Here's kind of an insight into the Left's thinking. From the Kos guy himself. Like I've said in other posts, prepare for much nauseating gloating and glee. It's started even before the election.

A window into the Obama-bringing-people-together future:

I've been making the case the last couple of weeks that we can't just focus on winning in November, but that we have an imperative to take advantage of a historic opportunity to break the conservative movement's backs and crush their spirits. In the White House, that means getting Obama a broad popular and geographic mandate for change. In the House, that means annihilating the Republican caucus and working toward a 100-seat Democratic majority. In the Senate it means getting to a 60-seat filibuster proof majority.

Republicans will claim that McCain wasn't one of them, hence rationalizing away their loss. But if we decimate their ranks, including their conservative icons, it'll make it harder for them to justify their spin. Remember, we want them broken, their ranks thinned, their treasury in heavy debt, their morale in the gutter, void of any leadership, discredited in the eyes of the public.

Reason enough to vote for McCain. Hm, maybe others'll think the same and he'll win!

Will we be plastering these Big Brother posters over all the "for lease" signs in the empty storefronts? How much will poster-hanging pay? Nevermind, we'll want to do it for free, in appreciation for the privelege of living in the Obamutopia.

We love Big Brother. We have always loved Big Brother. OW! Quit poking me with the muzzle of that SMG, I told you we LOVE Big Brother.

Just read a freeper post that someone may have found the cross upon which he shall be crucified. Corsi's recent trip there may have been a decoy to get three copies of his Kenyan birth certificate out of the country. Someone in Kenya may have not been so pleased with Obama's support of Odinga. Berg may introduce them into his suit. Will believe it when I see it, has the feel of the bigfoot discovery. Until then there is hope that some rumors are true.

But I would truly enjoy see the Kostards best laid plans come crashing down around them.

Michelle Obama: Aunt Esther reincarnated

Pic is here

-----------------------

Seattle MSM equates Palin to uninformed mob, Couric to wholesome Disney fare

Sarah Palin and the mean wink

First, let's concede the obvious: Every politician wants to be seen as Everyman or woman. That's why every primary season brings the curious sight of millionaires in plaid shirts wandering through county fairs eating fried things on sticks. It's why Hillary Clinton hit that bar and Barack Obama went bowling, badly.

In that sense, Sarah Six Pack is nothing new. The "g" droppin', moose shootin', eye-winkin' hockey mom has plenty of antecedents. But there's a difference. Those antecedents were smart, wonkish people pretending to be one of us. Sarah Palin "is" one of us.

And by "us," I don't mean you, necessarily, or me. I mean the lowest common denominator us, the us of myth and narrative, the us of simple mind, the reactionary, ill-informed, impatient with complexity, utterly shallow us.

You think that's mean? Go back and look at the Katie Couric interviews again. Or the Charlie Gibson interview. I don't know about you, but I want a vice president who can identify Supreme Court rulings she disagrees with. Or define the Bush Doctrine. Or name a newspaper. Or — heck, I'm not picky — construct an intelligible English-language sentence.

One gets that sense from Palin's recent campaign appearances. Her attacks have grown increasingly strident and divorced from reality as John McCain's poll numbers have gone south. She blames Katie Couric, and not herself, for her inability to answer fair questions. She frames Obama as some exotic unknown with terrorist associations.

And the rabble duly rouses. They boo Couric, which is not unlike booing Mickey Mouse. They scream death threats. Someone addresses an African-American sound man for one of the networks with a racial epithet and screams, "Sit down, boy!"

PARODY of OBAMA's MUSLIM FAITH DENIALS ("Francis Xavier Christianson denies he is a Catholic")

My name is Francis Xavier Christianson... AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY YOU KEEP ASKING ME IF I'M CATHOLIC?

Oh -- i get it! just because my dad was born in Italy and -- well i guess that is a Catholic country... you naturally assume that I'm Catholic or something -- still that's a big leap isn't it?

Ok, ok, sure - my dad WAS Catholic and he (and mom) gave me a Christian name... and of course it is also true that all of dad's realtives (including my half-siblings) are Catholic...

And yes, sure my half-siblings will TELL you that I'm Catholic but how would they know? That's just what my dad told them!

Before you bring it up -- I'll admit it -- my step-father was also a Catholic and he did move my mom and me to Spain -- which is also (I guess) a Catholic country -- and sure he registered me on official government documents as a "Catholic"... but that was really just a... well... a silly little typo (that he kept making over and over)

SO -- NOW THAT I HAVE CLEARED THAT UP -- WHY DO YOU INSIST ON ASKING ME IF I'M A CATHOLIC?

Just because I recently slipped-up in a TV interview and discussed "My Christian Faith?"

People forget their religious beliefs all the time! Once I thought I was Jewish for a whole weekend! Heck -- for at least the last 18 months or so I've thought I was Jesus!

Sure, I went by the name Barry -- ummm -- I mean "Frank" for a little while in High School -- but then I made a big point of insisting later that everyone call me "Francis Xavier" -- because I really, really wanted to emphasize how NOT Catholic I am. 'cause I'm not -- really -- I swear. See, a REAL Catholic wouldn't swear right?

And is it my fault that a whole bunch of famous "Catholics" love me and want me to be president? I can't control what Father Farahkan -- err "Father Flanagan" has to say! It's a free country (for the moment anyway.)

SO -- WHY DO YOU KEEP ASKING ME IF I'M CATHOLIC?

IS IT BECAUSE YOU ARE RACISTS?

I'd be careful if I were you... my wife Michelle has plans for dealing with racists like you after the election...

Letter from McCain proves he warnd about Fannie and Freddie

Dear Majority Leader Frist and Chairman Shelby,

We are concerned that if effective regulatory reform legislation for the housing-finance government sponsored enterprises (GSEs) is not enacted this year, American taxpayers will continue to.be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole. Therefore, we offer you our support in bringing the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act (S. 190) to the floor and allowing the Senate to debate the merits of this bill, which was passed by the Senate Banking Committee.

Congress chartered Fannie and Freddie to provide access to home financing by maintaining liquidity in the secondary mortgage market. Today, almost half of all mortgages in the U.S. are owned or guaranteed by these GSEs. They are mammoth financial institutions with almost $1.5 Trillion of debt outstanding between them. With the fiscal challenges facing us today (deficits, entitlements, pensions and flood insurance), Congress must ask itself who would actually pay this debt if Fannie or Freddie could not?

NOW Democrat endorses Palin as a real feminist

Shelly Mandell, the president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women introduced Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin over the weekend in California, speaking not on behalf of NOW but "as an individual, as a woman's rights activist for 30 years who has worked for all those years to see this day."

Going through her feminist bona fides -- the International Women's Year, the Equal Rights Amendment, Geraldine Ferraro -- Mandell said she is "proud to support Sarah Palin, a woman who will fight for women's rights ... a woman who will, Lord knows, shake things up."

"Make no mistake," Mandell said. "I'm a life-long Democrat ... I don't agree with Gov. Palin on several issues." And yet, she said, "I know Sarah Palin cares about women’s rights, she cares about equality, she cares about equal pay, and as Vice President she will fight for it. She cares about our children and she cares about women's lives. She's an athlete and she knows what Title Nine did for girls like her."

"It is an honor to call her sister," Mandell said as she handed the microphone over to Palin, who would accuse Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., of "palling around with terrorists."

“America," Mandell said, "this is what a feminist looks like."

Fight the Smears quietly edits their Obama-ACORN facts page after connection exposed

The Obama Campaign claimed that Barack was never an ACORN trainer and that he was not associated with ACORN in 1992:

• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community organizer.
• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.
• Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992
But, after the Cleveland Leader discovered archived documents that proved that Obama did indeed work as a trainer for ACORN and work with ACORN in 1992, the Obama Camp scrubbed the webpage with new "facts":

The Obama Campaign now claims that Barack trained for ACORN trainer but was never hired by ACORN(?). They still have the misleading statement that ACORN was not part of Obama's voter registration efforts in 1992:

• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community organizer.
• Fact: ACORN never hired Obama as a trainer, organizer, or any type of employee.
• Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992.

Got that?
Obama believed in the organization so much that he trained them for free.
At least they now admit he did work there.

Flashback Plugs said Obama endangers his son who serves in Iraq

Senator Joe Biden criticized Democratic rivals such as Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama who voted against Iraq funding bills to try to pressure President Bush to end the war.

"There's no political point worth my son's life," Biden said, according to Radio Iowa. "There's no political point worth anybody's life out there. None."

Even some Obamunists can't stomach Obama's ACORN shenanigans

We have little doubt that the people who posted these entries will soon have their My.BarackObama.com accounts disabled by Obama’s moderators (and at least one did), in which case we are delighted to welcome them to PUMA or the GOP, whichever they prefer.

ACORN By Lindsay - Oct 9th, 2008 at 7:37 pm EDT

This ACORN stuff is really really bad. As a voter, I really need to know that Obama wasn’t funding an organization that willingly engaged in voter fraud.

This could be a game changer for me.

Obama campaign - you have a real situation on your hands w/ this Acorn dilema. Who cares about Wright and Ayers, but FRAUD, this is huge. Your entire campaign has centered around trust and change and this could completely tarnish your reputation. You, Obama, need to get on TV RIGHT NOW and explain the situation. This cannot linger in hopes of it dying down and it needs to be addressed before the McCain camp attacks. I would suggest you telling the American people, that you are appalled and don’t condone this activity and that you will put up you own money (personal or campaign) to ensure that no this situation is fixed. You must explain what is going on and separate yourself from this activity……NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEW YORK CITY, SWEET LAND OF LIBERTY, AS LONG AS YOU ARE A LEFTIST

A brave group of souls took their lives in their hands when they dared to stage an orderly pro-John McCain march through the streets of New York City this past weekend. They were greeted by what can only be termed a typical reception for Republican conservatives in one of the most liberal-infested cities in America.

See the 5 minute video here (posted on Drudge): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQalRPQ8stI.

Actually, there’s nothing exceptional in that video. A group of McCain supporters exercised their consitutional rights to free speech and assembly and took to the streets carrying an American flag and pro-McCain placards. Nothing exceptional, except perhaps that the New York Times tomorrow will probably report it as, “Rabid McCainiacs Invade the City!”

Along their route, they were met with catcalls, obscenities, one finger salutes, boos, and general rudeness by New Yorkers. Nothing any more exceptional there than Sarah Palin’s reception by Philadelphia Flyers fans at the Flyers’ NHL home opener on Friday night, http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/11/AR2008101101659.html, except that the boos weren’t tempered by cheers as they were on Friday.

However, in defense of New York City libs, I can explain all that, not actually defend it but at least explain it.

Having dwelt in that leftist cesspool for my first twenty five years, and after visiting innumerable times since then, I think I know Noo Yawkers very well. I can also attest to witnessing upcloseandpersonal the nature of the New York City Political Beast.

Half a lifetime, or more, ago, I served in the trenches of the failed "Goldwater for President" campaign. ...

"V" is coming back? Ive heard ABC is planning a new mini series that does away with the Nazi Germany them used in the 1983 original. Will this one feature Obama clones disembarking from their mile wide spaceships? "probly"!

And the original creator of "V" is planning either a 25 years later version discarding the 2nd miniseries from 1985 and the poorly done weekly TV series from 1986 or a big screen movie remake of the original.

Tim Noah tells Democrats, now that you're in power, you can stop hiding your real beliefs:

The Second Amendment does too allow government to ban handguns!

Let's standardize the federal age of consent at 16!

Promiscuity between consenting adults is good exercise!

Health care is a service, not a business!

I don't support the troops. I support some troops, depending on whether or not they've committed war crimes!

Higher gas prices are good because they make everybody bike and take public transit like they should!

America isn't the greatest nation in the world. We think it is only because it's our country. Duh!

America's official languages should be English and Spanish!

Judges should legislate from the bench if they want to.

Big-city values are better than small-town values!

We're undertaxed. Look at Europe!

It's not enough that the top 5 percent pays 55 percent of our taxes. Why not 75 percent? Believe me, they can afford it!

I'd like to offer you all a glimmer of hope. I live in Chester County, Pennsylvania. On Saturday afternoon we had some warmer than usual weather, so I fired up my motorcycle and took a ride. I was amazed when I noticed the yard signs in the county... the McCain signs have begun to outnumber the Obama signs... and by (I'm not kidding) about a 3:1 ratio. That was the best observation I've made in the last month or so. So again- let this remind us that it's not over until it's over. Think about that infamous headline, "Dewey defeats Truman" and the smile on Truman's face as he held it high above his head for ther cameras...

Two great reads in American Thinker. I highly recommend them both:

Why Obama's Communist Connections Are Not Headlines

This stuff isn't rocket science. It is easy to teach, if the professor desires. The problem is that it isn't being taught. Consequently, Americans today do not know why communism is such a devastating ideology, at both the level of plain economic theory and in actual historical practice. It is a remarkably hateful system, based on literal hatred and targeted annihilation of entire classes and groups of people...

What does it all mean for November 2008? It means that millions of modern Americans, when they hear that Barack Obama has deep roots with communist radicals like Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis, don't care; they don't get it. Moreover, the leftist establishment -- from academia to media to Hollywood -- will not help them get it. To the contrary, the left responds to these accusations by not only downplaying or dismissing them but by ridiculing or even vilifying them, given the left's reflexive anti-anti-communism. The left will create bad guys out of the anti-communists who are legitimately blowing the whistle on the real bad guys.

All That Darned Conservatism

George W. Bush has been President since January 20, 2001, or almost the last eight years; that is true. But the President can only sign the budgets Congress gives him, and he can only fill high-level positions with people approved by the Senate.

On June 6, 2001, Jim Jeffords jumped from the Republican party and the Senate jumped to Democratic control with him, for almost two years. And both houses of Congress have been in Democratic hands the last two years. For those four years in between, the Democrats had enough Senators to filibuster anything, and they used that power freely. But with Republicans like Chafee (now endorsing Obama), Collins, Snowe and Specter, the filibuster was not always necessary.

The US Senate has been the final resting place of virtually every "conservative" initiative in the last eight years, yet the birthplace of such non-conservative monsters as Campaign Finance Reform and Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

...

How can Mr. Franks so glibly, with no evidence whatever brought to bear, blame the Iraqi reconstruction difficulties on conservative policies? What "conservative" policies? The one of using only 150,000 troops? The one of insisting on Iraqis running Iraq, under a constitution and fair elections? The one of spending billions of our own dollars in Iraq? Would a 5-year occupation under a US viceroy and 500,000 troops have been the "liberal" policy? Would he have preferred Harry Truman's "liberal" solution used on Japan in 1945 - two atomic bombs?
