Al Gore Continues to Spew Climate Lies

Al Gore tells lies about the climate as fast as they can be debunked. Now he wants us to believe that nonexistent global warming is causing more powerful tornadoes and floods. Proclaims the Goracle:

Yes, we've always had tornadoes in Iowa and in Tennessee. But they're coming more frequently and they're stronger.

Via Watts Up With That, the following graph from the NWS/NOAA confirms that the number of severe tornadoes has been going down since the early 1970s. The trend for reported tornadoes overall is up, but that's only because improved technology and increased obsession with the weather has led to better reporting of minor incidents:

Gore also claims that recent flooding in Iowa was caused by global warming driving up the humidity. But water vapor only stays in the air for 10 days, whereas it has been 10 years since it's gotten any warmer — as University of Alabama, Huntsville confirms:

As always, Gore's lies are demonstrably false. Nonetheless, a complicit media can be counted on to exploit them as further justification for our economy to be hamstrung and our liberties suspended.

Meanwhile, John McCain promises to bring Gore into his administration to wreak havoc in the name of the global warming farce:

Asked if he would be a visible presence in international talks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and replace the Kyoto Protocol, McCain, who has clashed with fellow Republicans over climate change, said he would do "whatever is necessary to try to move forward."
He said he would involve former Vice President Al Gore in efforts to address the issue. "I would tap him, I would tap people who have been involved in these issues for many years […] I have great respect for Al Gore."

Incredibly, McCain is the less unthinkable of our presidential alternatives.

The Goracle's nose continues to grow.

We're more likely to be able to fight the Gore-bull Warning moonbats with McCain/Palin in the Whitehouse than if we end up with Jobama, a Marxist congress and a Socialist judiciary.

Go read what "Tom in Paine" thinks about Obama, Pelosi, et al, then follow the link there to "Democrats For Principle Before Party" and see if you don't agree these folks are our allies (though they may not be by 2012)

There's still reason for hope.

You know the saddest part of all this?

I'm not one bit shocked by this. I hate that they are making me so cynical. Gah!

If you think about it, this is a failure of the education system. Anyone with a basic understanding of how the climate works (and the time frames involved) will understand several things:

1. Climate changes are inevitable.

2. The earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling (and always has).

3. The effect humans have is (at best) minimal.

4. Even if humans have set something in motion, it would (a) it takes a long time to have an effect, and (b) it takes an even longer time to reverse that effect. These things are measured in centuries and millennia, not years or decades.

This is high school stuff. The idea that using a CFL bulb will "save the planet" is ludicrous. It shows the utter lack of basic understanding on the part of the public...hence, AlGore and "The Debate Is Over".

Who do you want for PotUS?
McCain:I'm going to screw you over.
Obama:I'm going to screw you over, toss you down the stairs, and set you on fire.

Man, I hate this kind of question. The answers always suck.

Since when have liberals cared about the Truth?

Their wet and sticky little fantasies are "truth" to them. They're morons, each and every one.

To a liberal, 2+2=5 cuz Obama says so. Can't argue with an articulate (they say) black man. He says so - it's true. ALL black children will be architects, engineers, doctors, lawyers, and bankers when the Obamamessiah is supreme ruer of the universe. Their brains have been repressed. With the coronation of obama, their brain cells will suddenly be set free!

A fool could see that's the truth. As all fools do.

That's a good take, conservativeteen.

I might put it like this, instead. Who do you want for POTUS?

Obama: I'm a Democrat.
McCain: I stand against Republicans.

Conservative voter: WT....F?

Let me ask something of the bloggers on this site. Why haven't I heard about any of this inforamtion about Obama in teh local news? I live in teh liberal SF Bay rea dn ther are a few outlets that will print or at least mention some of the articles that are mentioned in thsi blog. Would it be too much to even just e-mail some information to some of these news outlets or are you too convinced that the media is is so left leaning that it will not publish any of this information. Send some of it out. Maybe it will get soem of teh people talking. 'Cuz so far it seems that Obama may just win it all, despite all of these "facts" presented here. I'm all for a McCain for President and I hate the fact that Obama is being portrayed as a messiah. Do something with this information. Let it out. Or we well have 4 good years of Socailaism

sorry about the spelling errors

Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer.

Wouldn't it be the greatest if Mack put alGore on a blue ribbon commission to study the current state of AGW. The commission recommends that no action be taken due to additional information showing that the current state of the issue is one of no discernible connection between human activity and climate change? The enviro-nazis would explode all over themselves. If alGore refused the appointment, he would be asked what it is he is afraid of. Contradiction of his profitable beliefs?

You make it sound so good, Texas Tom.

By the way, you wrote:
"Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer."
Seems I heard in a movie the related saying "Choose your enemies wisely, because they last longer than your friends" or something like that.

Dave, there is a concerted effort to suppress any information that would lead to a loss for Obama. We could go to these offices you mention and scream it to the top of our lungs and show documented proof and still be turned away as lunatics. It has been attempted before. For a very good look at media bias and the people who are trying to make the truth known check out www.newsbusters.org

if he gets much fuller of himself they'll have to call the honeywagon!

The worse part is that the schools run by the leftists NEA and the various enviromentalists wackos are spewing this global warming poppycock to the kids i mean there should be a law against lying to school kids like their doing filling their head full of green malarkey

In the post before this one there's a quote about Obama:

"For those who actually think Barack Obama is qualified to be President, no amount of truth, logic or reason is going to change their minds. To do so means having to admit they were taken in and made fools of, and as any cop will tell you, most con men get away with their con because their marks are so embarrassed to admit they were taken they just keep quiet."

It's the same with the global warming hoax, no one wants to admit they were taken in by this profiteering snake oil salesman Al Gore.

That previous quote was mine, forgot to add my name (or initials in this case).

McCain wanted Leiberman as his VP. We should expect no less than Gore as Environmental Czar. Maybe Hillary as Health Secretary?

Posted by: mandy at October 6, 2008 7:48 AM

The only two things that differ McCain from Obama is national security and Sarah Palin.

Al Gore is a freaking characterture (sic) of Chicken little running around telling people that the sky is falling.

Believe it or not, I fell for this crap back in the day, until I realized it's a bunch of B.S. Now anything Al says, I just brush off as the last attempts of a man and his failed campaign to control the planet and force everyone to live 'green'.

Algore has lost all credibility in his fight, and I'm surprised people are still slurping his crap up. That's all I have to say about that.
