Greedy Idiot Sues McDonald's for His Having Left Dirty Pictures of His Wife There

Question: Whose fault is it if you have nude photos of your wife on your cell phone, and you leave the phone in a McDonald's, resulting in lewd calls and text messages and the photos appearing online?

Answer: It's the fault of McDonald's, because big corporations have lots of money to be looted.

Phillip Sherman of Fayetteville, Arkansas is suing for a humble $3 million. Imagine how much it might have been if he had spilled hot coffee on the phone.

On a tip from conservativeteen.

wtf?

oh somebody help me i'm not responsible for my own actions!

i hope judge and jury laugh them out of the courtroom and they have to pay court costs.

Our society is so juvenile. Blaming others for your errors is what six year olds do.

Just once I'd like to see a judge dismiss a frivolous lawsuit and demand the plaintiff pay ALL court costs, including the defendents.
I spent $30K and a year in court to keep custody of my grandkids, the same court that granted me custody in the first place!

To be fair, he had asked the restaurant to keep it safe for him once he realised he'd left it behind.

Was she at least a babe? We need tort reform. These couch potatoes want everything for nothing. Fat ass should have gotten a $5 for a foot lond Subway sandwich.

Archonix is right, as usual. Still, the burden of security fell on the guy, not McDonald's. They could have (apparently should have) refused to commit, but rather say they'd see what they could do.

In any case, if they'd secured his phone, he owed them big time for that save. If they didn't, it's on him, not them.

yes, archonix may be right, but what happened with the phone between the time they left it and it was found or turned in?

i know our two teens can snap a photo and send it to another phone or p.c. in nothing flat.

Yeah, despite what I said, 3 mil for this is a bit daft.

I wouldn't keep nudie photos of my wife on my phone anyway. I have a proper camera for that. :D

Wow, why didn't I think of this! What a country! Why work when you can have some big corporation hand you millions of bucks for leaving your phone on the table, spilling semi-hot coffee on yourself, etc. Hello, "slip-and-fall" lawyers -- I need one of you now! Let me think up a scenario where I can get mega-$ and I'll call you right back . . .

Posted by: jc14 at November 24, 2008 4:11 PM

Oh, I so wanna see the big corporation crush the little guy this time around.

we have become a nation of instant gratification (money) (more Money) and even (more money) what in the h has this got to do with him being the one negligent in leaving the phone there in the first place . You see that is the liberal way, "rights with out any of the responsibilities that come with those rights . What was he thinking to have those pictures on his cell phone, they are easier hacked then computers.
