West Hollywood Hangs Sarah Palin in Effigy
The homosexual community that festers in West Hollywood has expressed its class and its political sophistication in a single gesture by hanging Sarah Palin in effigy:

The excuse is that anything goes, with the Halloween Carnival coming soon. Somehow I doubt we'll be seeing BHO hanged if effigy in West Hollyweird, any more than we'll be seeing FBI and Secret Service investigations, like the ones that resulted when someone tied a cardboard effigy of The One to a tree at George Fox University last month.
But as the effigy's creator Chad Michael Morrisette lisps:
The image of a hanged black man is a lot more intense than the image of a hanged white woman — for our country — in the history of our country.
That must be because no women were ever hanged in this country. Or maybe it's because, thanks to Saracuda, women no longer qualify as sacred victims whose alleged helplessness can be exploited to advance leftist politics.

Update:
To those accusing me of actually believing that no women were ever hanged in this country: please follow the link. Next time I'll use <sarc> tags.

So it has come down to this. Images of violence against women, derogatory slurs against women, wishing women were raped by gangs of thugs... these are all ok as long as she's on the wrong side of the fence. It's amazing what they'll justify, isn't it?

What class! It's ok to do it 'cause She's a white woman??? So, I guess it would be ok if I were to put together a little "effigy" in honor of Nancy Pelosi, right? No..........it wouldn't be ok. It sickens me to think that I fought for twisted little weasels like this guy.

so when is the secret service gonna visit the "artist".

Palin's motorcade just drove past my office window like five minutes ago. It was so cool!!
Posted by: V the K at October 27, 2008 9:20 AM
Disgusted by the effigy, but have to comment because of a factual error.
http://www.outlawwomen.com/MarySurrat.htm , a distant relative to me was the first woman hanged here.

And its from WORSE HOLLYWEED I wonder what would have happened if someone put out a effegy of BARACK OBAMA hanging from a tree in their front yard

looks a little eerily like michael jackson...

And what about the Obama effigies? No comment?
And the planned assassination attempt on Obama? See what happens when you yell fire in a crowded theater?
And you wonder why people think your hatred is racially motivated.

No comment on WHAT Obama effigies? Assassination attempt? Honestly, anything even hinting at either of these would be plastered all over every news outlet on the planet, and I haven't heard a peep about either. You just makin' that up so you'd have something to ejaculate at us?
Methinks Anon needs to adjust the tinfoil in his hat.
Posted by: hiram at October 27, 2008 3:26 PM
They are. And not assassination attempt, just assassination plan - a bad one I might add.
If you go to Google News you will see the story. The effigy stories are older than a day so search for "George Fox University" in the news section. And search for "Obama effigy".
Now, I'm not surprised by these. The difference is, though, that Obama's were racially motivated - not politically motivated. Palin's effigy is motivated by I don't know what but certainly not misogyny. I know that Obama's were racially motivated because the one at George Fox University mentions the affirmative action amendment to the school's charter and the guy in Ohio stated that this was a white Christian nation and Obama has no buisness running for president. The guy who hung Sarah - or perhaps Tina - did not mention his hatred or resentment of women as a reason.

Remember the whole Jena, La commotion....Someone hung a noose in a tree (not even with a person in it), and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were on the news crying racism faster than white on rice. But, evidently it is acceptable to hang an image of Sarah Palin in a noose. Why aren't more people ticked off by this??? Why is this acceptable?? because it's called "art"??? Maybe I should put up an image at my house of Obama being murdered or tortured. I'll call it "art."
Posted by: Andrea at October 27, 2008 3:58 PM
You can't compare it. Sorry.
If Obama was hung in effigy and it was obviously political then it wouldn't be a problem. But it racil as stated by the people who hung them. And Sarah Palin was not hung for misogynistic reasons.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 27, 2008 4:03 PM
Ah, I get it. According to Anon, hanging people is okay, unless its a "hate crime." Got it.
Posted by: V the K at October 27, 2008 4:05 PM
Not quite. Hanging people is never okay. Hanging political figures in effigy is okay. Hanging black men in effigy for racial reasons is not okay. Burning crosses on lawns is not okay either.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 27, 2008 4:11 PM
"If Obama was hung in effigy and it was obviously political then it wouldn't be a problem."
What world do you live in? It would most assuredly be tagged as racism, no matter what the context was intended to be.
Posted by: theQUICK at October 27, 2008 4:16 PM
Then I would say it sucks to be white because you can be hung in effigy without an FBI investigation into a hate crime just because your forefathers weren't lynched.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 27, 2008 4:27 PM
I hope no one gose trick or treat to that house absolutly no one

"Then I would say it sucks to be white because you can be hung in effigy without an FBI investigation into a hate crime just because your forefathers weren't lynched."
Whites were lynched in the past for their political beliefes and ethnic group. It's a historical fact that can be found all over the world.
But Liberals just won't believe it because it doesn't fit their CULTURE OF VICTIMHOOD.
Posted by: KHarn at October 27, 2008 7:35 PM
Yes, there were. But none of them were lynched for being white.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 27, 2008 8:43 PM
So if you're going to hang an effigy of Obama make sure you point out that Obama is actually half-white, and you're actually only lynch-ing the honkey part of him. Check - thanks Anon.

Are you looking for a loophole?
Posted by: Anonymous at October 27, 2008 8:53 PM
Yes, thats exactly what I'm looking for - a loophole! just so I don't look like a RAAAAAAAAAACIST in case I string up a Obama effigy ( or don't vote for Obama) Take your pick you liberal bed wetting moron.
Posted by: xantl at October 27, 2008 9:51 PM
This is beyond what is deemed appropriate use of freedom of speech. The display of Sarah Palin with a nuce around her neck is a potential death threat and should not be something looked at lightly.
The West Hollywood City Council and Police better get there act together because this has nothing to do with Halloween and the annual Halloween activities should not be anything goes. This will simply put members of the gay community at risk of physical harm themselves.
DISPLAYS LIKE THIS ONLY DIVIDE CONSERVATIVES AND MODERATES FURTHER AWAY FROM ACCEPTANCE AND EQUALITY.

Ohhh cant you just HEAR the OUTRAGE and foot stompin HISSY fits comming out of Barryboy if someone did that to him, or joeboy or Michelle? A double standared has reigned in this campaign and NOBAMA made sure to make it happen and keep it going. "Poor me, a candidate for President and they are gonna put me down for being black and having a funny name." But the McCain camp was too classy and too American to do that. So Barry had to find other LOW roads to play on race and pity. Why pity NOBAMA? He and 'shelly' have done real well thanks to the American people..Affirmative action got them in any schools they wanted, and their TABS wre picked up...she got a 400K a year job thanks to Hubbys earmarks...yet still, she only just now got PROUD of the USA??? This is what happens when you hand people things and dont expect them to work for them. Please people, NOBAMA! He had to refuse to put his hand over his heart when everyone else honored the flag, and refuse to wear "that pin" as he called it..because all his "BUDDIES", akll those radicals who invested inh im so heavily were watching. Im sure he old them he would have to give in for a while...tile he got in office. he is a snake...a big evil, snake!

This is almost humorous. The guys hanging Sarah Palin in effigy are gay, but this isn't a case of miscogeny?
This is a hate crime just as a similar act against gays would be. After all, if it were just about being a republican, why not hang McCain? Not that the act at all isn't reprehensible, but it would be less transparent.

What do posters mean that women have not been hung in America? The witch trials of Salem should demonstrate otherwise. Do people truly not know their history or is this just an attempt to justify this very lame act?
Posted by: Clara at October 28, 2008 6:44 AM
"Yes, there were. But none of them were lynched for being white."
Technically speaking, most of the black people who were lynched weren't lynched just for being black. Usually, they had some kind of charge against them (i.e. allegedly raping a white woman or something). The charges were usually false or greatly exaggerated, of course, but a lot of the mobs who participated in the lynchings didn't realize that at the time.

Adam,
It sounds like you need some time in an education camp. You evidently don't you know the orientation of the victim : Gay/Minority/Transexual causes a set of special circumstances to come into play?
If any of the victims are any of the above it is no longer a normal crime. It is now a HATE CRIME. While the victim is still dead, it is more of a tragedy when a "hate" crime occurs. If you're white and middle-class and murdered [even if you're murdered by any of the above "special victims"] you're a footnote in a newspaper somewhere. You sir will get 5 years in the Gulag until you cannot even use "black" and "lynch" in the same sentence without liberal hand-wringing and guilt of an event that happened decades before your birth.

Actually, women have been hanged in this country. Three states (Delaware, Washington and New Hampshire) still offer hanging as method of execution. This not a political statement, it is not a halloween decoration. This is misogyny. It is two homosexuals who, despite their demands for straight people to accept their lifestyle choices and opinions, refuse to tolerate the opinion of a straight woman. It's disgusting and offensive, no matter WHO the woman is: Sarah Palin, Nancy Pelosi, Kathy Lee Gifford...it is horrifying.
Posted by: amy at October 29, 2008 7:00 AM
This has nothing to do with violence against women, even though Chad Homosexual does think that hanging a woman is more socially acceptable than hanging an effigy of a black man. Chad Homosexual obviously has issuses with women in general.
If a White Supremist hangs a effigy of a Black American, there is no doubt what his intention and political message is. He is a Racist.
Now a Homosexual hangs an effigy of Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin has been heard on TV as prefering to ammend the US Constitution to prevent Homosexual marraige from happening once and for all. Homosexuals hate what she stands for.
There is no doubt what the intention of the Homosexual is, just as with the White Supremist. All the lies and feined innocence about a Holloween gaff are only tollerated by like minded individuals.
Fortunately the Sarah Palin / Homosexual Rights hate statement has now been taken down. Unfortunately the hate crime commited by the Homosexual is not being dealt with. West Holloywood would obviously never deal with that issue.

______________
It's not just the witch trials which happened more than 300 years ago. Think about how many women have been battered and murdered in this country, and still are. Every day there's news of women being found dead. Liberals have shown their true woman-hating colors in this election with how they've treated by their hero Hillary and now Sarah Palin.
