Teleprompter Troubles Cause Uhbama to Forget His Best Friends
Teleprompter glitches notwithstanding, you would think Obama could remember the names of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in light of this:
Barack Obama has a major Wall Street and Washington problem that the media so far is refusing to acknowledge or explore. He is in the pocket of the Wall Street firms and mortgage security companies that are at the center of the collapse of the real estate bubble. He is closely tied to at least two of the Fannie Mae principals. As Ricky Ricardo would say, "Barack, you got some splaining to do."
Let's start with the numbers. Why is a first term Senator pulling down almost $300,000 a year from Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, Countrywide Financial, and Washington Mutual? He has not even completed his fourth year in the Senate and received a total of $1,093,329.00 from these eight companies and their employees. (all data from OpenSecrets.org). John McCain's numbers, according to OpenSecrets.org for the period 1990-2008 (i.e., 18 years worth of data) only collected $549,584.00. In other words, Barack is receiving $273,582.25 (and 2008 is not over) per year while McCain raised a paltry $30,532.44.
Too bad we don't have journalists in this country. This would make for an interesting lead.

Journalists? What the hell is a Journalist? No such thing anymore, Van, they're all political hacks with an agenda, on a mission to install a complete moron who eats, sleeps and breathes Marxism in the White House, and screw what's good for the country, in the meantime . . .
Save for Gov. Palin, what's killing the people who care for this country is the "leadership" in the party opposed to these dim-witted Marxists (who come pretty damn close to being Socialists themselves), like John McCain, out there blaming Chris Cox at the SEC and refusing to name the names of his bestest friends in the Congress, such as Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, who are utterly responsible for essentially 100% of this current financial mess.
Wake up, Senator! Whether you realize it or not, you're in a war with the forces of evil, and there you are, smiling away and simpering about some regulator, slamming the Bush administration, while your BFF's get away with fiscal murder. Start fighting, Senator, or even with the excellent Sarah Palin on your ticket, you're headed for a "crash and burn" defeat on November 4th. Of course, since that'll leave your BFF's still in power in Congress, and put that incompetent oaf in the White House, maybe that's what you really want to happen, after all.
You really don't seem to have it in you to win this thing, Senator, and it's showing, big time . . .

'Too bad we don't have journalists in this country'
Actually we have many like Maulkin, Coulter, o'Reilly, Hannity, Peters, Steyn etc etc
Anybody who wants to know whats going just have to watch these authors/journalists etc a for a week
So in the summary the info is easy to find, but do people want to hear it is the question?

While working this morning I heard him acting presidential before the press with his plan to come up with a plan interview. The one reform I have yet to hear proposed is banning these companies under Congressional oversight from contributing to politicians who might be able to influence regulators. This is very likely the grain of sand that made this pearl of a failure.

wizdum: You're right about there being a few (a precious few) voices of reality out there -- and I especially love Coulter, Malkin and Steyn amongst those on your list; add Levin and Gilbert [Sweetness & Light] and you've got an all-star cast indeed! -- but one has to seek them out, as you well noted. Unlike the "mainstream" media (all Barack, all the time), our guys don't come unbidden into your home via TV or newsprint.
