Your Tax Dollar at Work at PBS

The moonbats at PBS are conducting a poll allowing their readers to convince themselves that everyone agrees with them regarding Sarah Palin.

The poll:

Do you think Sarah Palin is qualified to serve as Vice President of the United States?

Surprise, surprise. Most of the latte-slurping leftists who get their news from this socialist propaganda service pretend that she is not — never mind that she is infinitely more qualified than the hard-left Affirmative Action post turtle the Dems have at the top of their ticket.

What a shame it would be if conservatives crashed the party by casting sensible votes.

On tips from nanc and CWKing.

Hey guys, vote early and vote often! Get in there and hit the meter for Sarah.

BTW... I hit this thing big time and the stats did not change. You don't think that maybe the display is rigged do ya?? Naw... they wouldn't do that would they??

The irony in "troopergate" is that Obama has never held a position with the authority to fire a public employee....and who has more executive experience?

I for one am sick and tired of my tax dollars going to PBS and NPR.

Those two organizations can only survive because tax payers front the bill for them.

PBS and NPR wouldn't survive if they depended on the free market for their income, and they know it.

I voted Yes. So there. Thppppppp.

McCain and Palin should have at least 4 years to take away public funding of TV and radio stations. Let Soros/Hollywood/consumers pay for it!

Try cross posting this at Free Republic. Let's see what happens to that poll then.

YOU may vote more than once - PEOPLE! i've voted five times today - they must have people sitting atop their laptops! get out the vote!

I quit watching pBS becuase i got tired of those blated pledge breaks and accusing you of stealing their programs when you dont make any pledges

I can think of another Republican they didn't think was qualified to be vice president: Dan Quayle.

And he may yet get to be president on the strength of a surging write-in campaign.

I lived in SF and the PBS station there was run by gay leftie wackos so it showed "all gay all the time" shows, except twice a year during pledge drives when they would show "family friendly" and general interest programming. It was so obvious what they were doing, trying to pull in more viewere to try and get more money out of them. PBS is the lefties' playground and their ratings are shite.

after a full day of several people voting several times behind numerous proxies, the poll numbers are still firmly fixed at 37% Yes and 61% No. "Fixed" may just be the right word here.

It's a shame that PBS and NPR have gone so far down the tubes. Granted, I'm only just approaching 30 years old, but I remember when PBS (at least in the Philly market) was the only thing on television worth watching, even after I got too old for the kiddie shows. PBS was once very highly respected for the caliber of their educational and children's programming- I try to encourage my own son to watch some of it. Why can't they just air episodes of This Old House, NOVA, Wild America, and stay out of the political arena? Even Sesame Street is becoming tainted by the left! I mean, God help us when Sesame Street is biased...

Bah, I'm as anti-moonbat as anyone but calling PBS a socialist propaganda service is just stupid. Have you ever watched "The Lehrer News Hour"? Yeah, it's real hard-left stuff. And "The McGlaughlin Group"? One liberal vs. four conservatives. LOL.

By the way, how much money do PBS and NPR receive from taxpayers and how much from private contributions? Anyone know?

Posted by: l. ron hoover at September 18, 2008 5:08 AM

Bah! Search for "we only do hit pieces" and see what NPR thinks of you...

The News Hour went down the tubes when they let Jan Crawford Greenberg go (she did the Supreme Court commentary - she was good and she was HAWT!).

This Old House flushed (HAHA, crapper joke!) when they went $100,000.00 over budget on the Concord house, got their a**es sued and fired Bob Villa as a result. (Oh, then lied about the reason for the firing...)

THEN, PBS sold subscriber lists, lied about *THAT*, and then 'fessed up. Then our local station manager compounded the lie by claiming we could have opted out. How do you opt out if it is not on the contrib form AND you don't know they're doing it. Too late Sparky.

I had stopped contributing long before that because they WOULDN'T STOP calling during dinner. They stopped calling AFTER I stopped giving them money. Fools.

Now they just steal tax money from me. Yay! = (sarcasm)

"'The McGlaughlin Group'? One liberal vs. four conservatives. LOL."

I call "Bullshit." Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. If anyone watching the McGlaughlin group thinks that that is the scenario then they REALLY need a mental enema.
