Famous Thinkers Throughout History on Pelosi, Biden, and Obama

Special thanks to reader Jim J, for collecting famous quotes applicable to Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and the Obamessiah himself:

Nancy Pelosi:
• She is a peacock in everything but beauty. — Oscar Wilde
• She looks like something that would eat its young. — Dorothy Parker
• She was a master at making nothing happen very slowly. — Clifton Fadiman
Joe Biden:
• His mind was like a soup dish, wide and shallow; it could hold a small amount of nearly anything, but the slightest jarring spilled the soup into somebody's lap. — Irving Stone
• He can compress the most words into the smallest idea of any man I know. — Abraham Lincoln
• Fine words! I wonder where you stole them. — Jonathan Swift
Barack Hussein Obama:
• A wit with dunces, and a dunce with wits. — Alexander Pope
• He knows so little and knows it so fluently. — Ellen Glasgow
• Why are we honoring this man? Have we run out of human beings? — Milton Berle

Apparently their personalities have been around for awhile, to have been described so aptly in advance.

My favorite quotation that can be used on most politicians in from Groucho Marx:

Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.

"More of their stupid mindless braying dont you get tired of listening to these stupid mindless jackasses?"

Huh? These quotes aren't from the politicians, SP. They're from famous thinkers and being used to describe the politicians.

This recent financial mess, brought on in part by those who thought it would be a good idea to loan money to people who have no income and no job, reminded me of the poem The Gods of the Copybook Headings by Rudyard Kipling.

Great post! My proverbial hat is off to Jim J. and you, Van Helsing. Very creative – and apropos – use of historical quotes as analogies.
