Britain's NPower Sponsors 1984, the Ecoversion
Welcome to 1984, the ecoversion — sponsored by Britain's NPower:
Kids are expected to keep diaries in which they record their families' environmental sins — a "climate crime case file" — and are urged to talk about the offenses in their classrooms.
It's just a way to raise awareness of global warming and how waste contributes to climate change, nothing more, NPower says, and children won't really be telling on mom and dad anyway.
Don't be duped. One, the threat of kids informing on their parents is implied and should make anyone uncomfortable. Two, the campaign puts into place a foundation — and a mind-set — that a future informant program could operate on.
For example, before long kids might be turning in their parents for eating meat more than four times a week, which we're told will make it be too warm out.
Incremental totalitarianism isn't any easier to live under. It's just harder to fight.

In trying to capture the minds, hearts and souls of young children, the
Nazis at first
offered many incentives. Things that would fascinate and attract children,
such as uniforms,
knives, drums and bugles and much more. The next step was peer pressure.
Telling them
"your friends are members, why aren't you?", " You can't belong to our
social group and have
fun like we do, if you are not a member", "You have to sit at the back of
the class or isolated
in school somewhere if you are not a member". etc. etc.
Later, far different motivations and persuasions were used, and the Hitler
Youth soon were no
longer real children, but more or less belonged to the State. It was not
that unusual for kids to
turn their own parents in to authorities if they caught them doing
something not approved by
the State. Many parents were severely punished and some sent to
concentration camps and
then death because their own children had turned them in to authorities.

The eco-nazis run loose in britian making kids keep dirty green dairies about how they have sinned against gaia the new deity worshipped by the eco-freaks.
