Profiles in Countermoonbattery: Alice Cooper

Despite the nasty comments from bimbos like Lindsay Lowlife and Dribble Shepherd, Sarah Palin has at least one friend in the entertainment industry. Here's veteran rocker Alice Cooper on Saracuda:

I think she's totally a breath of fresh air. […I]n a shooting war, I want a pit bull, not a poodle. I'm gonna go for the hawk.

This stance is characteristic. Here's what he had to say in 2004:

When I read the list of people who are supporting Kerry, if I wasn't already a Bush supporter, I would have immediately switched. Linda Ronstadt? Don Henley? Geez, that's a good reason right there to vote for Bush.

Never mind the crazy antics on stage; Cooper is a daily golfer, faithful husband and father, born-again Christian, and president of a Christian nonprofit charity. It's nice to know Ted Nugent and Gene Simmons have some nonmoonbat company.

Alice Cooper is still out there rocking.

On a tip from Adam.

Alice Cooper is awesome! If you ever get a chance, go see his show. You'll be entertained, I guarantee it.

Alice Cooper is a very bright guy, which is something else that makes him unusual in entertainment. Most of them I wouldn't trust to open a bag of chips for me without supervision.

Along Came A Spider - that whole album is brilliant. I've probably listened to it 100 times since I picked it up - it seriously rocks.

Cooper, Simmons and Nugent should do fundraising concerts around the country. Nugent and bring several deer to roast on a spit to feed those attending the event. If they were nearby I would go.

Who among us of 1960's-and-70's-vintage-rock age would have thought that 'Coop, Nuge and Gene Simmons for God's sake, would be voices of political sanity 30 years later?

Ted '08!

I can remember calling a friend and making him listen to "Eighteen" over the phone, when I was 12 in the early 70s.
I should check out some of his new stuff.

And in case you didn't know already, Alice Cooper's radio show kicks ass. Fans of REAL classic rock and not the pre-programmed,clear channel nonsense they call classic rock should most definitely check it out.

Yeah, refuter, I like catching his late- night radio show when I can, that's always fun to listen to.

I liked the joke somebody posted on the blabbermouth site...

Q: What do Obama and Osama have in common besides similar sounding names?

A: They both have friends who bombed the Pentagon!

Well, this proves, not all crazy rockers destroyed their brain cells in the 70's and 80's. Great post VH.
