The Wrong Kind of Change

I believe we've forgotten one crucial point. The libs love Castro and his "paradise." They think its a great place. "Free" education and healtcare, and plenty of "Free" speach.

A better example is Chavez in Venezuela, that country is spiral downhill fast. Its gotten so bad their oil production is down 25% and employees are now growing food as a result of food shortages.

Will Obama follow Chavez's lead and send all the unemployed he will create into the fields to grow food and commune with nature?

"Venezuela's daily oil production has fallen by a quarter since President Hugo Chavez won power, depriving his "Bolivarian Revolution" of much of the benefit of the global boom in oil prices. "

"Meanwhile, Mr Chavez has given PDVSA countless new tasks. "The new PDVSA is central to the social battle for the advance of our country," said Rafael Ramirez, the company's president and the minister for petroleum. "We have worked to convert PDVSA into a key element for the social battle."

The company now grows food after Mr Chavez's price controls emptied supermarket shelves of products like milk and eggs. Another branch produces furniture and domestic appliances in an effort to stem the flow of imports. What PDVSA seems unable to do is produce more oil."

People should be wary of "Change". It's usually "the shaft" in disguise.

That's a brave dude there. I'm predicting he'll at least get a rock through that window. I'm against Obama as much as anyone else here... I just like keeping my windows. Kudos to that guy!

But.. but .. the lefties told me that 50 years of brutal dictatorship was totally the fault of the trade embargo (which is totally NOT full of holes!!11!!!!) and the CIA poisoning some crop fields in the 60s.. It must be true, right?

It looks like the "perfect storm" is brewing. All three branches of gov't to the far left, economy, gas prices, cynical voters, and a young generation of Kool Aid drinkers that are as shallow as a puddle and can't give you a reason why they vote for Obama other than he's black, he's cool, he's transformational, he inspires hope, and other bumper sticker slogans. Yep, it's Jimmy Carter all over again. That was a "magical" and "wonderful" time. I remember waiting in gas lines for 8 hours to pump two bucks worth of gas, inflation through the roof, price freezes, losing our "big stick" in the world order and becoming laughing stocks ready to test the idiot president, taking hostages and giving us the finger without fear that the pussy president would do anything about it, and other wonderful things. He introduced a "feel good" program that was a resounding success until it caused the collapse of the American economy and we're still dealing with the shit from the stuff he started in the Middle East. Yeah, it was a great time to be an alcoholic.
