THIS is what you are worried about?

It's about the economy stupid! You aren't going to have a job or a home next year regardless of who is president.

We are entering a depression the likes of which we have never seen before. Life as we know it IS over but not because of who will be elected.

The damage has been done.

Even during the Depression 75%-85% of people still had jobs. Things could that bad if Obama starts a trade war and raises taxes the way Hoover did. But its not like nobody of even just half the people wont have jobs. Everyone is going to be homeless? Hardly. In fact Obama will probably take abandoned houses and hand them over to the poor.

Nonetheless, if Obama wins at the very least we are looking at Carter: The Sequel. In fact Carter will probably have a place in his administration.

And your point in repeating this like a mantra? You're trying to convince us it doesn't matter so we may as well stay home, while you and the rest of the koolaid drinkers go vote for the messiah? Not gonna happen. Try again, or rather don't, as your type gets tiresome and we can always see right through you.

Why it's not gonna happen: you see, what's done is done and we can't turn back the clock. If it had gone our way all along it wouldn't have happened, but now... We can do the right thing, or the wrong thing, or if not exactly the right thing at least the less wrong thing. There are degrees of worse, and if we can do less worse we should. Do what you will, so will we. Worry, though, there appears to be a lot of dark matter in the universe of this election, and good reason to think much of it is people like us.

What you trolls don't seem to understand is that every time you show up on sites like this where there are so many strongly conservative readers and spew your same, old crap over and over, all it does is make us stronger in our beliefs. It unites us and lets us know that we're striking a nerve somewhere on the left.

I assume many of us never really came to this site to try and convince the outside world of anything because the voice of the left is so loud in the mainstream media that we don't have as effective a voice about the things we believe.

I believe this site serves as a source of information about what the left is up to in this country, and it serves as a focal point for like-minded conservatives. This isn't a forum on some centrist website... this is a gathering place for those of us who are concerned with what the left has been doing and will be doing in the future.

Your tactics don't work here.

They don't make us mad. They don't make us want to give up. They don't make us change our minds.

They are just annoying little pips and squeaks that are easily ignored.
