Will Oblama's "national defence force" be checking our (required) pictures of Oblama for proper display?

BJD, I think they're trying to keep her out of the news now after she continually kept putting her foot in her mouth all the time. Now I'm not sure if she's still doing that, or if the media just won't report it anymore. Either way, I don't want her venomous hatred in the White House.

THAT SMELL FROM D.C. ISN'T CHERRY BLOSSOMS
Something stinks in the former murder capital of the United States, Washington, the District of Columbia.
It isn’t just the usual greed, corruption, and hypocrisy which are hallmarks of our capital and of our congressional representatives. We should be accustomed to that by now.
Washington in the past week or so reeks with such a stench of socialism that visitors should be cautioned on all roads leading to it to carry copious supplies of Lysol and air fresheners and to invest in a sturdy face mask to ward off the rancid smell and floating bile.
This nation was founded on capitalism and rose to greatness and unmatched prosperity because of capitalism, that same capitalism which was the bane of committed socialist and Communist governments for a century and which resulted in either their dissolution or stagnation.
Russia, China, even Viet Nam wised up and smelled reality and incorporated elements of capitalism into their societies and they are now relatively prosperous. North Korea and Cuba did not and North Korean peasants are now reduced to eating the bark off trees in order to survive and Cubans still drive cars imported from the U.S.A. in the 1950’s.
Yet, despite any sane man’s recognition that socialism sucks the soul out of their bodies, our leaders are now preparing to institute the most humungous socialist undertaking in the history of the planet: the bailout of a private company, AIG, a capitalistic enterprise whose CEO’s and CFO’s and a slew of other major and minor chiefs basically screwed up. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=080926123140.jvg3mysz&show_article=1&lst=1
Despite all the D.C. bluster by both Dems and Republicans, those chiefs will skate or more precisely, float, if not via golden parachutes then on the millions they absconded with over their careers.
Know what, though? ...

This debate is laughable. Obama gets to spew nonsense but as soon as McCain makes a statement, they want to cut to Obama to let him respond. Total BS.
My favorite line from Obama so far is concerning Iraq. He thinks we should've sent more troops to Afghanistan because that's where they are now. Guess what idiot, they're there because they no longer have such a hold in Iraq. Please go back to community organizing Chicago ya d-bag.

Wow! This room is getting vicious. However, watching the debate is making me sick. Here Hussein is pretending to be a moderate when in reality he's a bleeding heart liberal. I suppose it's an achievement for Moonbattery.com when liberals come over here and pretend to be regulars and make simplistic racist posts hoping to degrade the comments here.
But, seriously, who is surprised to see the liberals bring racism to the table again in this election? It worked against Hillary so why not continue this same strategy against McCain?
My beef against Obama has nothing to do with the color of his skin... it is the lack of content of his character that bothers me.
Posted by: Cartman at September 26, 2008 9:49 PM
I thought McCain was very weak for the first 1/2 hour, unfortunately probably when people were watching before getting bored. He did better in the last hour. No clear winner; I'm thinking this debate changes nothing - McCain people and Obama people probably all feel OK with a few misgivings. As the "challenger", McCain probably had more to accomplish than he actually accomplished.
Ah well, time for McCain to find another spot in that end zone 85 yards away and let it rip. He's good at finding those, although they're getting exhausting.
He needs crisper, tighter answers on economic questions that really resonate with people. I for one think the whole angry-about-earmarks stchik is a big bunch of shit and would much prefer to see him talk about economic things that at least 10 citizens give a f*** about. But that's just me. $18 billion in earmarks = 1/5 of the AIG bailout, and around 4 % of the current bailout package being debted. We got bigger fish to fry - McCain should find something more relevant to be so passionate about.

Liars, damned liars, and lying politicians.
Those three terms are pretty much interchangeable in Washington. (See articles, “That Smell…” and “Maybe Alfie…” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/.)
The so-called Party of the People liars, the Democratic Party, led the charge and, individually and as a political party, benefitted the most from the easy money era. The self-same blowhards such as Senators Obama and Dodd, are now blaming the AIG crisis on the G.O.P.
This is not to say Republicans are saintly choir boys, either, but in the most current scandal, mess, debacle, crisis, or scandalous, messy, critical debacle, the responsible parties and the $700,000,000,000.00 AIG elephant in the room can no longer be ignored.

Virginia troopers forbidden from praying to Jesus
Six Virginia troopers who serve as chaplains stepped down from their jobs to protest a policy banning references to Jesus Christ in public prayers.
The policy is supported by Democrat Va. Gov. Tim Kaine.
Via CBN:
“There were several of us who felt that because of our convictions. about what the Bible says, we couldn’t agree to go along with a generic prayer policy,” said 13-year trooper Rex Carter, who works in Southwest Virginia.
Republican lawmakers in the state concurred, arguing that the new restrictions are a violation of the First Amendment and an attack on Christianity.

During a rancorous House session late on the night of August 2, 2007, presiding officer Rep. Michael McNulty (D-NY) closed the vote and announced it was tied at 214-214. By rule, tie votes in the House lose. That was the result Democrats wanted on this particular vote. But the unofficial “scoreboard” in the chamber briefly flashed 215-213 in favor of the Republicans, meaning votes were still being cast electronically.
In protest, House Republicans walked out of the chamber on the next vote and demanded an inquiry.
During the investigation, which lasted more than year, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) admitted in hearings that he yelled at McNulty on the dais to shut down the vote. He also barked at the House parliamentarian, “We control this House, not the parliamentarians,” when he thought they had advised McNulty to keep the vote open.

Code Pink surrenders in Berkeley, packs up, claims victory
CodePINK and our allies have prevailed!
Prevailed? On what planet?
Major protest operations at the MRS have been ended, one year since covert
military recruiting operations were first uncovered in Berkeley!
So they're giving up. Note that "protest operations" have been ended, not the USMC office. "Covert" and "uncovered" is funny - it's a storefront on a major street and was there for months before Code Pink noticed it - but I guess they have to do anything they can to make it sound like they accomplished anything. Notice they've already declared victory as an April Fools prank and the media was dumb enough to show up - not today, they were on their own.

Amen. I tuned out after I realised I was watching "The Obamanation Monologues"... the moderator is so far in the tank for Obama (he is from the Proletariat Broadcasting System, after all), that I thought he was gonna just tell McCain to 'shut the hell up and let the Messiah speak'. Has anyone timed this? I used to have a chess clock, wish it was here with me now. I'd love to time this MSM crapola and post just how much time each candidate spoke.
And then hit the bastards with it when they bring up the un-"Fairness Doctrine" again.
Please, please, John... get in this prick's face. Call him on his years of bullshit and support from every terrorist organization & tinpot dictator on earth. Tell him to shut the hell up and let you say your piece. Don't let this narcissistic primadonna lie his way into the oval office!
Or not. I can probably survive 4 years of Obama (I survived 4 years of Carter), and I imagine the country will too. Eventually. Afterwards, we won't have to worry about another 'affirmative action' President in our lifetimes.
Hell, John.... let the Dems win an overwhelming majority so they can't blame it on anyone else. We'll un-elect Barry just as fast as we can (like we did with Jimmuh), and maybe Sarah will take over and be the President I've been waiting for since Reagan....

9/11-loving fatwa-er's daughter is a pole dancer
THE daughter of hate cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed is a POLE DANCER, The Sun can reveal.
Busty Yasmin Fostok, 27, leads a secret life after rebelling against her fanatical Muslim dad — who rants against Western “depravity”.
She has performed in London pole dancing bars and gyrated half-naked in cages at club nights.
And she admitted: “I’m willing to go topless if the venue is right.”
Yasmin, a party-loving girl who quit the family home in North London four years ago, added: “I don’t get on with my dad.”
Bakri, 50 — in Lebanon after being kicked out of Britain — told The Sun: “I am deeply shocked.”
Bakri is a Muslim preacher of hate who wants all women to be covered from head to toe.
He hailed the 9/11 terrorists as the “Magnificent 19”.
Asked if he condemned the disciples of Osama Bin Laden, he ranted: “I condemn Tony Blair. I condemn George Bush. I would never condemn Osama Bin Laden or any Muslims.”
The Syrian-born preacher later blamed the Government and the British public for the 7/7 outrages in London which killed 52 people.

PETA campaigns to get sheep molester listed as sex offender
Jeffrey Scott Haynes, 45, is serving a 2 1/2 - to 20-year prison sentence after pleading no contest to sodomy in 2006. He was found trespassing on a farm in Bedford Township in January 2005. The farmer called police when she realized one of her sheep was injured. A DNA sample taken from the sheep matched Haynes, a career criminal with convictions dating to 1985.
However, according to Michigan law, Haynes will not have to register as a sex offender because since the sheep is an animal, it cannot be considered a victim of sexual assault.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' director of the cruelty casework division, Martin Mersereau, expressed his disbelief at the court's ruling.
September 24, 2008: Detroit News: "I think the appellate court is being too literal in interpreting the letter of the law," he said. "It seems in this case, it's an issue of what's good and right being constrained by verbiage. I believe their hands are tied in that regard, so I can't blast them for that, but at the end of the day the community will suffer if people who abuse animals sexually aren't on the radar."
Mersereau said people who sexually abuse animals often do the same to humans.
"It seems about a dozen times a year we hear of cases involving people who sexually abuse a child, who have in the past done the same to a dog," he said. "The two go hand in hand, and any time the law does not help contribute to the awareness of a predator in their midst, the community suffers."

AOL’S DEBATE POLL: NATIONAL SECURITY PLACES A DISTANT SECOND
AOL News, not your classic example of conservative opinion, published some early poll results on Friday’s McCain-Obama debate: http://news.aol.com/elections/debates/article/obama-mccain-wrestle-over-war-taxes/172887?icid=200100397×1209889398x1200623043.
According to that poll, Obama won by 2% and seemed more presidential by 2%, a statistical and surprising tie.
On handling the economy, McCain won by 54%-46%. On dealing with the Iraq War, McCain won, 56% to Obama’s 44. On choice for president, McCain won by 12%.
Those figures seem fair and accurate enough. What baffles me are the answers to the question on “the most important issue” in the election. Some 72% said the economy, 16% said national security, and just 6% said the Iraq War; the remaining 10% were divided among health care, the environment, and education.
Certainly, now, with the massive turmoil in the economic and housing markets, and in Washington over those markets, the economy should be on the minds of most people but whether it should supersede national security in significance is another issue.
If indeed we are facing another depression, as the doomsayers say...

JERUSALEM DEBATE PRE-QUEL: FEAR AND LOATHING OVER PALIN
American expatriates in Israel staged a pre-debate debate with stand-ins for McCain and Obama battling over American issues: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=36384. Unlike the real debates, this proxy affair included audience Q & A.
Aside from the incongruity of staging an American “presidential debate” on foreign soil, the exercise highlighted the conflicts at home, principally over Governor Sarah Palin, to wit, ” ‘I’m absolutely terrified to have someone who is considered a fundamental Christian in the White House, who supports creationism. How [can] an American Jew” support Palin, a fundamentalist Christian, a young woman from the audience asked.’ “
“Terror” is a pretty strong term, suggesting out of control panic more than it does a rational reaction.
Not to be cowed, a McCain/Palin supporter chimed in with a spirited defense. “Religious Christians are fine citizens,” he said. ”They are upright, patriotic Americans. They support the United States, and I’ll tell you something else, they support the State of Israel like most of the Jewish community in the United States seemingly forgot to do,” an obvious reference to last week’s bizarre disinvite of Palin to the Jewish anti-Iran rally outside the U.N. (See: “Choosing Abortion over Israel, http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?paged=2.)
An Obama/Biden lackey then weighed in, calling Palin “an extremist, …out of step with traditional values,” who is unabashedly pro-life and who “wanted to ban books from the libraries.”
Extremism and traditional values may be open to debate, perhaps, although to many Americans, Palin is the farthest thing from extreme...

ACORN AND ACORNS
Two different acorns:
a·corn (?’kôrn’, ?’k?rn)
n. The fruit of an oak, consisting of a single-seeded, thick-walled nut set in a woody, cuplike base. (American Heritage Dictionary)
ACORN: The Association of Community Organizers for Reform whose president, Maude Hurd, reflected on last night’s debate as follows: ”Senator McCain failed to acknowledge the trigger of this explosive crisis: predatory lending, . . . If Mr. McCain is unwilling or unable to acknowledge such facts, how is he suitable to lead our country out of the worst financial mess since the Great Depression? Senator Obama acknowledged foreclosures as the root of the financial crisis and has pledged to help homeowners.” (From the ACORN website, http://www.acorn.org/index.php?id=12439&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=22340&tx_ttnews[backPid]=12387&cHash=0a859245ea.)
Ergo, Obama should be elected president of the United States.
If life were that simple, we wouldn’t need an election. Every four years we could just declare the winner by unanimous acclamation. That’s called Utopia.
Fortunately, we do have regular elections in our semi-dysfunctional democratic republic, which means ACORN’s Ms. Hurd has but a single vote and doesn’t call the shots. That too is fortunate in many ways, including the truth that foreclosures may have been one trigger for our mess but did not cause our mess.
The root of our financial crisis is government intrusion into the private market place and without roots even Ms. Hurd’s oak wouldn’t grow and prosper. (See “Psst, Ya Wanna Buy A House, Por Nada?” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/)
What is this ACORN we’ve been hearing so much about and what does it have to do with “a single-seeded thick-walled nut?” The symbolism is fairly obvious, that the plan for ACORN is that its nut would develop in fertile soil into a great oak tree but whether that oak would be a black oak, a white oak, a pin oak or some other oak variety isn’t clear.
Regrettably, after being initially welcomed to the ACORN website, I repeatedly encountered this notice, ...

PALINCIDE?
I’m not sure what’s going on with Governor Sarah Palin.
I should re-phrase that to, What’s going on with regard to Governor Palin?
Sarah Palin hasn’t changed an iota in the last month since her designation as the Republican Vice Presidential nominee, but ever since the Obamarmy of character assassins/lawyers descended upon Alaska, her mainstream coverage has gone from initial infatuation to vile insinuation to positively nasty.
That’s a pretty fair barometer of Leftist feelings: They’re terrified of Sarah!
The preliminary attacks focused on her attractiveness and scant experience of two years as governor and six years as mayor of Wasilla, notwithstanding the fact that those eight years give her eight years more administrative experience than Obama/Biden combined.
The suggestion was that this woman was too good looking to be a politician, let alone Vice President of the United States. After all, what were we used to looking at? Hillary, Pelosi, and the slew of Democratic women who seemed to have, to be kind, gender identification issues and, to be kinder, no need to flee from scouts for beauty contests.
That ploy didn’t work.
Obama’s hatchet men and women proceeded to go after Bristol and her pregnancy, which led, naturally, to questions about the Palin family’s Christian family values. The hypocritical Left gasped that a governor’s child could let herself get pregnant, which must mean their family values were a charade. Lib kids were better prepared with porno sex education, condoms, pills and, if all else failed, the nearest abortion provider.
That slur failed, too.
Then they revved up and began their War of Vicious Innuendo: Sarah had an affair with a staff member, Baby Trig Palin was really Bristol’s bastard child, Baby Trig was Sarah’s love child, Todd Palin was a drunk driver because he had a DUI twenty years ago, Eli was being forced to marry Bristol, etc., etc., etc.
Those lies were soon headed for the dung pile where they belonged in the first place. However, the Leftist mission was accomplished. The lies were out there and the flies and maggots would multiply.
(Speaking of dung and maggots, the Saturday Night Live crew burrowed deep into the same dung pile. . .

DEBATE BUST?
All that talk about this being a watershed election year may be overblown.
At least based on reports that no records were set in viewers watching the first presidential debate, most people were more interested in watching something else than watching McCain and Obama square off last Thursday. http://www.thrfeed.com/2008/09/debate-ratings.html.
If that proves accurate, this statistic skeptic thinks the numbers could mean a number of things.
Either the mass of people are suffering from election overload due to the longest primary season in history or the Obama camp hasn’t ignited a blaze under as many new voters as it had hoped. Or, it could mean voters are already convinced one way or the other that the next three debates are superfluous.
Whether due to overload, lack of electoral fire, or closed minds, the big question is whether a sufficient number of people will still get to the polls on November 4th to elect as president an unqualified, inexperienced, uppity, arrogant, pro-abortionist, socialist, or John McCain.
I’m hoping for nationwide rain; inclement weather tends to keep down the turnout of the lazy and ignorant.

PATRICIANS: ONE. PLEBEIANS: ZERO
California is said to lead the way when it comes to cultural upheavals. At least that used to be the case before Governors Grey Davis and Ahnold turned the place into a socialist paradise driving industry to Nevada and driving taxpayers to distraction.
It’s bad enough that English has been relegated to a secondary language out on the Left Coast, supplanted by Espanol. It’s bad enough that the “Nation of Aztlan” has designs on “reclaiming” California, and most of our Southwest for Mexico. It’s bad enough that California is home to that bastion of Leftist “thought,” Hollywood, where actors and actresses, directors and producers believe fame is synonymous with political wisdom.
Now it’s been revealed that lawmakers out in sunny Cal aren’t satisfied with bilking the public with taxes. They also swindle them at the gas pump: http://autos.aol.com/article/news/_a/gas-cards-give-lawmakers-free-ride/20080926105309990001?ncid=AOLCOMMautodynlsec0004&icid=200100397×1210215986x1200620707.
While the driving plebes have to dig deeper and deeper to cough up gas money, the new patricians, the aristocratic class–aka, lawmakers–get a free ride, literally, with state-supplied gasoline credit cards. Ostensibly to be used for state business driving only, there are neither checks nor balances to deal with, although the guy in charge of the program says, “I trust them.”
Trusting politicians? What more could we ask for?
To perk up the gas perk, the state of California also gives its pols a free car so they have something to put the gas into.
Since California is the only state in the union to be so generous with taxpayer money, when you next bitch at the pump just be happy you live in one of Obama’s other 56 states.

RACE AS A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
My grandfather often repeated the old saw that people should never discuss religion or politics since those topics often resulted in endless conflict with never a chance of resolution.
That advice goes back a good while since I’m a gramps myself now. I’ve never abided by it anyway since both religion and politics are sources of excellent discussion.

Comments about Whites or Asians carry no such risk, for some reason.
Yet, volatile or not, and moreso now that we have the first serious Black candidate for president, discussion of race has become a top discussion topic mainly because Senator Obama and many Blacks mention it so often.
Obama himself initially brought up his race, (recall his line about not having a face that’s featured on our currency when he also, casually, mentioned that he’s Black), for a reason, not to discount his race but rather to accent it and suggest that Whites who voted against him were out and out racists.
A perfect stranger at a Fourth of July party I attended, having imbibed a few adult beverages, sat near the entrance to the backyard and asked everyone who passed through the gate, “Are you voting for Obama?” If the new arrivals said, “No,” he then said, “Well, you’re a racist!”
Funny or not, Mr. Adult Beverage was making a valid point, Obama’s point, that if Whites don’t vote for him then we’re racists, a transparent appeal to White Guilt...
