A few days ago I tried to express a little optimism after the Republican (actually RINO) defeat.

In view of the recent reports of thuggery and bailout-mania empowered by the crowning of our new ruler, I'm not yet retracting my optimism; I am, however, preconditioning it on the intactness of the Second Amendment. As long as Americans have their guns, there's hope (hope in the true sense of the word). If, however, the Second Amendment is made void and the guns are yanked away from the citizens of this brave and free land, then I'll know America has ceased being The Beautiful and joined Europe in being under Marxist-Islamic serfdom.

There is nothing more important for the continued well-being of the American Republic than the Second Amendment. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I grew up in Chicago. We have a large black population there. Most are 'ordinary' folks. There are a couple of sections of the city where even the cops don't go, but on a percentage basis, black folks are okay to get along with.

However here in the Twin Cities it seems we have collected mostly morally, ethically, and mentally challenged blacks. I don't know of any 'black' neighborhoods that are middle or upper class. Minneapolis has two areas that are free-fire zones full of drug dealers and every other disfunction attributed to minority slums. Apparently these students are local. One day they're going to pick on some black belt lady who'll chop-socky their butts into a hospital bed.

I guarantee that when these creeps go out into the work world they will be failures, but it won't be their crappy attitudes. No, it'll be racism. Of course.

I have never been able to understand why it appears that everyone can achieve if they want to achieve in the U.S, but the majority of nasty continuous crimes (gang related in particular) seems to have some 'black American' connotation, or else immigrant involvement.

We don't seem to have the same politically motivated agression here in Oz, but I can tell you that once the Democrats start doing there thing (just like our Labor Party here) you will experience no end of 'spin doctoring', 'blaming the previous government', 'blaming "the world economic situation"', oh, and 'global warming/ climate change' for reasons why they change policies.

And by the way, were you aware that the Australian government now wants to place a national filter on 'unwanted websites. Yep, you guessed it, nationalised censorship...

Are you one of those people who think that "blacks" are so stupid and incompetent that they must depend on government handouts and special laws that benefit THEM only?

Increased crime and ghetto-ization of blacks was directly related to an increase in organized white crime. When the Italians, Cubans, Hell's Angels, maffias and gangs etc started becoming more violent and getting into more dangerous avenues, they were very keen to keep in out of their own communities. They didn't want the drugs, the prostitution, the gun running, etc to poison their own towns- a "don't shit where you eat" mentality. But there was always one group of people they didn't care if they ruined...the blacks. As a result, the white crime lords made money off of peddling the most dangerous avarices to blacks. When the black gang lords started taking power, they had no such grievances about keeping things out of their community...they viewed the ghetto as ruined anyways, might as well make the most of it.

Of course this is a reason, not an excuse. Look at the Jews. Any time they were served with progroms, oppression, ghetto-ization, even the Holocaust, they always bounced back better than ever. They never used their oppression as an excuse not to excell. They have thrived despite their hardships.

I fear the rural white community is starting to go down the road many black communities went down. Methamphetamine is devastating towns in the rural midwest, and crime, as a result, is on the rise at an alarming rate. The meth dealers have no problem ruining their own communities and dealing to their friends and neighbors. Where will it end?

It is really unfortunate. When the rap movement first started in the 80s, it mostly revolved trying to encourage young people to NOT embrace ghetto life, and instead reach for something more. It referred to ghetto culture as a BAD thing, not something "cool" to embrace. Now it's become all about embracing and glorifying ghetto culture. Don't forget plenty of promotion of violence and murder, too, with rappers saying something like, "Shoot dat n**ga dead!" every 5- 10 seconds.

When my family was on a long car trip a couple years ago, my younger brother who has some of the worst taste in music I've ever come across (i.e. gangsta rap, nauseating underground punk rock) insisted on putting on a rap CD by I think 50 Cent while he drove. On one of the songs, literally every 8 seconds or so, you'd hear the sound of a gun cocking and firing two shots. Hearing that, all I could think of was an old friend of mine, a real good kid with a bright future ahead of him, who was killed the previous year in a botched carjacking before he could even graduate high school by a punk who wanted his car and wallet (Don't worry, the cops got the little prick, and he was given 2 life sentences). Hearing that sound repeated over and over again in that hideous song just reminded me of what the true legacy of the "Ghetto" rap culture will be: A lot of good people dead, and a lot of other lives ruined.

Yeah, something like that. Or to be more precise, without the satire aspect - since the stories here are in fact provided by reputable mainstream media outlets and Van Helsing merely gives his viewpoint to the news.

Any time you could support your dissent to the content of the site by pointing out where errors of fact or analysis have been made, that would be just fan-tastic.

You're not kidding. Did you ever think it would come to pass that a person could be denoted as racist based on their skin colour? Yeah, it happened, check Van's archives.

Now, if you do not want something, but a black person wants it for him and for you, to oppose it is to commit a racist act.

We can tell when you're LYING. Even if you're not, you Liberals have screamed "moral equivilency" for so long, there is no reason to believe anything you say.

If somebody injects this racist, sexist, bigotted junk into the work place, it is essential that the boss notes who and when. The first chance after that is to nail the person for every possible thing the boss can at the next review. (You wouldn't want to handle a review like that without rubber gloves.)

If the violation is overt or against clearly stated policy--then fire the person for cause.

Under no circumstance should such a person ever be promoted or given any opportunity to grow or advance. They should not be a supervisor of even one individual. If they demonstrate this kind of behavior and you can't get rid of them, their career should be over--even if they don't know it for years.
