Boobs Who Ruined Michigan Called in to Advise Obama

Thanks to a state government long run by moonbats, the economy of Michigan is on life support. The vicious cycle of liberal policies suppressing the economy, making more people dependent on the government so that they will elect fools and villains to inflict more liberal policies, has produced a permanent recession that worsens with every passing year.

So naturally the Obama team has signed up these fools and villains to provide advice on how to impose the same condition on the rest of the country:

Gov. Jennifer Granholm and former U.S. Rep. David Bonior will serve on a panel of financial luminaries and corporate experts advising President-elect Barack Obama on the nation’s hard-bitten economy, ensuring Michigan, its troubled auto industry and labor has a seat at the table.

Bonior is described as "long an ally of organized labor" — the main cause of the decline of our auto industry, which is taking Detroit and the rest of Michigan down with it. Granholm is a Berkeley-educated Canadian socialist who has responded to economic ruin by raising taxes while the state hands out free iPods.

It all makes perfect sense, if you don't object to our standard of living crashing through the floor. Why wouldn't the most liberal Senator want the country to look like its most liberal city? More to the point: What chance does a Republican have of being elected in Detroit? The same will go for America as a whole before Obamunists are finished destroying it.

Detroit, the model for Chairman O's Change.

Detroit had a forty year head start on Obamunism. I would love for one of our Obama Cultist trolls to explain (or confess) why it hasn't achieved utopia.

Its no accident that the blue states tend to be the ones with the worst economies, while the red states tend to ones that are growing and weathering the economic storm better.

Its also why so many coporations are moving factories to the south. Of course, if card check passes, the blight of states like Michigan, Illionis and Pennsylvania will spread thoughout America like a cancer.

The only chance for avoiding disaster is if Obama breaks 90% of his campaign promises. The people he's chose so far indicate theres little chance of that. Change? Picking leftist political hacks?

As they say, the more things CHANGE the more they stay the same - particularly in Washington.

If you want to measure Obamas effectiveness, just look at his old stomping grounds, Southside of Chicago.

One must laugh when Michigan runs TV commercials trying to recruit businesses to relocate.

What can that state possibly offer a business? Its a wonder there are any remaining there at all.

The Michigan formula for economic "success" has three legs:

1. Tax the hell out of everyone and everything in sight.

2. Give the unions everything they demand.

3. Give tax incentives to a few crony businesses in order to keep them in the state.

This is how Jennifer Granholm can crow about keeping 600 jobs at Dow Chemical the same year her state lost 60,000 jobs elsewhere.

Ah, Detroit, otherwise known as Mogadishu West.

Better yet, Anon.: "Michigan, Darfur of the West." Used to live in MI (Kalamazoo, Battle Creek area, even went to grad school (MBA) at Western Michigan Univ. -- fine school (at least, back in the mid-70's)). Loved to visit Detroit, Ann Arbor, Dearborn, et al. -- wouldn't go anywhere near any of those places these days (at least not heavily armed and armored, or carrying a Koran in plain sight).

Yet Obambi wants Granholm and her various idiot friends to "advise" him on the country's ailing economy -- a smoke-screen, pretty much, since he wants this economic chaos, loves it in fact, in order to impose more top-down, centralized control on all of life in this country. Granholm and the other dolts will insure its continuation, and exacerbation . . .

Oblabla is also proposing eco-nut extraordinaire, Robert Kennedy, Jr., for head of the EPA. Get ready for draconian measures to regulate industry's output of the oh-so deadly pollutant, carbon dioxide.

I'd love to buy my family's farm in Michigan, but I just don't think it's a place I can move back to.

A QUESTION FOR LIBERALS:

Does Obama's choices REALLY make sense to you?

Posted by: KHarn at November 7, 2008 4:17 PM

I think Jenny Granholm is really explaining how to get re-elected after majorly tanking an economy. The O is going to need that advice.

Posted by: V the K at November 7, 2008 8:30 PM

Actually, I feel pretty damn good about this. Unless Americans are a helluva lot dumber than I think they are, 2010 is gonna be banner year for Republicans.

I live in Michigan and let me say the best recipe for Republican success is letting the Obamanistas go wild. After two years of grandholm like policies the fickle electorate that gave Obama this victory will be calling for a recall. Always remember that this election was a vote on Bush by people mainly under 25 who had been targeted by a 8 year propaganda machine to convince them that Republicans and conservatives are evil. Our greatest moment, The election of Ronald Reagan was caused by a similar moment. We will rise again, in Michigan and nationally.

You're a bit more optimistic than I am, phoenix. Michigan re-elected the idiots Jenny Granholm and Debbie Stabenow. And Carl Lenin has been a senator since I was in Keds. It's quite possible, based on this last election, that the Democrats have succeeded in dumbing down the rest of the country to Detroit levels.

I honestly am impatient to be January 20th. I will cherish every single day tat goes by where Obama disappoints his base, makes the independents who thought "what the Heck?? I'll go for the black guy" dread and feel shame for the support they offered at the ballot box.

I will love every second of it. Because that, combined with a republican party that purges its moderates will spell total victory in 2012.

Posted by: AC at November 8, 2008 7:33 AM

My sentiments exactly, AC. I also, however, am quite disturbed by how far back this will set race relations.

You'd think that electing the first black POTUS would be a great step forward, and that's how the One's followers see it at this moment. After he proves to be a dismal disappointment on every front (foreign policy of appeasement, economy ala Carter, "changing" our national security to nothing more than "hoping" we don't get attacked, etc.), the electorate will have a hard time voting for another black man. Sad, that this particularly rotten apple will color political discourse. I suppose what I mean to say is that I sincerely hope that, as the masses realize that they were idiots for voting for a black man simply because he's black, they don't get it set in their minds to NOT vote for someone because he's black (or white, yellow, or pinstriped for that matter). Obama may be the first black POTUS, but he's also probably the last black POTUS I'll see in my lifetime. Sad.

To echo your sentiment, AC, I think after a couple of years of dems manning the ship of state with Obama at the helm, when the mid-term elections are upon us a lot of people will be quoting Rory Breaker from "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels":

"...but if the milk turns out to be sour, I ain't the kind of pussy to drink it. Know what I mean?"

Posted by: hiram at November 8, 2008 9:08 AM

Actually this may be a giant step backward for race relations. There are so many of the Koolaid drinkers that are "expecting" something, and are going to be very forward in their expectations and, frankly, demands, that those they are demanding from will have quite enough of it. Expect a backlash.

I believe Michigan's failure can best be explained by the hiring of Rich Rodriguez.
