We keep hearing that this presidential race is not about race but that becomes a harder and harder line to swallow as old recordings of Obama keep popping up. This particular 10 year old tape and pastiche of other shots of the Illinois senator is especially disturbing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7fi8STNlxM.

Draw your own conclusions but consider this: Although Obama never specifically blames white people for the condition of black people in America, he calls for sacrifice and, his favorite buzzword, change.

Who will be called upon to make those sacrifices and changes, the powerful and the greedy or the oppressed minorities who are powerless and in need of salvation?

We will all find out the answer to that question if Barack Obama wins this election.

MORE ON OBAMA SUPPORTERS

In my previous article, I referred to interviews in Harlem of Obama supporters which were broadcast on the Howard Stern Show. The interviewer posed questions to three people who planned to vote for Obama but asked said questions using McCain’s positions as if they were Obama’s.

On such issues as the right to life and the war in Iraq, the interviewees all indicated they backed those positions even though they were not Obama’s. The would-be voters even said they liked Sarah Palin as his VP!

Subsequently, I was lambasted for offering such flimsy evidence to show that many, not all, Blacks would vote for Obama no matter what he believed–or who his running mate was–and would cast their ballots for him simply because he is (partly) Black, at least “Black enough.”

Case in point was this response, unedited, followed by my rejoinder:

Well, sorry, hereinmiami, life doesn’t work that way.

As Bill Cosby has intimated, don’t expect any third party to transform the lives of black people. They have to do their own transforming, as in taking responsibility for their lives and the lives of their families, working hard, and securing a good education.

Any transformations will have to come from within or else you’ll end up sadly disappointed–even in Obama.”

Apparently, Howard Stern wasn’t the only one to reveal the Black inclination to back Obama no matter what.
