the lie.
