The Dish Network's Obama Channel

Michelle Obama promises that if the media is able to install its Obamessiah in the White House, BHO will "never allow you to go back to your lives as usual." Everything will be different, after the Change. The Dish Network is offering a preview of what television may be like. Its channel 73 has been playing a two-minute Obama ad over and over in an endless loop.

Those of us who don't use Dish can get similar programming on MSNBC.

Shouldn't that read "...and put it TO the middle class first."?

Damn, Damn, Damn. I am getting so sick of this shit. Let's just crown his ass right now and get it over with. The media has won, they've finally swayed public opinion. Ladies and Gentlemen, the next dictator of America, Barry Barack Insane Hussein Soetoro Dunham Oprahma His Mama Uh-Bama bin Biden.

Children in public schools singing his praises, people fainting at his rallies, blind stupid followers defending him with rage and vitriol, the Messiah complexes, the Audacity of Hope and Change, and on, and on, and on...

You said it chad. This is getting so close to the old Iron Curtain countries it's incredible.

TV stations that only play announcements from the leader? That is so blatantly Soviet in style, I'm surprised even Obama's camp had the balls to do it. Maybe that just means they know they can...now that it's all over except for that pesky, unnecessary vote in November.

Chad mentioned the singing kids. THAT disturbed me more than anything, esp. the fanatic, mindless fervor of the "school teacher" conducting the kids (and who I assume wrote the musical masterpiece). The wild gesticulations, the frenzied, almost sexual adoration on her face...this isn't a political movement, it's a religion.

God help us.

That's EXACTLY what the Obama campaign team is seeking: a sense of such overwhelming inevitability that conservatives just say "fuck it, let's get this over with, put the black guy in the White House and let's see what happens." That's why it is SO important that, while we're thinking that, we actually show up to vote, and put McCain into office. This TV channel, like everything else with Obama, is designed to overwhelm us with a depressing sense that there's nothing we can do in the face of such well-organized, well-funded, aggressive innovation.

But the truth is, no matter what they come up with, all it takes is 51 % of the people saying "Nope", and the whole nightmare will be over and gone, except for the entertaining epilogue of race riots and mayhem in the streets of places I don't live or ever go to.

Very true Matt, Obamania isn't a movement, it is more like a religion, and quite frankly, that scares the hell out of me. It's a cult, where followers ignore their leaders foibles (i.e. associations with terrorists, Islamic background, Rev. Wright's hate speeches, etc...) and they disguise it with hope and change and unicorns and rainbows. It's like Jim Jones, David Koresh, and Heaven's Gate all over again.

Our only saving grace from the conservative side is that Mega is right, that at least 51% of the electorate just says NOPE on November 4th and saves America from the impending disaster that is Obama bin Biden.

Posted by: Chad at October 3, 2008 11:11 AM

I don't know if it's something they just added, but the description on DISH does now say (Paid Ad) following the Obama's Plan title. Some small redemption of sorts.

Mega, I agree 100% with your assessment. This demoralization has actually been going on for years - it just hasn't seemed so in-your-face as it's become during this campaign. Maybe the blatant display is a good thing if it gets the complacent to wake up and fight back.

We actually have some strong positives going for us right now no matter how hard the lefties and their media puppets try to spin negative.

Let's cheer ourselves up by going to see "An American Carol" and stick it to the minions!

What are these people going to do when they lose? If you thought the wailing and gnashing of teeth was bad in 2000 and 2004, you are going to see a number of people, who have had a tenuous hold on reality to begin with, go completely mad.
Expect the usual howls of 'it was fixed',the usual indictments of Diebolt, the FBI, the CIA, the TLC and even the BSA and the IRC. People will look at these people the way they now look at other conspiracy theorists.

"James McEnanly at October 3, 2008 2:05 PM"

That's why I've gone to the polling place with a RIFLE AND PISTOL in my car ever since 2000!

"....they've finally swayed public opinion."
chad...they didn't sway it so much as created it out of whole cloth.
i keep hoping, as i watch the drones speak, that my gut instinct is right;they are believing their own PR. that's definitely a no no especially when you spend so much time 'astroturfing' everyone and everywhere...
you can tell everyone that barack is the messiah and that he is going to win handily...because that's what you want the useful idiots to believe. but i think the American public is beyond the stage where they will believe anything just because it came out of some news anchor's mouth.
it may even be the opposite....
what i am worried about is that McCain will "polite" his way right out of getting elected.if he doesn't start pointing fingers and naming names...if he keeps trying to be liked by everyone then no one will like him in the end.
my gut tells me that McCain will win handily....un less of course the feds don't follow through on A.C.O.R.N.
and that is a real possiblity....look at the free pass barney frank is getting....

"Finally, a 24 hour ALL OBAMA channel for the tin hat crowd."

Maybe it'll keep them off the street, JIM.

Posted by: KHarn at October 4, 2008 7:52 AM

I'm canceling my Dish subscription and switching to Direct.

Posted by: mike at October 4, 2008 3:25 PM

mega, good point. I must admit I get depressed and tired of the "well, let's face it, Obama has already won" certainty of the left. And it's true, they DO believe their own crap (or a good percentage of them do). But no matter, I'm still voting for McCain. Lot of good it'll do here in California, though.

As for the "follow the cult leader" trend, THAT is true also. And I have one up on everybody here. Good ol' Vern Howell (or as you know him, David Koresh) was a customer of mine. Yep, when you see all the guitar amplifier stuff behind him in several of those well circulated photos, he bought a lot of that from yours truly. Unlike Obama's relationship with Ayers, I don't consider him a "friend".

Nope, ol' Vern was a grifter. He believed all that religion stuff about as much as Obama believes he's a light-being. Vern had a VERY easy gig...people gave him money, adoration and the women (including very young ones) were available 'round the clock. A con-man's ultimate fantasy. He knew that was as good as life was gonna get, so he committed "Suicide by ATF agent" when the jig was up.

Kind of off-topic, but talking about Obama just naturally lead me to think of other con-men.

That was me in the above post. Guess I forgot to attach my name. See what these libs are doing to me?

Posted by: matt at October 4, 2008 5:10 PM

I wonder how many people are telling pollsters i am voting obama which is exactly what i have done on 3 occassions. I am really voting McCain i just want to see thier numbers so far off that the blow out is actually for McCain not barry.

I am just waiting for the Nation of Islam to march on DC when Berry loses.

Let's not forget Michelle Obama pledging to put "black people first" in her administration.

If you don't vote for him because he is black you are a racist but blacks voting for him solely because he is black well that's just ok. RIGHT..NOT

I've canceled my dish network account as well. Talk about audacity!!! This scares the shit out of me. I never thought I would see the day that a Marxist could be elected President of the United States. God help us all.

Posted by: Brian C at October 4, 2008 11:47 PM

That's the straw that broke the elephant's back, I also will be switching to Directv. They could have atleast sent a barf bag with my last bill for when I scan past this channel on the guide, or maybe a stick on Hitler stache!

Posted by: KJ at October 5, 2008 6:08 AM

If Dish network is not representing an endorsment of the Obama campaign, then someone please tell me this....Dish network corporate headquarters is located in Palatine, IL....thats about a 40 minute drive from Chicago, IL.....hmmm!!!! I to plan to cancel my Dish network....I think it is an actual endorsment to the Obama Campaign...I just don't want to find out any of my money paid to dish is going to Obamas campaign...

Posted by: Renee at October 9, 2008 3:51 PM

I came home from work to my DVR recording the obama channel. WTF? I don't mind having the channel since i can ignore it, but having them force a recording is just messed up. This is a big no-no in my book. I just wanted to see if anyone else came across this.
