Jessica Whyte was at the Coogee Bay Hotel on Grand Final Day when she and her family were given free ice-cream to compensate them for poor service.

Ms Whyte says she tried the food and noticed it smelled disgusting and tasted even worse.

She then went on to become sick and have the food tested by the National Measurement Institute, who told her in no uncertain terms that the food had "an offensive odour and properties similar to human excreta".

Yuck! I've spent some time in the Brisbane airport on a layover while flying from Melbourne to Cairns..(and now I'm really hoping I didn't use any drinking fountains while I was there.) However, I've thankfully never been to Sydney to have their shitty gelati.
