The MSM in this election has been the Obama campaign's helicopter parent... always ready to swoop in and protect him from having to confront any sort of challenge or difficulty. Do you know what happens to the children of helicopter parents? They turn out spoiled, over-confident, and unable to cope with any real challenges.

I love how Biden says that Obama isn't talking about "spreading the wealth around", when that's EXACTLY what he said to Joe the plumber. Biden might want to listen to what his boss is saying.

They can't run away forever. Even if Obama is elected, he'll have to face scrutiny at some point, especially since -- y'know -- he has zero clue of what he's doing. The press might not hassle him, but the public will if he screws up on the job. It would get even worse if (or should I say "when"?) he cops an attitude about being questioned. Anyone else remember "I've already answered eight questions today" or "Can't I just finish my waffles"?

That's why I'm not afraid of an Obama second term. To win again, the economy will have to improve and he'll have to govern as a moderate. Neither is likely, although both are possible.

Apparently the only legitimate way the Republicans have found to discredit Joe Biden is to ask him incredibly stupid questions and then show brief clips of his flabbergasted response and call him stupid.

Or have a heroic news reader ask him softball questions that should have been asked long ago and have her show the complete and entire clip of him stumbling over his dentures.

It is amazing to me how a man can stand up and lie, not equivocate, just out and out lie, and there are Koolaid drinkers who will run in and claim that the question was unfair. Both Biden and Obama lie repeatedly. When they get caught unscripted, as Obama did with Joe the Plumber, they attack the questioner, claim he was a plant when his question was a simple uncomplicated one about a specific policy. I guess the biggest problem was that Obama couldn't think of a lie, so he had to tell the truth and Joe ended up paying for it. What is going to happen to Barbara West? If the pattern follows she and her husband are going to be attacked all through the media. What is really scary is that if the can do that now, what is going to happen when they get into power. This isn't socialism it is, as Jonah Goldberg has made so clear, FASCISM.

I'm betting Barbara West had aready had a dozen illegal background checks done from government computers on liberal bureaucrats' desks.

I hear that one of the two local vocational schools here in my area of PA had to have State Troopers on hand last week to provide security in case of a "race war" between the various ethnic groups at the school. (ie; white v. black, mexican v. puerto rican, etc) Apparently there have been weapons on campus, numerous assaults, and a lot of "racial tensions". For G-d's sakes, these are just highschool kids!

I'll admit it- last week I thought some of us were being a little paranoid with the talk of seeing riots and violent episodes in the near future. Now I don't doubt that it could happen. But my family and I will be safe. I can guarantee you that much.

And here's another interview with Biden from last Thursday aired on CBS 3 in Philadelphia. The Obama/Biden campaign has now banned this station from doing any interviews with him as well. CBS 3 was accused of using "FOX-news-style ambush journalism" and station management was "embarassed" by the incident and did not re-run their 4pm newscast containing the interview.

With the exception of one question by Charlie Gibson to BO at a debate (to wit:,"why more taxes BO, when it has been clearly shown that taxes reduce revenue?" BO:"uh, uh, uh, fair uh, ...ness, uh"), there have been few tough questions of substance by the media to either BO or OBiden.

Yet one tough interview (West) questioning Biden about the BO disease and liberals start whining about media bias.

What else can you expect from people that hang women in effigy?

i think it's clear that biden reacted stupidly by canceling his wife's interview. that's hiding (although palin was hiding for a month or more, which most commentors seems to forget). and kudos to her for asking a tough question- biden could have set the record straight and didn't.

the real issues is that her question wasn't smart- raising taxes on the top %10 of the nation by %3-%4 is not even CLOSE to European socialism, much less Marxism. obama proposes lowering taxes on %90 of the population, and people are acting as if he's collectivizing people's property. the smart question would be- hey, history has shown that raising taxes on anyone can hurt the economy- how can you justify it? instead, she goes for the far right buzzword- socialism. it's shock journalism, which is OK for blowhards like Limbaugh (on the right) and Air America (on the left)- but not good for network news.

let's not forget the whine fest that maccain put up because katie couric asked whether seeing russia from a remote island miles off of your coast qualifies as foreign policy experience (one of the dumbest justifications for a candidate's lack of experience on record). it goes both ways.
