Liberal Milksop Whines That Saracuda Is a Bully
A weepy moonbat named Tony Norman launches a psychoanalytical attack on Sarah Palin in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and ends up telling us more than we ever wanted to know about himself:
Those of us with vivid memories of middle school have seen Gov. Sarah Palin's type before. She was the girl who was always the first to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and the last to stop instigating fights in the cafeteria.
She was the girl who always had just enough self-awareness to know when the boys were paying more attention to her than to other girls. Her specialty was flattering the alpha boys around her. Terrified of losing her exalted place, she quickly perfected the art of saying nothing of consequence. She rambled because the boys thought it was cute. If she ever had an original thought in her head, she was discreet enough to keep it to herself. She was the conformist who fancied herself a leader.
From an early age, she knew the power of a strategically placed hand on the bicep of some jock. Girls like Sarah Palin knew how to secure a place with the "in crowd." After all, she was the girl with the iridescent smile who provided the laugh track for the meatheads roaming the halls pulling wedgies on those who would never qualify as "their kind of people."
Like a lot of bullies, Sarah Palin…
Blah blah blah ad nauseam. Try therapy, Tony. Maybe one day you'll get over those well-deserved wedgies you received in junior high.
Hat tip: Nice Deb; on a tip from V the K.

Someone sounds jealous.
And not of the jock.

YOu know, I am an old enough guy that complaining about getting beaten up by a girl was not something men did.

Real men still don't, Bill.
Posted by: V the K at October 8, 2008 7:37 AM
I had exactly the same thought, Bill.
And it turns out Tony Norman is a brother. I bet he had fun in the hood, when even girls could kick his ass for him.

Good ole Tony - gotta love that guy - he attended the Jeremiah Wright School of Journalism.
He describes any woman who isnt black as a bully - he said similar, though less harsh, things about Hillary Clinton.

Poor Tony, I guess he didn't get enough dates in high school.
Yeah, I didn't either, but I have long since learned that a few years after high school graduation, that "popular crowd" stuff doesn't matter any more. The passage of time has a way of evening things out.

If you never were or will be popular or liked it is easiest to simply blame those who are. It's like getting angry at women because they won't go out with you; why is it their fault you are a loser?

Poor Tony, I guess he didn't get any dates in high school, of afterwards either.
There fixed that for ya.

Putting a face to the ass: Tony Norman:

Not surprisingly, this jackass makes the claim that the media is a conservative propaganda machine owned by right wing corporations:
"Tony waxed psychological on the bias of the media. The whole thing, he said, revolves around the Right’s instinct for acting out of a siege mentality – it’s an effort to galvanize one’s own troops against an opponent by portraying that opponent as seemingly more powerful... When one considers that two of the three branches of government are in the hands of the conservatives (with the judiciary not far behind) and that the owners of major media are themselves conservative, the whole notion that the Left is more powerful than the Right is simply specious. It’s 'more of a pose than an existential dread,' he said. They’re fulfilling an emotional need to identify with an insurgent movement."

Awwww! Poor Tony. Perhaps I'll mail him a hankie. A nice pink one to go with his politics.

Poor Tony. Went to an all girls school to be safe and still got his ass kicked.

At what point does such cross into libel?

Does Norman have a butt-ugly wife too? He sounds like Eddie Murphy's Norbit.

Wow. I got bullied in primary school and ignored in high school. I was a small, underdeveloped kit with braces, glasses, a funny voice and bad hair. High school didn't matter to me from the moment the final exams were over. Sure I occasionally wish I could have had some better memories to look back on, but I don't so, so what? As if that would be something that would affect your thinking as a "journalist" writing political articles how-many decades later? What a douche.

PS. late high school and into college I finally got my growth spurt and morphed into rather a large man. Mighta helped had that occurred ten years earlier but meh. I can barely remember high school; I'm sure it's the same for most emotionally/mentally healthy people.

tony norman went to the beach oneday and a 98 lbs weakling kicked sand in his face and buried him and even the seagulls and sandpipers could beat this doofus with ease

I see we're playing Dr. Phil here with Norman's most likely reasonable adolescent insecurities, so I'll try and take a swing. Maybe Norman wasn't one of the elite in his school. Maybe he wasn't a jock, or well-liked for that matter, and maybe this was based on external observations rather than what may very well have been the intelligence and charisma that lent to his becoming a published journalist. Furthermore, I doubt that he has remained entirely bitter for all this time. Most likely, as I and many others have, he became upset over the notion that one of the vapid and useless remnants of those miserable days was coming this close to a position of real power. He and I will rest easy knowing, however, that on election day she'll lose, and we'll forget the pathetic transformation of a one-time war hero into a desperate old man, clawing for the top. Take a cue from Wayne Carter (in case you're unfamiliar, the most successful hip hop artist alive...) At a scrawny 5'8", 130 lbs, and being one of the quieter, but most intelligent students in his school, he went on to become filthy rich, critically acclaimed, and has probably slept with the daughters of enough staunch republicans to have a lynch mob called on him. I have faith this system will continue to work, and the smart ones will inherit the world, time and time again. We'll get all the girls, your sons and daughters will work beneath us, and while 100 years from now the Al Gores, Barack Obamas, and Michael Moores will be fondly remembered, Sarah Palin will be nothing but a forgotten and dimwitted beauty queen. For some of my deeper thoughts on Mrs. Palin, check out http://IcmBlairthe4th.blogspot.com I should have some insightful comments over the next few weeks.
