Global Warming Hoaxers Caught Pushing Cooked Data Again

Lest you're ever tempted to believe the liberal establishment's shrill lies about the nonexistent climate crisis:

A surreal scientific blunder last week raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming. On Monday, Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which is run by Al Gore's chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.
This was startling. Across the world there were reports of unseasonal snow and plummeting temperatures last month, from the American Great Plains to China, and from the Alps to New Zealand. China's official news agency reported that Tibet had suffered its "worst snowstorm ever". In the US, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month, and ranked it as only the 70th-warmest October in 114 years.

The GISS got the alarming numbers it wanted by carrying over some temperatures from the previous month. As even Al Gore probably knows, September tends to be warmer than October.

Hansen et al. were caught out not by the increasingly irrelevant mainstream media, but by the blogs Watts Up With That and Climate Audit. The GISS's response was to discover a new "hotspot" in the Arctic — despite the fact that sea ice there is 30% more extensive than it was at this point last year.

Al Gore's creepy friend Hansen has been milking the global warming hoax for a pretty penny. He and his taxpayer-financed henchmen have been caught using phony data before. To give an idea of his political leanings, Hansen has called for the arrest of oil company execs on charges of global warming denial.

A GISS spokesliar whines that his agency doesn't have the resources to do quality control on the data it receives. This same bogus data is used by the UN to hype the media into a frenzy over the imaginary global warming catastrophe.

The entire farce has operated on the Big Lie theory that people will believe a spectacularly preposterous lie if you repeat it often enough. But in accordance with Abraham Lincoln's theory that you can't fool all of the people all of the time, there will continue to be resistance to this insidious bureaucratic power grab, hopefully even after global warming denial really is illegal.

Coldest early Autumn on record, across the globe, yet we're getting "warmer." How about we arrest weasels like Hansen instead of oil company execs (who at least provide us with something we can use), tar & feather him, and ride him out of town on a rail (used to work beautifully, til the PC-er's took over our lives -- sure as hell wouldn't see little Jimmy The Liar 'round these parts again, now, would you?).

A GISS spokesliar whines that his agency doesn't have the resources to do quality control on the data it receives.

That's quit an admission. No for-profit company would sacrifice quality control to advocate data of any kind, and expect to stay in business. We have an enormous industry of state, federal as well as internationally-harmonized regulatory requirements to insure this.
Yet here we have an organization in the GISS that presumes to change the world economy based on falsified data supporting an unfalsifiable hypothesis.

How long will it take before people begin to realize that virtually everything that comes from the liberal establishment, or a liberal, should be automatically expected to be 100% false.

The Law of Unintended Consequences is as important a law as Murphy's law. Besides Murphy was a raving optomist!

The Law of Unintended Consequences is a terrible plague to Democrats. I am sure they had some vague idea of Change and Hope when they backed Obama. The follow Al Gore like demented lemmings because his heart is "good" and guys like Hanson are whores who just want money. But the consequences of these things lead to nightmare messes.

Here's a brief history of how when liberals and others try to do good--bad things happen.

To save a few raptors from the horrors of DDT they worked tirelessly to ban it. It got banned and now insect borne diseases have killed millions in the tropics all over the globe for years.

When liberals decided that there was global warming (at least became the most vocal champions of it), they talked large sections of Africa and other areas into not developing their natural resources of oil and gas. They wanted Africa to depend on wind and solar power or just not develop. So now vast areas of Africa are without electricity. This curtails education, industry, and modern conveniences such as clean water and basic hygiene. The policy guarantees poverty for millions--all to make liberals feels good.

When liberals decided that genetically modified animals and crops were some how tainted, they spread this information to a large part of the developing world. As a result there is wide spread hunger and famine. Crops that could grow are not allowed or strongly discouraged. It makes liberals feel good, but it kill thousands and thousands of people in a very unpleasant way--starvation. The amusing part of all this is that we get some of the same liberals who have contributed to this disaster, hugging starving children and looking into a camera and begging you to please save the children.

The use of corn for fuel has led to high food prices. This is a crazy idea since we have enormous resources of oil that could be tapped. But some farmers in Iowa and some ethanol producers have lobbied and won concessions from our politicians to push ethanol and soybeans for fuel production. Again, food prices all over the world have increased out of the reach of some people unless they get government handouts and Brazil is burning down its rainforests to make biofuel. Keeping oil in the ground is killing people and damaging the environment.

The protection of endangered species act is also a lot of fun. Until this act landowners would go out of their way if they had scrap land or stands of trees to provide for animals or plants that might be rare. Now people come in and tell the landowners that they can't use the land because of the presence of these things. A landowner now carries a shovel and a pair of binoculars with him. If he sees anything that looks like an endangered species that nobody knows is there, he uses the binoculars to make sure nobody is watching and then kills whatever it is and buries it. He also makes damn sure he burns any cover that might attract such things and sprays all the scrap land so no rare plants grow. If he gets a chance he also drains any wetlands. This is not out any vicious way on his part--he can lose most of the value of his property if endangered things are discovered on it.

We could visit labor unions that for the good of the working man has increased wages and health benefits for some. They have also driven millions of jobs out of this country. As a result our balance of trade is slanted towards China to the extent that it is putting our national security at risk. Great jobs for the few--no jobs at all for the many. That's a Liberal slogan. Currently, the UAW is standing on the inert bodies of Ford, GM, and Chrysler and because they still can detect a feeble pulse have announced they will not negotiate.

Hybrid cars use batteries. The batteries need nickel. Nickel comes from places like Sudbury, Ontario. The pollution was making the whole area look as dead as the moon so they make the smoke stacks higher. Now they have stuff coming down all over the far North. And it is not good stuff. http://www.osti.gov/energycitations/product.biblio.jsp?osti_id=6645836 http://www.enterstageright.com/archive/articles/0500nickel.htm

The Shah of Iran was attacked by American Liberals for abuses of power. Although he was a friend of the US, Jimmy Carter did a job on him and popular uprising overthrew the Shah's government. Boy, has that worked out great. We had an immediate enemy in a large powerful country and a war between Iraq and Iran that led to what is going on now in the whole region. If you look at the genesis of this whole mess, a lot of it tracks back to liberals trying to do the right things. It is always such a surprise to them when the Law of Unintended Consequences bites them in the butt.

I haven't heard, did they ever remove their sensors from parking lots and from behind air conditioners!? LOL It's a contest to see how long they can go without ever haveing to tell the truth...

Man-Made Global Warming is a cottage industry that has billions in government handouts at risk. If they admit man/CO2 emissions are anything but a tiny factor in the cause of the small amount of warming that has occurred, their grant money dries up faster than glass of water on a 125 degree day in Phoenix in August.

Is the "UnFairness Doctrine" already a law, or has the "Obama Civilian Patrol" been working trying to crash this site?

Seems it's been down more than up today, or is it just my connection that's having problems? I am in MA afterall and maybe devil patrick is censoring the internet now.

When does this Hansen person have time to do the job for which he is drawing a government paycheck? You would think that between Space Station construction, Shuttle retirement and Orion/Ares design and development, the director of the Goddard Spaceflight Research Center would have little time for extracurricular activities.

Since when have silly liberals been swayed by (or cared about) facts?

The typical liberal's life is based on fantasy. Reality doesn't fit into their scheme of things.

James hansen is a snake oil salesman trying to sell a pholoniuus and possibly dangerous drug to america and the world that ftacts are he has used computer simulations and outright fabrications to sell this whole global warming lie to the public and stealing from the public till as well

Hansen looks like the TALL MAN from the PHANTASM movies - a dead ringer.

What about those in the ManMade Oil and Coal industries, some of who are seeing record profits. They wouldn't have any reasons to propagate the idea that there is no such thing as G.W. now, would they...? nooooo They would, of course, immediatly admit it if they saw that it was true and change their ways, even if it meant less profit, because big business is good and is our friend and government and those who work on grants from the government, for how much -a few hundred of thousand? ...are the enemy

Duuhhhhh!

Hey! Obama is going to take your guns away! My Uncle, who owns a gun store, and sells guns and would like to sell more guns says so.... and he would know... better go by a bunch more guns now before it's too late.

"What about those in the ManMade Oil and Coal industries, some of who are seeing record profits.'
~They also employ hundreds of thousands of people and reinvest millions of dollars a year in the economy. Let's punish them for making so much money!

"They wouldn't have any reasons to propagate the idea that there is no such thing as G.W. now, would they...?"
~They definitely have a vested interest in funding research, especially considering the evidence in support of AGW is dubious, at best. While we're discussing motives, would you care to do some research into Al Gore's little carbon credit company?

"nooooo They would, of course, immediatly admit it if they saw that it was true and change their ways, even if it meant less profit, because big business is good and is our friend and government and those who work on grants from the government, for how much -a few hundred of thousand? ...are the enemy"
~I wouldn't be such a simpleton that I'd break this down into a struggle between our allies and "enemies," but I do think it's worth noting that if AGW turns out to be one big myth based on faulty science, as I believe it to be, a whole industry will go bankrupt. AGW is an industry; don't forget it. It's not hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake here, it's hundreds of billions. You'd have to be an idiot not to see the monetary motives behind AGW hysteria, but I suspect you are that idiot.

"Duuhhhhh!"
~Appropriate

"Hey! Obama is going to take your guns away! My Uncle, who owns a gun store, and sells guns and would like to sell more guns says so.... and he would know... better go by a bunch more guns now before it's too late."
~The logistics of rounding up all the existing guns in the country are mind-boggling. I don't believe for a second that Obama is going to try to "take my guns away." I do, however, believe he will do everything within his power to make it more and more difficult to obtain them in the future, along with ammunition. Do you know why I think this? Because I listened to his speeches and I read what he's said on the topic, in his own words, sans outside interpretation. Looking at his voting record, I know for a fact that he wants more restrictions on the gun trade. It's obvious. The only way you could believe otherwise would be if you thought he was lying every single time he spoke about the subject. I believe he's a liar, but I also believe he's actually been consistent on this point. Obama will make it more difficult to obtain firearms, and anyone with common sense has stopped putting off their purchases and are buying their guns now.

Now, as an obvious hippy liberal douche, I imagine you don't like the idea of guns and people owning them. You probably think gun owners and enthusiasts are a bunch of low-life rednecks. So be it. But remember this: it doesn't matter what you think. We have a right to own them and any amount of screeching on your part cannot change that. Sit on it and spin.

What about those in the ManMade Oil and Coal industries, some of who are seeing record profits. (question mark)

The movie industry sees bigger profits while putting out unentertaining crap.
Movies: 15% profits
Oil and Gas: 8-9% profits

The thing no one wants to talk about, fires, both natural and bigger the agricultural fires. Now you can see what the satellite sees courtesy of a mashup called "Fire Mapper" at http://firefly.geog.umd.edu/firemap/

You will shocked at what you find out. If you want details, MODIS has the actual satellite photo capability.

bill.

Excellent point and one that I've made as well in discussions with brainwashed students. That is probably one map the liberal National Geographic regrets publishing.

These are basically wildfires, out of control and contributing enormously to carbon and particulate atmospheric pollution.

But its only the politically-correct pollution generated by the ever dwindling and progressively-cleaner U.S. industries that obsesses the pea-sized minds of environmentalists...liberals who have insipid interests in weather, undisguised interests in the impoverishment of the U.S., and insatiable interests in capitalizing on the sham.

Why would it matter if oil and gas companies were making a profit or losing money (as they did in the late 1990s). It wouldnt, if CO2 were actually a real problem.

Volcanos are huge source of socalled global warming gasses - better cap them!

Fact of the matter is that governments around the world arent going to cripple their economies to pay tribute to Global Warming hysterics. Many will pay lip service (called Greenwashing by the econuts) to it by token cuts in CO2 emissions but in the end it wont matter as the "problem" is 99% hype created by the Watermellons - Green on the outside, Red on the inside.

The watermellons want us to live in a world resembling Orwell's 1984 - where only the elite have access to power and heat, while the masses freeze in the dark unable to afford expensive alternative power.

Hansen is Gore's Tool.

However, to associate his intentional fraud as being political gives him too much credit. He's only doing it for his own ego.

He's just trying to extend his 15 minutes of fame long enough to hope that the new administration will notice him.

However, because of his being caught with open lies to the world science community, the new administration will probably find that he is a huge liability and can him.

Besides, he is not a minority, so he is double screwed.

The technology is there, and affordable once mass production takes effect.

The danger is real.

Isn't better safe than sorry a conservative idea?

"The technology is there, and affordable once mass production takes effect."
~What on earth are you talking about? Mass production of what? Solar panels? Wind turbines? Hydroelectric dams? Gnomes on bikes? Besides, we're talking about powering the entire grid here, not your cell phone.

"The danger is real."
~From what? Certainly not global warming. Even if it did exist in the way Gore fantasizes, the only danger would be from the incredible abundance of drinking water and crop yields. On the other hand, global cooling poses very real dangers. That's why I have a big wood pile out back burning right now, and I'm letting my truck idle for another 20 minutes or so. Gotta do my part right?

"Isn't better safe than sorry a conservative idea?"
~Sure, unless you're talking about hamstringing the economy to force unproven and inefficient technologies on people in the name of saving ourselves from dangers that don't exist. That idea falls more on the Chicken Little liberal side.

He will no longer be able to hide behind the "Bush Administration and Griffen" are out to get me argument.

He is a White Liberal Tool (WLT) and is toast at NASA after Obama is in office.

That is how the politics work.
