Happy Nancy

happy-nancy-bailout.jpg

The picture above screams up at readers from the cover of the Wall Street Journal this morning. Why is Nancy Pelosi so ecstatically happy? Because she and her fellow bureaucrats were able to exploit the crisis they helped create as an excuse to move the country $700 billion closer to a socialist slave state — using our money. Better still, the bailout virtually guarantees more bailouts to come — just as this bailout never would have been needed if irresponsible lenders hadn't been able to count on it.

At least after Mussolini imposed socialism on Italy, his victims were compensated with the sight of him hanging upside down at a gas station with his head kicked in. It would be nice to think America's impending socialism will turn out as happily.

Once Il Duce was as happy as Nancy.

Though this crisis clearly shouldnt have happened in the first place, something had to be done to stabilize the credit market or we would end up in a depression. I know people in small business who are having series trouble getting short term bridge loans to meet payrolls. I know many fellow conservatives feel plunging into a Depression would be a good thing - but then again look at the 1930s. After the stock market crash the government tightened credit - which was the wrong thing to do. Trade wars only made things worse. Of course the final bill was loaded with with extra pork - would anyone expect anything less? Its one thing to buy up mortgages for pennies on the dollar where the government has a chance of coming out in the black, its another to use the bill as an excuse to add pork. I wonder if Muslims are offended by the term "pork barrel project?" LOL!

One might hope they might learn from their mistakes but somehow I doubt it. The only hope that is if, against the odds, McCain-Palin wins, Palin will smack McCain around and make sure he uses his veto pen early and often to stop wasteful spending and turn the tide. I had hopeed Bush would do that, but he turned out to be a real dissappointment on that issue. He did a good job protecting the nation - but not on the domestic front. Then again, thinking of Kerry or Gore running the country the last 8 years would have been 10 times worse!

What the hell is she smiling about?

That's a face crying out for a big smack.

Sarah Palin only really has 1 talent...let's just say she must have passed it on to her daughter that got pregnant.

And ONCE AGAIN the trolls show that they have NO CLUE what the subject is! They may as well post "OH YEAH? Well my daddy is a FIREMAN!"

I wonder if this $700 billion added to the national debt will be blamed on Bush. (what am I saying? Of course it will!)

If Nancy's happy, I'm scared.

When I see Pelosi smile like this and like on Drudge, I feel like I just got violated and can't even call the cops to report it. Like single stack said, "If Nancy's happy, I'm scared."

It's like going through a haunted house. You know that when you turn the corner or go through that next door, there will only be something more hideous and scary than what you just went through.

Although Pelosi and the dumbocraps suck, their were plenty of Republicans that supported this socialistic bill also. Tightening credit would be a bad thing because (GASP!) people might have to live within their means for once in their life!

I may be dumb as a pile of rock, but I would not have voted for this crap. What is wrong with the Republicans. they get a winning issue (like drilling for oil) then run to the democrats side and vote with them. Pelosi should be smiling. She just stuck it to the Republicans again.
