A Bee in the Mouth

Ed Driscoll on the angry left:

Come January, moonbats will have near total control of the federal government. Whether that sates their rage or gives them the opportunity to express it at last remains to be seen.

On a tip from V the K.

Ahhh, but there is a silver lining here. The Moonbats are getting Moonbatty-er with rage...AT OBAMA NOW!

You heard right (and I do mean "right"). Between the Clintonista appointments (left-leaning to be sure, but not "Soros" left and definitely Beltway insiders), fiscal moderates (liberal to be sure, but WAY more center than expected), backing off on cap gains and other tax increases (at least for the next two years), and worst of all HOLDING OVER ROBERT GATES...well, the "MoveOn" crowd feels positively betrayed! OOOH BOY ARE THEY ANGRY, and I'm loving every minute of it!

Yep, Obama is a new breed of politician: say anything to get elected, then do anything to stay in power. THE LEFT WANTED CHANGE? THEY GOT IT ALRIGHT! "O" has changed just about every position and promise...and changed TOWARDS THE CENTER! Fred Barnes (hardly a liberal) on The Fox Report even said that (so far) the big winners seem to be THE MODERATE RIGHT!

Sure, "O" is going to do some left-wing stuff, but at least for two years he will be WAY more centerist than anyone thought. After that...very important...he's tipped his hand that he'll move to the middle if the pressure is on him. WE NOW HAVE A WAY TO KEEP THIS FROM TURNING INTO THE SOVIET UNION! The man is a political animal, not a saint. He'll bend to public pressure like they all do! (He also tipped that he'll even buck Pelosi-Reid on a lot of the more loony issues).

So: If we'd have gotten McCain, HE would have been running scared of the left and maybe (just maybe) handed us more trouble than "O". Now, we just keep the pressure ratcheted up, stand for conservative principles, pray that Georgia stays Republican...and the left CAN'T SAY A DAMN THING, since they got THE MAN they fought so hard for!

NEWT 2012, baby!

The angry left? Look at your blog! How can you talk about the angry left with a serious look on your face any more? All of your rants here over Obama winning aren't angry?

No. No. No. No. No. Come January 20th, we libs get to sit and watch you guys (like we're doing right now) and tell you how Anti-American, unpatriotic, treasonous, disrespectful, and angry you are about our new president.

Now, it's our turn to poke and laugh as you guys cry, moan, groan, whine, and rant angrily all over the place losing the buttons on your shirts. This is the new official seal of the Republican party. LOL

OOOH BOY ARE YOU GUYS ANGRY, and I'm loving every minute of it! :D

You Liberals now have to FIX EVERYTHING you think is wrong! You can't just sit back and expect US to do the work for you.

Welcome to REALITY, chump.

Come January 20th, we libs get to sit and watch you guys (like we're doing right now) and tell you how Anti-American, unpatriotic, treasonous, disrespectful, and angry you are about our new president.

Hmmm, I thought you libs have been spending the last eight years squealing that dissent is the highest form of patriotism.

But I can guarantee you, we will not be rooting for the enemy, nor will we be gloating whenever an American soldier is killed, nor will we be fighting to make it harder for our troops to fight terrorists and easier for terrorists to kill Americans ... like you on the left have been doing lo' these many years.

And since Chairman 0 seems to be co-opting most of Bush's anti-terror policies, seems to be determined to outspend Bush massively, and seems to be having second thoughts on repealing the tax cuts... it would seem your side is admitting that Bush was right all along. That must burn you worse than anything I or anyone else could say.

Posted by: V the K at November 27, 2008 7:07 PM

To be fair, didn't the liberals gain control of the government due to the mismanagement by the conservatives?

And I agree with Virgo. The anger here is quite high. Much worse than anything we've seen since the Clinton years. It's like some of can't accept that you don't always get to be in charge.

One of you says the liberals have to fix things. Is that an admission that the republicans broke it?

The angry left? Look at your blog! How can you talk about the angry left with a serious look on your face any more? All of your rants here over Obama winning aren't angry?

Not about him winning, no. That's legitimate concern. About the behaviour of moonbats like yourself who for the last eight years have been screaming about how the president is hitler and his supporters are the gestapo, but all of a sudden expect everyone to support your guy now or be declared a traitor. Oh and of course we're pretty mad at your in-the-tank media who have now deined to actually come out and admit outright that they favored Obama and basically bought him the win. Yeah I guess you could say we're a bit pissed off overall. But on the other hand you don't see us screaming about impeachment, hanging drawing and quartering, and frogmarching political leaders to the Hague for doing stuff we disagree with; nor do you see us ranting and raving over how your economic ideology is dead and gone and good riddance to it even though the facts are on our side when blaming you lot for the economic crisis. Oh, and nor do you see us trolling lefty blogs venting whatever injustice we thought we'd suffered by not getting our way in an election. All that sh!t is your schtick so it'd be nice if you could just own your own hangups instead of trying to project them, cheers.

No. No. No. No. No. Come January 20th, we libs get to sit and watch you guys (like we're doing right now) and tell you how Anti-American, unpatriotic, treasonous, disrespectful, and angry you are about our new president.

Hahahahahahaha.. Disrespectful?? What happened to dissent being the highest form of patriotism? And please, oh please do, name one thing that Obama has ever done in his entire life that we should respect him for. Go on, try it.

Now, it's our turn to poke and laugh as you guys cry, moan, groan, whine, and rant angrily all over the place losing the buttons on your shirts.

Yeah, that's a totally accurate portrayal of.. Oh, wait, you're the ones crying, moaning, groaning, ranting angrily about treason and disrespect and basically sh!tting all over other people's blogs. Even though you got what you wanted. You got what you'd been whining and crying for and claiming everyone else was hitler or a nazi because you weren't getting for the last eight years. YOU WON and yet the best use you can think of for your time is to hang around here saying basically exactly the same things as you used to before your guy got elected. Get a fricking life. Go out and sign up for the army-sized domestic security force or something.

OOOH BOY ARE YOU GUYS ANGRY, and I'm loving every minute of it! :D

Yeah we're totally just shaking with rage, can't you tell? That's why we're shitting all over other people's blogs with claims that they're unpatriotic and "disrespectful" of the race-hustlin' lawyer who pretty much had the election stolen on his behalf. OH WAIT no that's you who is doing that, not us. Does that much projection ever get tiring? Or do you lack the basic introspection to even realise you're doing it?

Posted by: virgomonkey at November 27, 2008 4:59 PM

To be fair, didn't the liberals gain control of the government due to the mismanagement by the conservatives?

Um no. The liberals gained control of the government via the strongest media bias to ever taint an election, as admitted by journalists themselves, by eight years of media and academia perpetuating a never-ending series of Big Lies about conservatives and the Bush administration, by your flat-out refusal to acknowledge anything but negative news out of Iraq to the point of literally ceasing Iraq war coverage when it became apparent that the US was winning, and by your guy being given a free pass to lie his head off to the public about "tax cuts" for the middle class that are never going to eventuate, and being given a free pass by the media to make the most outrageous claims and grievous errors on economic policy - and even the number of states there are in the G-ddamn union - and have them flushed down the memory hole by a media so in the tank for him - by their own admission - that they see it as their duty to "make this administration succeed."

That and the fact that conservatives didn't have a candidate in the race until McCain chose Palin.

The media and John McCain won this one for you, with a little help from ACRON; nothing and no-one else. Don't ever pretend otherwise.

And I agree with Virgo. The anger here is quite high.

You are more than welcome to leave and not come back if you don't like the environment. You can take Virgo with you. Do you people not have sites of your own where you can vent? Do you think that there could be a correllation at all between the presence of annoying douchey trolls showing up here and spewing out the same, exact, tired old talking points day after day after day, and refusing to engage in actual debate - and the level of anger you perceive?

Much worse than anything we've seen since the Clinton years.

Oh. I think you mis-worded that. What you meant to say was this: "The level of anger here ranges from mild annoyance to deep offence at the things my political allies say and do, and is based on reported facts and nothing more; unlike the anger that my political allies have directed at conservatives for the last eight years which was based on nothing more than conspiracy theories about fascist theocracies, lies about Iraq casualties, more conspiracy theories about motivations for the Iraq war, and countless other random disparate causes which are all united by the fact that none of them are based in reality. I am now perceiving a level of anger that I think I haven't seen since the Clinton years, but that is not due to any actual excessive or irrational emotion on the part of my political opposition, but due to the fact that as a narcissistic, self-absorbed, unthinking liberal sheep I am completely unable to comprehend that the behaviour of people who think like myself has been utterly heinous for the last eight years and far outweighs any negativity any conservative would ever be able to muster."

There, I fixed it for you.

It's like some of can't accept that you don't always get to be in charge.

Right. That must be why we spent the last eight years claiming elections were stolen and the president was illegitimate, and trying to impeach the president. Because it's US that can't accept we don't "get" to be in charge.

Nice use of language by the way; your unconcious assimilation of child-like concepts expressed in a child-like phrase - "get to be in charge" - sums up the level of thought behind your discourse very eloquently.

One of you says the liberals have to fix things. Is that an admission that the republicans broke it?

Um no. Again, I extend to a libtard troll the offer to look up concepts such as "redlining" and the Clinton policies on home loans on google and -in literally five minutes - find out what actually happened to cause the financial crisis, and who was behind it.

But then that would entail dealing with facts rather than baseless partisan blame-games, so I doubt you'd be up to the challenge.

Anyhow, and overlooking your disturbing lack of ability to comprehend a basic sentence, no-one on the right has any illusions about who broke what. But you on the left have been insisting it was us that did it and that you have the solution - so now it's time to put your money where your mouth is and actually fix it. And whatever the outcome of your economic idiocy, you've got no-one left to blame but yourselves - and even your media allies will be forced to admit this sooner or later. You can't fool all the people all of the time. So get on with the business of fixing the economy like you said you were going to do, and leave us the f*ck alone.

Whether that sates their rage or gives them the opportunity to express it at last remains to be seen.

The evidence so far would indicate option B.

The DU ran a thread a couple of days back in which people literally lament the fact that Obama is probably not going to repeal the Bush tax cuts (yet) so the rich won't immediately have to pay higher taxes. Moonbattery's troll population has exploded SINCE Obama won. Etc., etc., etc. Lefty moonbats are addicted to their anger and the endorphins that are released by the feeling of righteous outrage. They can't get that feeling anywhere else, not even by succeeding in the political sphere. Expect more of the same, and worse.

SQUAWK SQUAWK ive just about had enough of hearing about OBAMA im getting so tired of seeing his ugly mug and hearing about his these liberal idiots act like he is the messiah i mean its a wonder they have already decided to place his ugly mug on MT RUSHMORE although it would be a dishonor to those already imortalized there

ANY of you out there that has chosen the Snake Oil Salesman puking mindless buzzwords and has brought the country nothing but more Chicago scum politics and fraud over the MAN that spent 5 1/2 years in a Vietnamese hellhole for his country needs to take a LONG HARD look at your values - because you really don't have any and are a shame to your country. Some of the geniuses that voted against their country and now come here to gloat over trashing it:

Spurwing - they wanted a national holiday to mark his "historic" election. Despite the fact that he has yet to achieve a single thing either in his career to date or as "President-elect." Oh, besides being born with more melanin in his skin.

But Bush who created democracy in two (2) middle eastern nations despite almost universal condemnation from the rest of the world, is the "worst president ever," hitler, a chimpanzee, the village idiot, etc.

Posted by: mandible claw at November 28, 2008 1:42 AM

Well done as usual, Mandible Claw.

I'd only add in the form of a question to Yoda... who broke Detroit? The liberal left has had uncontested control of that city for over forty years and it is a complete hellhole. For that matter, who broke New Jersey? Who broke Buffalo? Who broke Philadelphia? Who broke Cleveland?

In contrast, who fixed New York City after the liberals devastated it? Two words: Rudy Giuliani. Who fixed, or at least vastly improved, Florida's broken schools? Jeb Bush. Who fixed Wisconsin's broken welfare system? Republican Governor Tommy Thompson.

Meanwhile, Obama is using the governor of the state with the country's worst economy --- Michigan's Jenny Granholm --- as an economic adviser. Probably to learn how you can get re-elected after destroying an economy.

So, this "conservatives break things, liberals fix them" is typical way for a stupid person to break down a complex world in to a simple... and false ... dichotomy.

Posted by: V the K at November 28, 2008 7:50 AM

mandible claw, do you give debate lessons?

Posted by: conservativeteen at November 28, 2008 9:54 AM

I do believe the American people had a voice in this debate (one-sided since my rebuttals and those of others I'm sure, never show up posted) and they rejected the republicans soundly a month ago.

Cities don't create far-reaching economic policies, they are victims of them. And the economic policies of the last 30-40 years have conservative, supply-side written all over them.

I posted a bunch of links to legitimate sources as to why republicans are to blame for this mess but it didn't get posted. So then debating here for you is like fighting with your opponent's hands tied behind their back.

Good luck clawing your way out of the hole you are in. As this economic meltdown takes shape republicans will decline further in popularity.

Posted by: yoda at November 28, 2008 10:36 AM

Karl Rove praises Chairman 0's Economic Team. If lefties owned guns, they'd be eating them right now.

Posted by: V the K at November 28, 2008 10:46 AM

V the k,

Is it me or is The One moving more towards the center?

There will a lot of pissed of libs ot there if he is.

Could be a ploy.....he did lie a lot.

Posted by: Watching at November 28, 2008 11:16 AM

Funny...if I'm so angry, how come I feel just fine? I'm not asking anyone for impeachment, I don't want anyone killed, I haven't called anyone a monkey or Hitler or keyed anyone's car because of an Obama bumper sticker...in fact, I had a nice Thanksgiving dinner, thanked God for our great country and will continue to stand up and work for the things I believe in.

The left is already trying to spin their new Commander In Chief going "right" on them...notice that yoda and virgo never addressed the swerve to the center that O is taking. I guess they'll just ignore that and focus on what is important: personal attacks and smears of those they disagree with.

President Elect Obama is NOT going to give you people what you want. Two years (minimum) of center-ish, Clinton-ish governance. After that, he'll be movable on a lot of issues (he tipped his hand on that)...and we will be there in force to move him.

Will the new admin be more left that I want? Hell yes. But I think Obama may have pulled the biggest sleight of hand maneuver in political history, and all the "MoveOn"s and "DailyKos"s and low-wattage Hollywood types are blinking their eyes, looking confusedly around and not yet realizing they've been blind-sided. HE AIN'T WHO YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE VOTING FOR!

I can't wait to hear them somehow blame Bush, Cheney and Rove for this.

Posted by: matt at November 28, 2008 11:28 AM

Are Pissed yoda? Obama is getting ready to pull a fast one on the left. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!

Posted by: Watching at November 28, 2008 11:51 AM

Is it me or is The One moving more towards the center? There will a lot of pissed of libs ot there if he is.

If so, great. It means his presidency will be a disaster instead of a catastrophe. And best yet, we get to tease the lefties about Obama being Bush's third term. Win-win.

Posted by: V the K at November 28, 2008 12:33 PM

V the K,

I think he is moving towards the center for the moment. Lots of Clintonites. He is pissing off the radical left. They voted for change and boy are they going to get it!

Went to that Rosie site...those guys are out of their minds. They talk about hate on this site you should read some of the poison coming from them. Hypocrits all!

Are You mad because Obama is about to screw you as well?
Are you pissed because wall street investors are more at ease with THE ONES cabinet picks?
Please OH GREAT Dino I wish to know your meaningful insights to these simple questions.

PLEASE......I BEG OF YOU!

So Dino,

How was the turkey? Not to dry I hope. You know I posted a thread on here some days ago asking that you be allowed to post because you have freedom of speech rights as well. Are you old enough to remeber the TV adds from the national safety council commercials when they had the seat belt add? They used two crash test dummies for their spokes mascots. Their slogan was "you can learn a lot from a dummy". Well I beleive that this slogan applies to you to. Keep up the good work! I'm learning much about the evil left and their angry socialist views. TAKE TAKE TAKE! And you think you're going to get some. That remains to be seen now doesn't it?

Posted by: Watching at November 28, 2008 2:39 PM

OH! I'm so DISHEARTENED. I'm so SUICIDAL! I guess I won't go out and work hard like I always do, and try to build myself a better life. I guess I'll just wait for the government to do it for me!

Dino, I'll ask it again: if I'm so self-deluded and bitter and whistling past the graveyard, how come I feel so good? Why do I keep seeing the liberals rending their garments and gnashing their teeth? Why do I think that Obama, liberal that he certainly is, has pulled the fast-one of all time on you guys?

You all just don't get it. Never will, it seems. I will support Mr. Obama if he does things I feel are in the interests of this country. I'll vigorously oppose him if he goes far left. I would do the same with a Republican (vis a vis Dubai ports, Harriet Miers, etc.). I've yet to see anyone on the left who'd be as "tolerant".

Matt,

Dino has been banned for abusing our hospitality with his relentlessly obnoxious trolling. Since he's been able to post comments anyway by masking his IP address, I've been deleting them. So far I've been letting the ones he posts as Yoda stand, because they aren't as obnoxious. The alternative is forcing everyone to endure the hassle of registering or waiting for comment moderation.

Thanks Van. I'm sure your ban irritates dino as much as our not taking his bait.
