"Brand knew he was considered a “nobody” here in the United States, so his immediate course of action was to go political to try and endear himself to the MTV audience:
Story Continues Below Ad ↓
As a representative of the global community…a visitor from abroad…I don’t want to come across a little bit bias, but could I please ask of you, people of America, please elect Barack Obama, please...on behalf of the world. Some people… some people, I think they’re called racists, say America is not ready for a black president, but I know America to be a forward thinking country, because otherwise would you have let that retarded thinking cowboy fellow to be president for eight years? We were very impressed. It was nice of you to let him have a go, because in England George Bush would not be trusted with a pair of scissors. Very sweet of ya’
Brand continued to make sexual references to Sarah Palin while embarrassing her daughter Bristol and her fiancé Levi Johnston.
What is particularly disturbing is Palin’s children are the demographic of the MTV audience, so the jabs about Bristol’s pregnancy and her fiancé, Johnston, were seen by many of their school friends.
For a European entertainer, breaking into the American market is a huge dream. Brand was booked on to seemingly his first major U.S. venue.
However, he may have really blown his chances with fame in the United States. What kind of European entertainer comes to America and starts insulting half of the electorate? This could only be a “nobody" with no sense."

Most of the US youts who watch MTV are probably too uninformed to even realize that an Idiot from the UK has no voice in our politics.
But then again, Viacom is 'in the tank' for Obama and has contributed over ? $80,000 to him.
Well, why don't we just lump in an 'Elite Hollywood A$$ Hat Backlash' into the mix?

Smoke,
Its good that MTV is going to get a little of Oprama backlash. I doubt' it will matter since the demographics a quite different. Too many dumb yunggins running around that just won't get it until they finally move out of their Baby Boomers' houses (at the age of 30 somthing) and fully realize the impact of all those taxes and rules, that they helped create through ignornace.
With MTV, and their major sponsors, the key will be for a direct focused boycott.

Great! Just Great! Now the French just built a Doomsday Machine. Another reason to hate the French.
http://www.misunderstooduniverse.com/France_Builds_Doomsday_Machine.htm
"France builds Doomsday Machine...
In the eastern regions of France, near Lyon, flanked by virgin pine forests, streams, lakes and fir clad mountain ridges, bordering on Switzerland, lays the CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire) facility which houses over 6,300 scientists working feverishly to bring online the next generation in basic particle super-colliders. This massive Hadron collider is a magnetic ring 27 kilometers in circumference: Ultimately, it will collide beams of protons at an energy of 14 TeV. Additionally, beams of lead nuclei will be also accelerated, colliding together with an energy of 1150 TeV. The LHC will be the most powerful particle accelerator in the world.
The main purpose of this facility is to produce antimatter and black holes. A terrorist would need only half of a gram of antimatter to be equally destructive as the Hiroshima bomb. If CERN’s antimatter factory were to blow up today it would only affect the regions bordering France and Switzerland. But if CERN were to produce just one stable black hole , it could destroy the world. Surprisingly, the United States of America, through the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy, will be funding over $1 Billion Dollars towards this French experiment into creating potentially devastating black holes.
These black holes, the densest matter in the universe, will plummet to the very core of the earth, then, slowly at first, growing one particle, one quark at a time, but at an ever accelerating rate. Scientists have estimated that a stable black hole at the center of the earth could consume not only France but the whole planet in the very short time span of between 4 minutes and 30 seconds and 7 minutes.
That age-old question: Will our planet disappear in the twinkling of an eye? - Now becomes a probability if and when the CERN facility is allowed to go on-line in 2008. "

Keith "Eyes Too Far Apart" Olbermann and Chris "Tweety Bird" Matthews slapped by MSNBC / NBC. Gee I guess they finally went too far. I guess that tingle went up their leg and burrowed into their brains like those worms from Ceti Alpha 5 or was it 6?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080908/ap_en_tv/tv_nbc_olbermann
"NEW YORK - MSNBC is replacing Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews as co-anchors of political night coverage with David Gregory, and will use the two newsmen as commentators.
The change reflects tensions between the freewheeling, opinionated MSNBC and the impartial newsgatherers at NBC News. Throughout the primaries and summer, MSNBC argued that Olbermann and Matthews could serve as dispassionate anchors on political news nights and that viewers would accept them in that role, but things fell apart during the conventions."

OBAMA FLIPS OFF BABIES
The title of this article is a bit flip in itself, yet aptly flip in this situation.
According to MyWay.com, Senator Barack Hussein Obama “acknowledged Sunday that he was probably too flip when he said it was ‘above my pay grade’ to answer a question about when is a baby entitled to human rights….
Asked on Sunday whether the “above my pay grade” answer was too flip, Obama said: “Probably. …What I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into … It’s a pretty tough question.
“And so, all I meant to communicate was that I don’t presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions,” he said in an interview broadcast Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080907/D932334O2.html.
A little analysis of that flip-free response: First, notice that Obama can’t bring himself to complete his sentence as to “understanding when a soul enters into …”

Maybe the press isn't entirely in Obama's pocket yet. From the Freep, of all places, comes possibly the most balanced look I've yet seen in the MSM at Sarah Palin, where she stands, and the controversies over some of her actions as Wasilla mayor and Governor (Governess? heh heh) of Alaska. Yeah, it's only one article out of thousands, but it does show that they can be balanced when they put their so-called minds to it.

AND BIDEN FLIPS OFF CATHOLICS! SHADES OF MARIO CUOMO!
(This is a companion piece to "OBAMA FLIPS OFF BABIES")
Also from MyWaycom:
“In a separate interview, the answer to a similar question [on abortion and when life begins] came easier for Obama’s running mate, Sen. Joe Biden.
“A Roman Catholic, Biden said he accepts his church’s teachings that life begins at conception, but that the issue is personal for him. He said it wouldn’t be right to impose his views on others who are just as religious as he is.
” ‘I’m prepared as a matter of faith to accept that life begins at the moment of conception. But that is my judgment,’ Biden said on NBC’s Meet the Press. ‘For me to impose that judgment on everyone else who is equally and maybe even more devout than I am seems to me is inappropriate in a pluralistic society.’ “ (http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080907/D932334O2.html)
Former New York Governor Mario Cuomo liked to use that same gambit when he was cornered on the topic of abortion. I’m not about to question the depth of faith of either Mario the Pious (Rush Limbaugh’s nickname for Cuomo) or of Biden the Terrible, but that exercise in avoidance holds no water.
To declare that you won’t impose your beliefs on others seems all very upright and honorable but is actually a crock. We as a society ”impose our beliefs” on others as a matter of course with every law we pass, whether those laws involve morality or jaywalking.
We impose our beliefs that marrying your gerbil is wrong, that bearing false witnesss is wrong, that plagiarism is wrong.
We impose our beliefs that molesting children is wrong,...

THE HIDDEN AGENDA OF OBAMA AND McCAIN? PART DOS
(Please see “The Hidden Agenda of Obama and McCain? Can You Spare an Amero?” [posted on my website on September 1st, 2008] )
I voted for George W. Bush in 2000 by choice. I voted for him in 2004 by default. As an old aunt used to say to express her utter contempt for someone, should the NAU take full effect in my lifetime and not in his, I will make every effort to pee on his grave.
Say what you will about Wikipedia, it sometimes gets things straight as in this summary of what the North American Union, the NAU, is all about: “The North American Union (NAU) is a theoretical continental union of Canada, Mexico and the United States similar in structure to the European Union, sometimes including a common currency called the Amero. Officials from all three nations have said there are no government plans to create such a union, although the idea has been discussed and proposed in academic and scholarly circles, either as a union or as a North American community as proposed by the Independent Task Force on North America.”
What does all that mean? In brief, it would mean the end of the United States of America as we know it.
I’ve long resisted conspiracy notions. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, although with the immoral support of Castro. I believe America did land men on the moon in 1969, and that the pictures were not of the Nevada desert. I believe the Freemasons did not design the dollar bill.
However, I do believe in one conspiracy, a Washington-Ottawa-Mexico City plot to effectively dissolve the American union of fifty states and politically and economically incorporate our nation and people with those of Canada and Mexico. In fact, it may already be a done deal just waiting for full implementation...

Suddenly religious Obamapostle points out Biblical comparison for Palin
A commenter at QandO was nice enough to explain the difference between Obama Black Nixon and Palin:
Jesus was a community organizer. Pilate was a governor.
To which I replied:
And last night was the crucifixion.
Hey, you know who else was a community organizer? Don Corleone.
P.S. Here's a funny thing: If you Google "Jesus was a community organizer" "Pilate was a governor", suddenly that moronic non sequitur is all over the place.

Bratty little brother Obama cries after losing to a girl, runs to Big Sis Hillary for help
It has come to our attention that Obama is going to bring out his big gun to neutralize Sarah-cuda. From the NYTimes an hour ago, we have this, Obama Camp Turns to Clinton to Counter Palin:
This is a career ending move for Obama for countless reasons. Let me enumerate a few:
1) Let me get this straight, Sarah-cuda beats you up and steals your lunch money and instead of standing up for yourself, you write a little note about how she hurt your feelings as a community organizer and you send out another girl to fight your battle. Er, OK. Will you also be sending her out to do business with the Russians, the North Koreans, the health insurance biggies? How about if she does all the debates for you too? Because if you need Hillary to do all the fighting on your sorry ass behalf, then maybe she should be nominee.

Rantburg catches him telling the dummies (that would be you) to stop calling Obama -- and people of Obama's intelligence level, like Bill Maher, it seems -- "elitist," because the thing is, they really are elite and you should accept them as your betters and Just get over it.
Maher: "One of McCain's ads casts Obama as "the one," implying he thinks he's the Messiah. Good, maybe he can raise McCain from the dead."

Painting in Pennsylvania church proves Obama was right
So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
I think Obama was right. Check out the painting we discovered in a small-town Pennsylvania church: Jesus guards a Rio Grande border crossing.

AP tingled (but not in leg) calls Palin seductress
There is language being used by some segments of the news media toward Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin that very likely wouldn’t be tolerated if she were not a Republican and a conservative.
For example, here is the lead of a Sept. 4, Associated Press story about Gov. Palin: “With a forceful speech that served as her introduction to millions of Americans on Wednesday, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin seduced many on television who had spent days doubting her candidacy.”
The use of the word “seduced” is more than interesting. The first two definitions in the Encarta Dictionary of the word seduced are:
1. Encourage somebody to have sex.
2. Lead somebody astray.
Not until the third definition does it say “win somebody over.”
It’s doubtful anyone reading the story would think first of the third definition.

Randi Rhodes thinks getting teeth kicked in by Vietcong was enjoyable to McCain
Known as a particularly strident supporter of Barack Obama, Rhodes seems to think even John McCain's six year period of torture at the hands of the North Vietnamese is fair game. In fact, Randi has turned it into a game, one of POW denial.
RHODES: Of course he (McCain) became very friendly with the Vietnamese. They called him the Prince. He was well treated actually. And he was well treated because he traded these propaganda interviews for good treatment. So look, it's a horrible story anyway you cut it, anyway you look at it, any way you you you deal with it.
But, it's not the story Fred Thompson told. Nor is it the story Rudy Giuliani told. Nor is it the story Sarah Palin told. Nor is it the story anybody. Cindy McCain knew to limit herself to 'I think what my husband did in Vietnam was heroic' because she knows the truth too.

Streisand to sing funeral dirge for Obama
Barbra Streisand will be among the headliners at a fund-raiser for Barack Obama on Sept. 16, where she will perform for the presidential candidate at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
Streisand endorsed Obama after he secured the nomination in June. She had endorsed Hillary Clinton in the primary, and appeared and spoke at a fund-raiser for her in January. She also sang at a concert for John Kerry in 2004 and Al Gore in 2000.

NYT's article on Obama the Muslim removed
"I was a little Jakarta street kid," he said in a wide-ranging interview in his office (excerpts are on my blog, www.nytimes.com/ontheground). He once got in trouble for making faces during Koran study classes in his elementary school, but a president is less likely to stereotype Muslims as fanatics -- and more likely to be aware of their nationalism -- if he once studied the Koran with them.
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it'll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset."
Moreover, Mr. Obama's own grandfather in Kenya was a Muslim. Mr. Obama never met his grandfather and says he isn't sure if his grandfather's two wives were simultaneous or consecutive, or even if he was Sunni or Shiite.

Pelousy called up by archbishop over whether she'll still be allowed to take communion
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has accepted an invitation from San Francisco’s archbishop to discuss whether she should continue to receive communion at the Catholic Church in the wake of comments she made about abortion.
San Francisco Archbishop George H. Niederauer said he had received letters and e-mails from “many Catholics” expressing dismay over Pelosi’s remarks, in which she said the matter of when life begins remained controversial within the church. He said many of them questioned whether she should be able to receive communion from the church.
Her comments have been criticized by several Catholic Church officials, and Niederauer described them as being “in serious conflict” with the church in the Sept. 5 issue of Catholic San Francisco.

Selective Service Requirement Did Not Exist When Obama Says He Registered
You know, I had to sign up for Selective Service when I graduated from high school. .... But keep in mind: I graduated in 1979.
There are only two "little" problems:
Selective Service Registration was not possible in 1979.
Bob Owens at Pajamas Media noted that Obama registered with the Selective Service with an effective date of September 4, 1980.
The Wikipedia entry on Obama's early life agrees with the candidate's memory of when he graduated (other verification will be obtained after this post goes up):
Obama returned to Honolulu to live with his maternal grandparents while attending Punahou School, a private college preparatory school, from the fifth grade until his graduation in 1979.

Biden says life begins at conception - so please explain your support for murdering life in the womb
Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., the Democratic nominee for vice president, departed Sunday from party doctrine on abortion rights, declaring that as a Catholic, he believes life begins at conception.
In the interview Sunday, Mr. Biden tried to walk the line between the staunch abortion-rights advocates in his party and his own religious beliefs. While he said he did not often talk about his faith, he said of those who disagree with him: “They believe in their faith and they believe in human life, and they have differing views as to when life — I’m prepared as a matter of faith to accept that life begins at the moment of conception.”
