Obama Violated State Senate Ethics Laws
Obama does have one qualification: his resume is so skimpy that it's hard to pin him down on any ethics violations. Hard, but not impossible:
As an Illinois state legislator from 1997 to 2004, Obama was prohibited from accepting honoraria for speaking engagements under the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act. But as the Volokh Conspiracy reports, his tax returns show he collected $16,500 as a "foundation director/educational speaker" in 2000 and $34,491 for "legal services/speaking fees" in 2002.
Good thing for The One that the media is too busy investigating Joe the Plumber to look into this.

The media has only one interest - getting Obama elected. Barring a miracle, they will succeed. Obama can do no wrong in their eyes.
After all he is THE ONE.

I agree. There's very little that Obama could do at this point that would force the mainstream media to actually report, and report in a fair and real manner.
The only real hope is that enough people are simply hearing about this stuff through other sources. Even then, far too many people simply turn on CNN and scoff at the idea that they are being manipulated.
It's like half the people are appalled that the media is investigating Joe the Plumber instead of what Obama said, while the other half is appalled that Joe the Plumber is still allowed to walk the street, along with his family.

Isn't it amazing that The Plumber is being torn to pieces, because he was the first and last person, to ask Obama a frank and unscripted question. And Obama screwed up and answered honestly.
But as far as violating state laws....he's done worse. Obama seems to have violated the Logan Act, every time he boards a plane leaving the US, or speaks to leaders abroad.
Irag, Kenya, Canada, Syria....

Within my own family there exists a moonbat. I know... I know: the shame.
She's very "open-minded"... which means that over the last 30 years she's been shafted by every two-bit conman in the immediate vacinity. On a personal level, her quest to "give the benefit of the doubt" to anyone she meets has led her to make some remarkably horrible decisions. On a political level, she tends to lean leftward because she feels the Democrats embody the open-mindedness she tries to uphold.
It astounds me that she just can't see the folly of this path. Time and again she has let the wrong people in to her life and time and again she has been left with loss, betrayal, and heartbreak-- both to her and her children. And yet, every time she opens the door and proudly proclaims that she's "tolerant" and willing to see "the best in everyone."
I'm all for seeing the best in people... but in today's environment of rabid self-interest and humanist morality, you have to see the best in people through a filter of reality. Give the benefit of the doubt, but watch your ass while you do it.
I mention this to point of that so many who mindlessly support the opposition do so because they feel that doing so gives them the moral high ground. It's just another way for liberals to feel a bit more enlightened and intellectually superior to their supposedly less-informed conservative opponents.
This endless cycle of being mindlessly open-minded and then getting the shaft every single time isn't just something that happens in the world of localized interpersonal relationships-- this happens on a broad scale. Trusting opportunists will only lead to being shafted in the end-- EVERY SINGLE TIME.
This election year, my moonbat relative has chosen to only listen to select media outlets... IE: every channel besides Fox. She sees Fox News as a right-wing hate machine that fudges the facts and only promotes ill-will to minorities and "courageous" liberal politicians.
I avoid political discussions with her, but on the few occasions that we have talked about the election she has taken every single FACT that I have produced about Obama as a lie. She is so convinced that he's the best bet for the nation, that she won't even consider listening to an opposing viewpoint. Obama has a nice face, speaks well, and promises the world. These things alone have swayed her and countless others to blindly believe everything that he has approved them to believe about him.
This is a scary time, friends. We are seeing the cumulative effect of Gramsci's plan for social reform being applied over the course of the 20th century and manifesting in the dawn of the 21st. They start with the children and feed them leftist thought from the time they are able to talk. They foster this growth throughout grade school and into high school with every conceivable correlation in their school work to leftist principles that they can shove into the curriculum. These children graduate and continue the indoctrination through their college years, further influenced by very formative social engineers who were themselves part of the last generation of social experiments. These carefully manufactured leftist automatons leave college and go into the workforce fully believing everything they have been trained to believe over a 20 year period.
They become journalists and continue influencing public opinion by sculpting what the sources of information tell us. They become artists and push the boundaries of what we deem acceptable. They become politicians who push for socialist policies. They become teachers who continue the cycle once again.
We are reaping what we have allowed the Left to sow. There's no wonder that young people blindly believe what Obama says-- no wonder they believe that we are evil and want to destroy other nations and make ourselves kings of the hill. They are only doing what they have been told to do for a large chunk of their lives. God bless the select few who shrug off the years of indoctrination and become independant thinkers.
We're going to have to be very strong to survive this with our principles intact. We're going to have to take some lessons from the founding fathers in this dark hour. I'm scared. No doubt about it; I am scared by what the Left has become.
But I am confident that our tried and true beliefs are strong enough to last. I see in the young conservatives I talk to daily a spark of will and a thirst for freedom that passes beyond any brainwashing they have encountered. We need to stay sharp and strong.
Good lord, but I do ramble. Sorry, guys.

The ethical problems BO has (besides being the Thief-in-Chief for Worker Revenue Acquisitions) may actually go beyond accepting illegal honoraria, which he could if pressed, simply pay back.
If it turns out that some of the currently unaccounted for $200,000,000.00 raised by his campaign was paid for by a foreign entity, BO could be in deep legal trouble.
Of course, the extent of the trouble may be a function of how effective the traitorous liberals and their media goons would be in suppressing links from foreign contributions to BO.

This conversation is NOT helping get Barack elected. Please focus on the issues.
