In 2007, Global Warming was blamed for low snowfall levels at Swiss ski resorts. My, how things change in one year. One might be tempted to think that the year-to-year climate may be naturally more variable than we have been led to believe.

Let's get that Khalidi tape!!
I don’t know if there’s anything on that tape or not. I do know that we have a RIGHT to find out. Since the LA Times refuses to release it, we have little option but to force them to do so.
If you live in LA or subscribe to the LA Times, I strongly encourage you to:
a.) Cancel you subscription -- TODAY!
b.) Make sure the newspaper knows why you cancelled.
c.) Grab a copy of the paper and make sure that their advertisers, especially the big ones, know that you’ve cancelled and why.
d.) Make sure the newspaper knows you’re talking to their advertisers.
e.) If you can spare some time, picket/protest the LA Times offices.
f.) Encourage your friends, neighbors, coworkers, family, etc. to do the same.
If we hit them hard enough on their bottom line, they WILL release the tape.

Daly and President Obama already know that the people attending are a peaceful bunch. No worries there...It will be a joyful and wonderful evening. Sad that McCain folks feel so threatened ...it is just not the style of most democrats! We chose peace !
I am sure there may be some dancing and singing...maybe even a policeman or two will join in!
Its going to be Chicago's Finest Moment!"

ELECTION 2008: MUSLIM SMOKE AND FIRE
Where there’s smoke, there’s a fire, right?
Well, not necessarily. The “smoke” may be due to causes other than fire, such as overly exuberant cigar puffers, car exhaust, Indians sending signals, or even a thick fog or a very low-hanging cloud.
Then, again, it could be a fire.
There’s been a whole lot of smoke surrounding Barack Hussein Obama concerning his actual religion as opposed to his professed faith and suggestions that he could be a closet Islamist, a Muslim.
The subject has been all but beaten to death both on the pages of this blog and in other media but, much like a bad odor, that pesky smoke just won’t go away.
Obama’s Muslim middle name, his Muslim heritage on his father’s side, the Islamic belief that a son must adhere to the father’s religion, his years in Muslim Indonesia, even his college roomies at Columbia, some of whom professed that faith, all cast a pall over his repeated declarations that he is in fact a Christian and always has been.
There has been no dearth of support for those repeated declarations from all segments of the media which have gone to amazing lengths to disparage those who dared say Obama was a Muslim. Such articles as this ridicule that contention: http://www.pensitoreview.com/2008/01/05/swiftboating-obamas-religion/.
Indeed, his defenders have been so adamant and ceaseless in his defense that someone who thought that there might be even a smidgen of truth to the idea that he could hold Islamic beliefs might come to believe that Obama and the media protest far too much. If someone makes a preposterous allegation, would not the best approach be to simply deny it, ignore it, and forget it?
However, the Muslim beat goes on and on and on, fueled as much by the denials as by the charges, and now the word is that Muslims are being encouraged to turn out en masse next Tuesday although CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations contends it has no favorite dog in this fight: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=38455.
What is well known by now is that Obama was raised by his white, Kansan mother, the former Ann Dunham, after his black, Kenyan father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., deserted the family when he was two, and later by his maternal grandparents in Honolulu. They were non-practicing Baptists and Methodists.
His youth, therefore, was clearly Muslim-centric...

I think Obama is Moslem converted to Christianity (death sentence with Moslems under a lot of Sharia Law) or still Moslem and lying about it. He surrounds himself with Muslims (that is, people associated with the Nation of Islam) Muslim actually means 'One who surrenders to God'
One wonders if the Muslims around him are to protect him from Moslems.
Who protects us from all of them?
Actually, the reason for using Muslim has more to do with pronunciation. When English speakers say Moslem they put a 'z' sound in which makes it mean in Arabic 'One who does evil or is evil'. Taken further it evokes the word zulm and you might be talking about a terrorist. (if you know Arabic). Older people grew up with the Moslem spelling. Journalists and younger people who don't wish to be offensive have long since switched to Muslim. I suppose both spellings are correct--but I like the distinction above having to do with the Nation of Islam. Even Moslems have used the one spelling Moslem to denote local Arabs and Muslim to denote far removed foreigners.

Another hard-rocker Countermoonbat: Aerosmith's Joe Perry
Aerosmith has generally left the politics to bands like U2 and the Dixie Chicks, but axeman Joe Perry says national security and economic woes have prompted him to split from the rest of the entertainment world and throw his support behind John McCain.
“We pretty much stay out of it, but seeing so many people come out for Obama, I just felt like ‘What the hell, I might as well raise my hand for this side,” Perry said from his Duxbury home.
The Bay State rockers have done a few fund-raisers for the Kennedy family over the years, but Perry’s endorsement of McCain marks a first for the platinum-selling guitarist/songwriter.
…“I’ve been a hardcore Republican my whole life,” he told the Herald. “My mother and father drilled into me from the very start that if you work hard and be positive, you’ll get what you’re working for. I guess I’m living proof of that.”

Politico explains that MSM is in the tank for Obama due to professional objectivity
"The main reason is that for most journalists, professional obligations trump personal preferences. Most political reporters (investigative journalists tend to have a different psychological makeup) are temperamentally inclined to see multiple sides of a story, and being detached from their own opinions comes relatively easy. Dow Jones Newswires - the wire division of Dow Jones - has "committed to environmental responsibility" as of today. Not sure if this will be publicized; it doesn't sound like it's a huge deal until you consider that Dow Jones publish the Wall Street Journal whose editorial pages are one of the last sane stands against "climate change" idiocy in the world's media. Being largely from business journalism backgrounds I'd thought the people running Dow Jones would retain similar skeptical stance to the WSJ, but apparently not. I guess this is not a huge deal but, at least for me personally, the business press are the last best hope for sanity in media, and an institution I'd thought would never be so blind as to succumb to pseudo-environmentalist idiocy like "responsible energy use" in an effort to be "carbon netural," has in fact succumbed. One less bastion of sanity between us and an actual "consensus" of public opinion being reached.

THE FINAL CRUSADE
FROM THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE MILLENIUM DEPARTMENT:
Former Conservative Republican Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania says, “Next President Must Understand Challenge of Radical Islam,” according to a CNS News headline: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=38453.
No kidding, Rick!
More to the point, most Americans and one presidential candidate seem unable to fully understand that challenge, or the danger, or the threat posed by Islamic radical fundamentalists.
That presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama, may become our next president.
I address those issues, the challenge, the danger, and the threat to America, throughout my book and it is important to realize that they are three separate, although interrelated, issues.
First, the challenge:
We Americans must realize that Islam is no longer that relatively quiescent religion of recent centuries. Indeed, Islam is at its heart an extremely violent and warlike faith and has been throughout its long history. It is only because nations which were ruled by Muslims, for the most part, had devolved into backwater, Third World countries over the centuries that we hadn’t heard from them.
Until recently.
Radical Muslims have now gained a foothold, a financial base in Mid East oil treasures and for the last three decades have been waging war against Western civilization.
The most significant international, and domestic, challenge to America and to our next president will be to comprehend that new reality of geopolitics in the twenty-first century and to come to grips with how the West must deal with it.
Denial, ignoring threats and hoping they will just go away, is best suited to ostriches. For the West it is suicidal. Islam has no intention of “just going away” and its greatest advantage in its quest to conquer the West is the refusal of too many Americans to accept the fact that we are at war. Pretending otherwise is easier, more comfortable, more sleep-inducing– and fraught with serious peril.
Second, the danger:
Islamists do not anticipate losing the Third World War. ...
