British Bureaucrats: Leave the Door Open for Thieves

As swarms of petty thieves pick through the rubble moonbattery has made of an empire, Once-Great Britain is moving toward a new policy on theft prevention:

Bristol City Council is urging people to leave their sheds open because padlocks could lead to thieves forcing their way through doors and windows of the council-owned sheds to steal garden equipment.
The council said that its new initiative could save taxpayers' money because fewer sheds would have to be repaired or replaced.

As a sage bureauweenie advises:

Where sheds have been repeatedly broken into, our advice, and it is only advice, is not to padlock them as forced entry often results in the doors being jemmied off.

A similar attitude seems to have shaped the policy on illegal immigration, both in Britain and in the USA.

On tips from Byron and Steve.

Sorry Steve. I work from the newest tips backward, and unfortunately I never get to some of them.

It's okay, Van. I was just giving you some shit. I'm glad it got posted, even it was from this strange Byron fellow. ;)

This is the same Steve as the Steve of the now defunct Pencil Nub, BTW. I'm taking a break from blogging. Whole Wheat Bagel is one of my original homepages.
